urbanheron4 said:Angel Heart is pretty much the textbook definition of a movie like that.

Great flick, but honestly, it's more fantasy than thriller.

bizarre detail: I actually watched this movie with my girlfriend at an outdoor cinema back in the day. A massive storm rolls in out of nowhere and water starts pouring over the cables right onto the crowd. We scrambled to get out, and like two hundred people all crammed into this tiny little ticket booth area.
It was wild—everyone looked totally high, just staring at the screen while the rain lashed down and people were literally suffocating in the crush. You have to watch the movie to really get the irony of it all.

Me? Well, me and my girl managed to duck under the projector wall along with a couple of her friends, so we actually stayed bone-dry through the end of the film.

Afterward, her friends wouldn't even talk to me for two days because they thought I'd lost my mind. Oh, and to top it all off, a fire hydrant burst right in the middle of the main town square, shooting a jet of water twenty or thirty feet into the air! Nobody wanted to get close because they didn't want to get soaked, so we just stood there watching the crew from the local water department roll up in their municipal utility vehicle, crank the valve shut, and we all gave them a round of applause.

The worst part is that nobody believes me when I tell these stories; they just think I'm making stuff up.😢

Two EMTs stumble upon a series of fatal incidents linked to a new synthetic drug, making for a pretty decent thriller. I'd give it a 7/10.

Two EMTs stumble onto some pretty heavy cases involving a new synthetic drug. It's a solid thriller—I'd give it a 7/10.[/I]

The movie is Sci-Fi.

Pretty good.

Get this—insects and those creepy-crawly sea cephalopods? They’re actually basically cousins. Crazy, right?

People get all weirded out when you serve them a massive pile of cockroaches and just casually go, "Hey, here's some fresh shrimp, they're still popping!"

Man, when people start acting like complete idiots... it’s unreal. Seriously, they’ll be serving up food and then somehow manage to hide the fact that the waitress has such tiny legs she can't even sprint to the table before her feet go numb. Then you’ve got everyone else sitting there debating who actually saw the service, whether we deserve this mess, how we’re gonna get out of here, and who’s stuck behind the wheel for the drive home. It’s a total circus. And don't even get me started on those greasy diners we hit up—I swear, nobody ever walks out of one of those places on two steady legs. Absolute madness. E.

P.S.: Just so we’re all on the same page, this sub is called Culture and Entertainment. And before anyone gets the wrong idea—that "Culture" bit is basically just us talking nonsense.
Patrick Martin said:Look, I found out recently—just through some straight-up talking—that you don't actually have a clue...

Man, he sounds like a total pushover, like some polite little lobster. You could just pat him on the head until he stops snapping his claws because he's trying way too hard to be a "tough guy."
Patrick Martin said:And when I was rambling on about how American actors don't have any backbone left, everyone just jumped down my throat like a pack of wolves.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of that dismissive attitude toward directors either. I guess I’m still one of those old-school idealists and romantics, a bit of a film bohemian, so that kind of cynical take doesn't sit right with me either—especially coming from someone actually in the industry.

Seriously though, do you even know what a cockroach is? 😁
It’s like when someone slams the bus doors shut and just can't help letting out one of those heavy, profound little sighs before they sit down.

Basically, your whole life pretty much boils down to just one single problem.
Wait, what?

Can someone explain this to us mere mortals who don't live in Hollywood?
For anyone out there actually trying to take movies like this seriously, check out these absolute masterpieces instead:
- Sorry to Bother You, 2018
- Waves, 2019

I don't know, man, I just can't help cracking up. I mean, yeah, you gotta give it a minute to sink in, true. *Chuckle.*
Someone on this forum had this in their signature:

If everyone lived by that whole "eye for an eye" system, we’d all just be stumbling around blind and toothless.
Connecting two PCs via LAN cable in IT Support ·
Charles Thompson15 said:I hope it’s okay if I jump in here; I couldn't find a better thread for this.

Does anyone know where I can pick up some UTP cable? I need about 5 meters, specifically looking for 0.5 or 0.6 thickness with solid cores, Category 7 or 8.

Micro Center doesn't have what I need, and as far as I know, Best Buy is out of luck too.

The technicians from AT&T told me I'd need this specific type of cable to connect my router to the wiring up in the attic.

