Jonathan Wright2 said:Zoran, please don't be mad at me. But honestly, you're the main reason half the folks on the History sub-forum have bailed out of here. Of the other 50% left, about a quarter are just lurking, waiting around without saying a word, and the rest are just trying to keep things moving however they can. You’re a great forum member, truly, but as a mod? You totally crushed people's spirit. I know you mean well, I really do, but this turned out terrible. And let's not forget, you've got the notorious klcclk right behind you.
There isn't a single nice thing to say about you two... if there was, it would just be a footprint in the sand. Sorry, I gotta be blunt, but I'm saying this for the good of the community.
In the meantime, Ostric slapped me with a penalty because I got into a pointless argument on the History board over absolutely nothing.
If you set aside his political leanings, Ostric actually does a solid job. And I am stressing—if you ignore the politics.
So, moderator Altairfan just slapped me with a 100-point penalty:
Profile Infraction April 28, 2021. 3:55 PM June 27, 2021. 3:55 PM 100 Homophobia, multiple trolling incidents
And get this—he didn't even have the decency to actually tell me what I supposedly did to earn those 100 points.
The only time I even brought up LGBT stuff was over on the television / series / Shadow and Bone subforum, and they wiped every single one of my posts there anyway.
I’m asking moderator Altairfan to step up and explain exactly where I said anything homophobic.
If he can't, then I'm calling for Altairfan to be stripped of his moderator status.

Michelle Bennett5 said:5A is just the peak rating for the power supply. If you actually want to talk real wattage, you’re looking at voltage divided by resistance—and let's be real, that resistance depends entirely on how dry your hands are At 12V, if your skin is bone dry, you won't feel a thing. But get them even a little bit damp? Yeah, that'll give you a nasty little zap
By the way, there’s actually a standard for DC voltage out there—if I remember right, it was 24V for general stuff and 9V for anything meant to be handled by kids.
You can actually handle about 70 volts of AC pretty easily if you're young, your hands are bone dry, and you've got some solid rubber boots on. Touching a wire isn't the scary part; the real danger is staying connected to it.
The real question is how much punishment a goat can actually take. Like, typical two-kilogram range? But look, try this: toss a standard 1.5v AA alkaline battery from Duracell into some saltwater and stick your fingers in there. Let me know how that goes (ps: please don't go doing stuff you don't understand)
So, around 6:00 PM today, I noticed something super weird—I basically can't access most of the public boards on this forum anymore. It doesn't even matter if I'm logged in or not; they just show up as invisible in my browser. The only way around it is if I already have the direct link pulled up in my browser, then I can log in and post like normal. Can someone please fix this?
Let’s be real, 99% of what people call "data recovery" is total BS.
I mean, actual serious recovery starts when you have to swap out a hard drive's logic board. But if you want to talk about the *real* heavy lifting? That’s when you're cracking open an HDD to swap out platters or mess with the heads and actuators. That's where the magic happens.
Good grief, we’re all gonna be gray-haired by the time this thread ends, especially with how much Larry Walker24 is gonna go off during the Eurovision Song Contest.
Larry Walker24, seriously though—given how insanely stubborn you are, have you ever thought about taking up professional sawing?
Most likely, yeah, though the Wi-Fi card in the PC probably has an external antenna anyway.
Look, after 35+ years messing around with networks, I’ve become incredibly old-school about this stuff. Honestly? I’d much rather spend a solid month running cables the right way and enjoy total peace of mind for the next twenty years than deal with constant headaches because something isn't stable. Just do the math: take one user with five devices, multiply that by a hundred, and you'll see why it matters. You need Cat5e, conduit, proper grounding, surge protection, lightning protection—the whole nine yards.
But hey, sales teams love cheap fixes. It’s the kind of nonsense that makes a technician want to just quit and walk out on the job.
Instead, sales basically sells people thin air with 4G/5G. And they're just creating massive problems down the road.
Nicholas King said:Why on earth would anyone bother connecting a PC wirelessly to a router that’s sitting just a meter away?
But that’s exactly the point! Think about it—your PC, your Smart TV, even your laptop or a PlayStation... they’re basically stationary. WiFi is meant for mobile gear that’s constantly moving or, you know, stuck in some super awkward spot where cables won't reach. Plus, there's the whole technical headache: WiFi works like a "shared bus." Everyone's fighting over the same limited bandwidth, bumping into each other with that round-robin style (time division multiplexing), which just tanks your performance and leads to those annoying timeouts. Meanwhile, if you stick with UTP, everyone gets their own dedicated 100 or 1000mbps lane. No fighting, just speed.
