Dealing with depression in Health ·
Alex Foster6 said:I think I heard someone mention there are psychologists out there, maybe through some association or organization, that offer free services...

Does anyone know the name? I think it was something like Modus or something similar...

What do you guys think? Are we talking about something like an outpatient clinic?

Every single question I got was met with a "yes" 😲 😕

I’ve been trying to kick the smoking habit for three weeks now, but I’ve already slipped up twice. Honestly, the hardest part is just sitting at a coffee shop; I don't know what to do with my hands, and the boredom really gets to me. I’ve actually stopped going out for coffee nearly as much as I used to because of it. It's even tougher when I'm out with the crew hitting the bars—I feel like I can't even enjoy a drink without needing a cigarette. Hopefully, things will start looking up soon... 🙂

Doctors and medical students alike really ought to treat patients with dignity and respect, rather than acting like they're just livestock or a slab of meat—which, unfortunately, still happens way too often in some parts of America. Thankfully, there are plenty of wonderful physicians (and students) 🙂, but I can't help but wonder about the ones who are absolutely terrible at communicating or showing basic empathy. What on earth drives someone to go into medicine if that's their attitude? 😕
Is there any way to actually win them over?

Totally awful!

A complete disaster!

Comics are one thing, but this? This is nothing!👎

For today's audience, it isn't even funny—it's just a pathetic miss. Honestly, what a waste of time spent watching this garbage in a theater!

What were you even doing at the movies?

Didn't Ellen G. White say we shouldn't be going to theaters and things like that anyway?

We’re also talking about that process of untangling ourselves—where we find opportunities to drift back into old patterns because we honestly haven't a clue what we're doing.

The moment we start searching, we just end up more lost. 😲
And it isn't like some lofty "spirituality" kicks in later; it starts long before memory even functions. It begins the very first time you realize there might be multiple versions of the same story, making you wonder if those untouchable authorities we rely on for everything aren't actually telling us the whole truth.

We run headfirst into these "mysteries" much sooner than we think. 😉

True. I feel like we already know everything we need to know, but that knowledge is buried under so many layers of false teachings that it takes forever to dig back down to that core part of ourselves that just *knows*. 😉 What’s the worst part? While we're trying to find our own truth, we're forced to navigate a world built on someone else's version of reality, which just adds to the confusion and keeps us tangled up. I get most frustrated with myself when I ignore my own gut feeling just because I convince myself that others—the experts, the leaders, the ones I view as smarter or more enlightened—must be right. 😢

Roger Hall15 said:Everything feels so black and white when you’re a kid. You’re taught the rules: tell the truth, do this, don't do that. Right vs. wrong. It's simple.
But then life happens... and you see things for what they really are... 😉

You start noticing that not everyone plays by the rules, and honestly, sometimes you realize you shouldn't always be brutally honest either—it’s practically an unwritten social contract in America that a little white lie is better than a harsh reality. 😉 And that's how it starts. One small lie today, another tomorrow, then it's just a pattern, and eventually, you're even lying to yourself. One morning you wake up and realize you're so tangled up in your own fabrications that you can't even recognize your own truth anymore. That’s when the long process of untangling begins...

Roger Hall15 said:Are we actually chasing lies? 😲

.................................................. ........

We end up wasting all our mental energy just trying to manufacture a version of the truth that makes us feel comfortable.

😢

Roger Hall15, how are we even supposed to grasp an absolute, universal truth? If my "truth" clashes with yours, it could mean one of us is wrong, sure—but it could also mean we’re both right. What feels true or right for me might be totally different for you.

I might not have a logical answer for every single question, but I definitely have this internal compass—this gut feeling that tells me when something feels off, fake, or just plain wrong. It's hard to put into words, but it's that deep-seated certainty that something simply is or isn't the way it seems.

True, but that's just your intuition. And it only applies to you. How can that possibly apply to anyone else? In the exact same situation, my gut might be screaming "Go for it," while the person standing next to me feels a gut instinct saying "Don't do it." And honestly? Both of us could be right. 😉

Everyone has their own personal truth. But that’s not what we’re discussing here.

Then what exactly are we talking about?

