The real issue starts at home
It’s all about the parents
I look around and see how many young guys today are basically destined to be gay
Their families are just totally broken up
You’ve got these kids living with their moms until they're twenty
They’re missing that father figure entirely
Of course they end up turning gay—they never had a dad around, and the mom is just... well, she's doing too much
That doesn't necessarily hold up. I know plenty of guys from Chicago who grew up without fathers and aren't gay. Same goes for guys with divorced parents who aren't gay either.
I know someone like that. Actually, I know quite a few, though with this particular individual, it’s just incredibly obvious (I’m starting to think that 60 percent statistic is actually accurate). A constant urge to manipulate, sociopathy—if that's even the right term—and general antisocial behavior are all major red flags. These types of people genuinely enjoy psychologically abusing others and forcing their own rules on everyone else: it’s their way or the highway. They specifically hunt for people they perceive as weaker just so they can treat them however they please. If a victim finally stands up to them, they won't chase after them, because they already know there's another target out there to terrorize. But if that abused person ever tries to come back, the psychopath will welcome them with open arms, simply because they need someone they can torment and enjoy breaking.
Pyromania, sadism, and pure destructiveness are just a few other examples of psychopathic traits.
Maybe it's dying out. Music matters to me, I guess, but I can't say my entire life revolves around it. If I actually had the money, sure, I'd be buying vinyl and CDs. But I'm broke, even though I have internet access 🙂 plus there's just this constant influx of commercial bands lately; most of them lack the raw power that older groups used to have

I’m heading into my sophomore year of high school. My grades are pretty much straight A's because I spend most of my time hitting the books. In class, I don't really talk—I just sit there and soak everything up, which probably makes me look a little weird to everyone else. People tell me I’m super smart, but I’m definitely not the social type. I don't say much, and when I do, I keep it short and sweet. Sometimes I feel like people just tune me out when I'm around. Honestly, I don't have any real friends yet—you know, people I actually hang out with who aren't family. I don't really go out because I don't have a crew to go with, and I'm not into drinking 🙂 either. I don't even listen to music. I'm constantly trying to level up and be the best version of myself—basically aiming for perfection—but lately, I feel like I'm just becoming this monotone, boring person. Outside of school, I almost never hang out with people my age. It makes me feel like I'm unapproachable... and honestly, just lonely. I really want to talk more... but what am I supposed to talk about? How do you even start a conversation? How do I find a real friend or actually connect with someone?
Everyone calls me a weirdo. To be honest, it doesn't bother me that they call me that, it bothers me because it feels true. Everyone wonders why I'm so quiet... but what is there to say? I stay silent because I feel like I have nothing to contribute. How do you learn to be funny? Is being witty something you're born with, or can you actually practice it? And how do you become someone people actually want to be around?
What should I do? Where do I even start? I just want to change everything right now...
Help me out!
I had, how should I put this, basically the exact same problem, except back then I was driven by the music I was creating and listening to. Just accept yourself for who you are. Changes are fine, but if you obsess over them, then they aren't really okay. Find something you're good at and you'll meet plenty of people who share those interests. There you go.
And regarding being witty, don't stress yourself out over that yet; being funny doesn't necessarily mean someone is a good person..
I’d probably describe it through pure emotion... I guess I'd tell him: imagine yourself when you're pissed off, that's what red feels like—all aggressive and loud, just wanting to jump out and make a scene. When you're happy, it's blue; when you're calm, it's green, and so on. It likely won't work, but I suppose it's worth a shot, isn't it?
I guess a lot of smart people end up feeling oppressed. It seems like when one person rises, others feel they're falling, which leads to all sorts of delusions. Maybe I'm being selfish, but I consider myself highly intelligent, and because I always had an answer for everything, people labeled me as having some sort of superiority complex. Honestly, intelligence can be a curse sometimes, or maybe a gift. Either way, I highly doubt I have Asperger's. 🙂
