First, I let myself go full throttle and blow a fuse, and honestly... anyone who gets in my way during that moment is going to have a very bad day.
After the dust settles, I’ll sit down with whoever crossed the line and we'll hash it out like adults. If we can't find common ground? Then it's over... goodbye forever.
I’m not saying you’re a bad mother, but you admitted it yourself—you know things can't keep going like this. And LOOK, I KNOW YOU HEARD EVERYTHING, but at some point, you have to make a call and actually do something about it.
I'm speaking from my own experience here.
It worked for me (though I didn't have a kid at the time, so you've got that extra layer of motivation), so why shouldn't it work for you?
I truly wish you the best of luck with getting an abortion, but I’m not going to sit here and coddle you... it's hard and it sucks no matter how you look at it. And I'll say it again—you don't really have a choice but to go through with it... damn it.
You don't have a choice—you just have to get clean. After a month, it won't feel quite as brutal. But you absolutely have to change your environment... make it so you can't even get near it anymore. You mentioned you don't have much of a social circle, but you're still going to have to buy from someone—so move away from the people who make it easy for you to access drugs. My advice for detoxing? Drink a ton of tea—like, one to three liters a day—as long as you're feeling crappy.
And look, Child Protective Services is going to be breathing down your neck for a long time, but if you actually want to keep your kid, you need to get sober. Once you've been clean for a few years, they'll finally get off your back.
Good luck.

A person feels content with others only when they are truly at peace with themselves.
When we find ourselves going through a rough patch, we tend to focus much more on how others behave. It’s because their actions can hurt us, or perhaps just reinforce those nagging doubts that we aren't quite good enough...
I used to approach everyone with a smile and total confidence. That worked out fine, I guess, but maybe it was unnecessary. It seems enough to be that way with the people who actually matter—your family, your close friends, or your partner.
As for everyone else, they either don't care, or they are far too preoccupied with their own struggles. Trying to help them might just end up weighing them down further, so it probably isn't worth spending your energy there.
And one more thing—I think you should only offer advice if someone is in actual danger or if they specifically ask for it.
People are fundamentally good.
Preach! 🙂
Tighten up your security and stand by your convictions.
People are just like sharks sensing blood in 1.2 miles the water.
The second you show weakness, you become the perfect target.
Stop trying so hard to please everyone—you can still be a good, honest, and decent person even if you look a little more intimidating. Trust me on this one... 😉
Look, just learn the language. It shouldn't be that much of a struggle...
And besides, plenty of people speak English, so you could at least try starting there.

I'll second that. 👍 👍 👍
I think there’s a bit of truth to that, especially if they actually know what they're doing.
Maybe you should look into enrolling in a course that actually catches your interest?
That way, you might actually run into people who are a bit more on your level...
Just go out there and try different hobbies until you stumble upon something that actually clicks... something that keeps you interested without being a total disaster for your health.
Just go ahead and do it—see what kind of hell breaks loose.
Who cares, anyway? You’ll probably just get hit by a car tomorrow. 🙄 🙄 🙄
Well, you're all just young girls right now...
That awful adolescent phase will pass eventually. 🙂

Look, I'm not trying to "help" her through those heavy, dramatic conversations filled with nonsense... not at all. It's more about using humor to lighten the mood... and if it doesn't work, well, at least I hope it isn't making things worse. I'm doing my best...
But if we followed that logic strictly, every psychiatrist and therapist in the country would be considered incompetent... because you'd have to assume their own heads are perfectly organized and resolved.🙂
They love to lecture people on being objective—it's a staple of their training—but you never truly know what they've been through themselves. You don't know if they're looking at life through the same lens as their patients or if they were once on the other side of the couch... there's no way to tell.
That's why, personally, I'm not much of a believer in psychotherapy and all that. It's fine information to have, but that's where my interest ends.
Best,🙂
Joking around just makes it harder to take the problem seriously, and I didn't say you should suffocate (your friend) with intense, heavy talks. She has to sort her own head out. No matter how you spin it—you aren't helping. But maybe she's different and you know exactly how to support and encourage her.
Not all psychologists are the same, either. As for psychiatrists? I can't stand them—they just write prescriptions and call it a day.
There’s zero point in trying to lift anyone else up if you haven't even sorted out your own mess first.
Noah Sanchez7, get it together and stop with the self-pity already.
Anything is possible if you actually have the will—whether that means bending the world to your liking or forcing yourself to fit in...
Every bit of effort eventually pays off, I truly believe there's a reward for the grind.
Either that, or just keep being rebels for the sake of it—you clearly have no idea what you're missing out on in the real world.
Noah Sanchez7 said:Exactly, I'm fully aware of that. I spend every waking moment trying to find that final answer, that moment where I can say, "This is me, and this is how I'm going to live."
It reminds me of those lyrics from a band back in my hometown: "To be the same, to be special, to be free, to be just my own self!"
I'm quitting the blockers. This is probably my fifth attempt at getting clean, though the first four times weren't even my choice—it was just pressure from my family.
Now, I've decided to go clean, at least until I can finally stand on my own two feet and show everyone, "See? I can do it," before heading back to my destructive ways.
Whatever. I guess I'm just a destructive person.
The truth is, you don't actually want to quit. Addiction has become your way of rebelling, your way of making a statement. Just be yourself, be unique, be free—without all the nonsense.
I went cold turkey and it never even crossed my mind to pick it up again. Try doing that and see if the urge even hits you.
Besides, YOU have to be the one who wants to quit. Family pressure, proving people wrong... it's all just noise. 👎
I hear you loud and clear. (By the way, I'm George Jackson5—I don't usually post much unless I'm introducing myself).
But honestly, the sooner you make up your mind, the better... at least you won't be stuck on this emotional roller coaster every single day. And hey, nobody is saying you won't still be able to do whatever the hell you want.
Drugs might seem like a blast for a little while, but eventually, they just consume you. It stops being fun... it actually becomes as miserable as it can possibly get.
So, how exactly do you plan on getting off the wagon?
You have to fight for what you believe is right, whether you’re trying to change the world or just standing up for your own principles.
But whining about it while you let yourself fall apart? That’s just pointless...
A friend of mine once told me—he’s gone now, an overdose—that nobody would even remember him in a month once he was dead.
I fought my way through addiction, and I don't think that means I've settled for some mediocre, half-hearted existence. I still live life on my own terms, and if anyone wants to judge me or spread rumors... well, that's their problem.
Don't go taking anything without a doctor's green light first.
