So, we’ve got about 280 people on the wedding guest list. Realistically? Probably somewhere between 200 and 220 will actually show up. But honestly, my brain is just totally fried trying to calculate how many pounds of dessert I actually need to order...

The setup is going to be round tables with maybe 8 or 10 people per table, plus some extra to pass around...

As for the stuff at the house afterward, his mom is handling all the baking there...

If anyone knows the standard math for how much food you actually need, please let me know!

Pusa to everyone, good luck!

The venue suggested that for the tables, it's best to provide about 3.3 pounds of dessert per table (assuming 10-11 people per table), and then for the individual favor boxes, aim for about 9 ounces per box.

Ever since we put down our deposit, we've been heading over there constantly for treats. Seriously, just go by and you'll probably score some free samples. Definitely let me know what you think, though—I'm dying to hear your take. Both our parents and grandparents have tried them, and everyone's obsessed. I don't want to sound like a walking commercial or anything, but honestly, the ladies running the place are just wonderful—super friendly and welcoming.

I can personally vouch for this. We were given half a pound of assorted treats to sample for free, and every single one was better than the last. In fact, we’re heading back there this week to place our official order.😍

So, I wanted to see if anyone here has actually ordered from them before? Any experiences to share?🤷

My future maid of honor actually had some experience with them, and unfortunately, it wasn't good. She ordered a cake for a christening, and they did the exact opposite of what she requested. She said the design was tacky beyond belief and she felt embarrassed even presenting it.👎

I wanted to share a little success story with you all—we finally pulled the trigger and ordered treats from Em!
We stopped by this past Saturday and picked up a box with about 13 ounces complimentary; I have to say, the pastries were truly exquisite. Each one was better than the last, though since it was a bit of an off-peak period, they didn't have their full selection available. Regardless, we are very happy with our choice.👍 The rate is $27 per pound when you purchase more than 22 pounds.

We also took the opportunity to visit that new bakery over at the local suburban market. The decor is absolutely charming, and the sweets are equally delicious, though I found the pricing to be somewhat exorbitant ( $33 per pound).

feraltrucker22, 😘

I haven't had the chance to visit yet, but based on what I've seen online and in that Target flyer, the pastries look incredible. I can only hope they taste as good as they look.
I really need to make a trip out to the Suburban area soon!🙂

Excuse me, does anyone happen to know the current price per pound for wedding cakes at Emma's bakery?

Since I see so many of you praising their pastries, I've become quite curious about their pricing.

northernhawk87, that cake looks absolutely exquisite—truly right up my alley. Might I ask where you had it made?