Get your PC, Smart TV, and laptop off the Wi-Fi. Seriously, stop relying on Wi-Fi for this.
It’s still a bit fuzzy whether it's just your PC dropping the connection. If it's strictly that one machine, you're probably looking at a bad network card. But if everything else is cutting out too? Then we're talking router or access point settings. It could be something like running out of IP addresses on your DHCP pool, so your PC is basically fighting everyone else for a spot at the table.
Joseph Green12 said:I don't have a fever Which tests should I get for EBV and herpes?
No fever here. Usually, it starts out feeling like a common cold for a few days, and then it just settles into that chronic phase with all those exact symptoms. I know tons of people—including some serious athletes—who went through this, and they all say the same thing: they felt like they got hit by a truck for months on end. It often involves a slightly enlarged liver, too. I can't remember every single detail, but I'll drop a link to a recent article I stumbled upon just a couple of days ago.
@cika strile went totally off the rails and completely lost the plot here.
Honestly, I’ve taken way more heat from people on this forum than anyone else. Back in the day, around 2010, I actually questioned how clean they were keeping the relics in some of those old churches, and man, did I get roasted for it—I probably got a few dozen angry messages, maybe even from @cika strile himself.
It’s possible the guy just finally snapped, especially while we're talking about that poor girl's situation, combined with all the absolute garbage in our system that seems to be spiraling out of control lately.
So, let's all take a second and figure out which day works best.
$125 million just for props, CGI, and pure woke propaganda? If you haven't caught on yet, this whole movie is ultra-woke. Basically, the guys couldn't handle female supremacy, so they gave in to their primal impulses and literally wiped out all the women—as dumb as that sounds. But hey, woke ideology rules supreme, right?
They didn't drop five million on the cast and sets. Just imagine where the other 120 million went.
gentlestag15 said:Sure, it’s easy to justify everything when you’re sitting in a position of power. Like, imagine someone writes "you look great." That could be trolling, a sarcastic insult, sexism—even if there are beautiful people out there, by saying that, you're implying everyone else is ugly, which has nothing to do with the topic, etc., etc. And you look at those explanations and think, "Yeah, Smith is right." But you fail to notice that someone previously wrote "you look like a dog," and he didn't give them a warning card, but instead gave a massive penalty for a simple remark like "you look great."
Here’s an example where pure Nazi showmanship and racism are tolerated; the only reason I got cards or even a ban was because I commented on the moderation work—basically, their laziness regarding the rules.
Just a few quotes from posts that weren't penalized, which, aside from the Nazi showmanship, I consider insults since I'm from that region. And why does he allow this? Because he's full of his own prejudices and chauvinistic thinking. Go ahead, write something like those posts below against Mexicans or Canadians, and you won't lose 500 points for hate speech.
The mountain folk are good people. Just like everyone else.
They're just backward and primitive. That's because they were isolated in the mountains for so long, far away
from the main roads and the flow of civilization.
Those mountain types are definitely unique...
It's not just killing; it's the butchering, the torture, the mutilation... Destroying dignity... Killing a living soul... A hatred that is purely primitive, brutal, stupid, dim-witted, dark, cursed, and wretched...
Moonshine, brothers, a semi-literate bunch of people, a knife, and some idea of how to kill someone in the most savage way possible.
Coastal folks of all faiths, highlanders of all faiths, Mexicans of all faiths, mountain Albanians of all faiths...
The highest caliber of people in the world, top-tier war criminals in every conflict, world-class drug smugglers, Pink Panthers and the like... Top-notch peddlers of every kind of bullshit.
The Turks basically raised the Dinaroide types just to be thieves and criminals working for the Ottoman Empire.
I’d actually agree with BolajiBade that those guys are total amateurs when it comes to killing compared to Germanic peoples. It’s the same story across the board—they’re worse at warfare, worse at killing, worse at economics, state organization, pretty much everything. Physically, they lack the build for real labor (mostly ectomorph types) and they’re intellectually lacking too (just look at the IQ scores in North American countries versus Northwestern Europe). A genetic dead end.
Good grief, you can read absolutely anything on the internet these days.
Honestly, you guys really need to get out more. Go touch some grass. Sit under a tree, take a breather, and actually think for a second. Then come back home.