There's no such thing as a 0.5 thickness Cat 5, and honestly, tell that poor soul on the helpdesk to go hang out on Reddit and give Jack Cook7 a high five.
Just grab a 5-meter Cat5e cable with RJ45 connectors on both ends—that’s all you’re gonna need for the next 30 years. It'll run you about $6.75 including tax.
The absolute worst part about how this movie ends? The wife still loves her husband. Like, they actually seem to enjoy each other's company. That’s pretty damn rare, if you ask me.

It's tragic. I can already see the sequel being written. "Who Stole the Ashtray?" dun-dun-dun-dun! And there goes the crew, charging straight for the ashes. Turns out the ashtray was worthless all along, but hey, at least they kept their principles.

Badabafpufpafkukujao. Then plot twist: it turns out the wife is actually a secret agent who pulled off a total pufpafjaokrokren. So then, just to keep her cover intact, she "accidentally" passes out right into the arms of some random guy.

That's exactly how my grandma used to tell me stories after my dad would vent to her.
It’s honestly surreal when you watch someone try to explain to Tarzan Hoggar why Tom is constantly hunting Jerry, only for Jerry to absolutely wreck him every single time.
Nathan Ramirez6 said:The funniest part is when those bus doors slam shut right in my face🍿

It’s right after they toss him out the window, and then he just politely asks the panicked driver to let him stay outside and not call 911.

Then he hops back on the bus, slams the doors shut, and goes:

—"I only have one problem in my life."
The whole thing is basically just one big surreal joke.

I was totally sold the second he realized that necklace had vanished from the ashtray. You just have to watch the look on his face.
- Dobrica, Dobrica, Dobrica.
- The necklace is gone.
- Turn off the lights, clear out the streets, I'm outta here—bam, pow, zap, boom, wham, kaboom, crash, smash, splat, crunch, ouch, my head, why does this always happen to me?!
- Look, the necklace just slid under the couch.
Man, *The Passionate Collar* is absolutely top-tier. It’s wild—the guy just goes totally ballistic, like some manic lunatic tearing through everything in sight, and then out of nowhere, he finds this lost collar tucked under the sofa. And he’s just like, "Oh, hey, look at that"

Right now, we're basically just trying to herd cats here..

Ever tried telling the cat jokes until it finally crawls out from under the sofa, rolling on its back because it's laughing so hard? "Man, I had to come out and see who the crazy one was!"

Wait, I just realized the whole topic here is actually about Al Dent.

Seriously, Al Dent, are you for real? Is the entire forum supposed to just spin around you constantly? Do you even realize how much of an expensive operation it is to try and fix someone's sense of humor? We’ve got the best surgeons in America trying for centuries, and look at the pathetic results they get! It’s a total disgrace to the profession. Honestly...🤦

The guy’s got zero arguments, just pure ego.
But hey, whatever... we're all human, right?

Wrapped up in all that ideological baggage?!
If he didn't have that, he'd actually be a decent moderator.
Honestly, it’d be better for everyone if this forum had one more mod to handle things.

Look, I gotta come clean—about 98% of my posts are just trolling, messing around, being intentionally dense, or just straight-up lying. The rest? Just a massive pile of pseudo-scientific garbage I scraped from "reliable" links on the web.

Man alive, if I could find whoever performed surgery on Americans to remove their sense of humor, I’d give them a firm handshake.

Man, this guy is literally commenting on when I go to bed. Honestly, thank God he isn't commenting on when I go to the bathroom! 😁
Man, what Al Dent is doing is seriously not okay. He’s jumping down my throat every single chance he gets!
Man, this guy is literally obsessed with nitpicking every single little thing I say. He's all over my every move!
Look, can we please just stick to the topic? Let's try to keep things civil and avoid all the trolling and flame wars. It'd make life a lot easier for everyone!
Meanwhile....

Take a look at what I’ve been venting about here—it’ll show you exactly why this thread even exists in the first place.

Come on, people! There’s gotta be life outside of this forum, right?

You step outside, take one big, deep breath of fresh air, only to have a pigeon dump its business right on your shoulder, and then the first person you run into asks if you’ve got the Wi-Fi password. Honestly? La vita è bella.