(I'm interested in the topic, but I feel like I'm missing the core point, so a little clarification would go a long way. 😉 )

Truth always comes first.😁

Sometimes you have to bend the truth in life, but it really comes down to whether we're talking about a little white lie or something major.

At the end of the day, though, it's still a lie.

I rarely lie—I’d consider myself a pretty honest person—but it does depend on the situation and who I'm dealing with. It varies based on how close someone is to me as a friend.

When I'm posting here on the forum, I always say exactly what's on my mind and I stick to it.

Lies never stay hidden for long.🙂

Sometimes, being completely honest just leaves me feeling lost. 🤔
I’ve been brutally candid on this forum—just typing out exactly what was crossing my mind and how I felt in the moment—and looking back at some of my old posts actually gives me whiplash. 😁 If we are constantly raw and unfiltered, if we refuse to ever deviate from who we think we are, we lose the ability to build a cohesive identity in the eyes of others. We’re constantly evolving, learning, and getting to know ourselves better, which makes staying "consistent" almost impossible for social survival. Even when we are being truthful with ourselves and everyone else, that honesty is really just a snapshot of a single version of us, frozen in time. Something we were absolutely certain was true yesterday might feel like a total lie once we grow or change. And honestly? Sometimes even a lie eventually turns into our truth...
How can we even aim for absolute truth when we aren't even capable of fully grasping it? 😕

Bad circulation sucks for me too.

Whenever I’m consistent with my workouts, things improve, but the second I skip training for even a few days, I'm right back where I started.

My feet are always freezing; no matter what I do, I just can't get them warm enough.😬

Hey, stumbled upon this health thing by accident... have you guys seen this blog www.123.blog.hr
I was trying to quit smoking, and they linked me to this site... I think it was called NRG something? It had some info about staying healthy during winter and vitamins... anyway, check out the correct link on this little blog.

I totally forgot to ask... who’s handling your website design? It’s massive... you've got a ton of links and images everywhere... everything needs to be synced up perfectly.

That BMI tool is solid, though... I've actually seen similar ones on a few other sites before.

I honestly think it works... I stumbled upon this by accident. I know their products are top-tier, but as for how they affect smoking... I HAVE NO CLUE.

Come on, give a guy a break... help a friend out here!

I've been hearing a lot about Herbalife lately... I know their stuff is solid, but I'm not really sure how much it actually helps with quitting smoking... though they definitely seem to be full of Energy.

Daniel Patel said:Get this! I just found out that marijuana can actually help treat lung cancer. I’m just gutted my grandfather passed away five years ago... It feels like the people on these forums have basically stumbled upon a cure for lung cancer.😂

Sure, but smoking joints definitely isn't curing cancer... once you hit temperatures over 400 degrees Fahrenheit, you're just releasing carcinogens.

Gerald Cox38...
Just because marijuana has a lot of beneficial properties doesn't mean smoking a joint is going to do you any good. It's like saying people don't eat hemp seeds even though they're super nutritious... birds love them, but humans generally don't.

It's like arguing that because we extract certain compounds from crude oil to make medicine, drinking petroleum must be healthy.

Daniel Patel said:There are people who actually enjoy being raped! Should we legalize that too?😕

Look, the difference is that rape involves committing a crime against someone else. When you smoke weed, you aren't hurting anyone else—at most, you're messing with yourself. Honestly, if we're talking about things that cause harm, look at how much damage bad diets or processed junk food do compared to marijuana... you can't even compare apples to oranges here.

...but honestly, marijuana legalization in America wouldn't be a smart move either, because overusing it would just speed up the decline of an already pretty dim-witted nation.

Man, you're such a joke. All you know how to do is hand out bans...
Honestly, go screw yourself—maybe then you can ban me with that.
Can't you see I'm actually trying to be civil? It's not even about being "anonymous," I just don't feel like registering on this site.
Enjoy your little job while it lasts.

Oh, absolutely—just so all the new piles of nonsense you guys dump here every single day can finally get some breathing room...
This whole thing will probably fizzle out soon just like the IMF did. Once we wipe the slate clean, you'll just end up with a brand new forum anyway.
