Ron is the absolute GOAT. I was honestly cracking up watching how terrified he gets the second he spots any kind of spider 😁

And can we talk about how much of a massive role a Snape plays in the book, yet they barely give him anything to do in the movie? It’s ridiculous. A friend and I actually decided to go see the third installment specifically because we heard Snape and Malfoy would have a bigger part in it 👍

Jack Harris3, I could easily see myself getting lost in the world of Harry Potter—I actually read the book, and it’s pretty great—but man, the movie is just a disaster! How does anyone manage to make such a mediocre film? And don't even get me started on the guy playing Harry; how can he be so unlikable and just plain bad at his job? Then you've got Dobby, who is portrayed as being so incredibly fake. > And why is Malfoy such a joke? Honestly, even Snape isn't much better.

Aside from being visually insane, I could have easily spent the whole movie just watching two villains: Snape and Malfoy senior.

The guy playing Malfoy's dad has such a look, my friend and I couldn't stop staring at him! Honestly, I'm floored—words fail me—he's just... a presence!

I'm also with you on Dobby being total garbage; you can tell he's just some computer-generated mess, there's zero realism there. It's like trying to convince someone that Roger Rabbit is an actual rabbit, 🙄

Otherwise, the movie is a complete joke in terms of how stupid it is. Good grief...

Who else caught this one? Personally, I thought it was a fantastic movie! Russell Crowe really stole the show for me—it’s not like he even had to try to pull off that cold, detached vibe 🙂; the rest of the cast was top-notch too. My only gripe is that the pacing drags a bit toward the end when they start the whole shootout in that cabin and everyone starts dropping 🙄.
I actually missed the last five minutes, so I had to go around bugging people just to find out how it all wrapped up 🙂.

I honestly can't stand book adaptations—especially when it comes to HP—and even though I know I’m looking at two and a half hours of pure, unadulterated boredom, I've decided to tag along with my classmates just so I have something to do. I'm just praying we don't end up stuck with terrible seats 🙂

coastalorca3, those are pretty much the only movies I'm actually looking forward to catching on my old VHS tapes—Memento and Mullholland Drive. I'll probably get them loaded up on my home media player tomorrow.
As for Fight Club, the book definitely hits harder.

I’m not actually counting down the days for any specific release right now. Sure, when *Gangs of New York* finally drops, I’ll sit down and watch it, but I’m not treating it like some holy grail. I’m not obsessing over it the way I spent years waiting for nothing but *Fight Club*.

Hold on a second—you spend all this time lecturing us about how we should only care about big commercial blockbusters, and then you turn around and admit you were dying to see *Fight Club*? And honestly, why even bother building up hype for a movie based on a novel? A good book is usually plenty satisfying on its own, and let's be real: you can't really make a movie better than the source material. Besides, if you go from the film back to the book, what are you actually gaining? Everything's already been taken from the pages, and a screen just can't capture that specific prose style that made *Fight Club* what it was in the first place.

I actually think it’s just now hitting the mainstream rotation. I didn't even realize it had played at that small theater; I only figured out which movie we were even talking about a couple of weeks ago. :\

Oh, right, I totally forgot to mention *Insomnia*. Honestly, I’ve been meaning to check that one out—I'm actually pretty curious to see if it lives up to the hype.

The Godfather Part II is still better than the first one for me, though pretty much everyone I know thinks the sequel actually tops the original.

Wait, what? You're telling me a sequel could possibly outshine Vito Corleone? Or even beat out what I’d argue is the greatest opening sequence in cinema history? ("I Believe in America"—honestly, I'm speechless!) No way in hell.

Sequels are usually garbage, easy as that. Most of them are total trash. I mean, the Star Wars films didn't completely butcher the legacy—though I can't quite remember who else helped mess things up 🙂
