Just try the test again. Honestly, at 12 DPO, you should already be seeing a positive result—you were definitely just testing too early!!!
Don't just sit there waiting around—go ahead and run a test so you actually know where you stand!
Just grab a kit at CVS and you can have it done in just a few days!
boldpanther102 said:Are you feeling full yet? I’m expecting about 190 people, which means roughly 75 lbs plus another 65 lbs for the gift boxes, and then an extra bit for the local community center... Uuuuugh, I’m gonna need 150 pounds total!
Wait, why 65 lbs just for the favor boxes? You aren't planning on handing out a separate box to every single guest, right?
I’m telling you, those pastries from Pekrana mus over in Columbus are absolute fire. People can say whatever they want, but I think they’re incredible!
And that fruit cake? Man, my mouth is watering just thinking about it... I could honestly demolish the whole thing by myself right now.
Patrick Brown3, how much are you dropping on a pound of cookies lately?
Hey, Anthony Kelly81, thanks a ton! You were such a huge help. Sending big hugs!
And then, of course, we’d top it all off with a massive, over-the-top cake 🙂
We were thinking about doing the one with the croquant, then once the cake is served, just grab a spatula and go to town on it, California style. I bet people who don't know our traditions would be absolutely floored—honestly, I was just as shocked when I saw it happen for the first time.
🙂, you're pretty sweet. honestly, have you even hung out around New York City before?
How is she actually gonna move that thing though? It looks super fragile to me.
And honestly, this croquant is mostly just for show, since most people here in New York City aren't really familiar with how we do things back in California.
And hey, the dates actually line up perfectly too. I’m just gonna settle up my bills once I hit the beach in Miami—I've still got plenty of time before then.
I’m thinking about going with a classic tiered look, maybe 5 to 7 layers. I’d love to hit 7 since it’s actually our 7th anniversary. I checked in with a local bakery over in Brooklyn and the lady there said it would be around $667, but she needs me to bring in a photo so they can give me a solid quote. Honestly, that feels like a lot, especially since we're doing a massive real cake too. We’re planning this huge heart shape with 8 smaller cakes surrounding it, so we'll need to set aside $667 just for the praline cake.
Thanks velvetraven12! I’m actually in the exact same boat. My boyfriend’s family is from the West Coast, so they’re dying for that crunchy praline cake, but they also want the authentic version. How much does a cake like that usually run out there? I have some relatives visiting from California soon, so I might just see if one of them can grab one for me while they're in town.
Hey guys, does anyone know where I can order a croquant cake here in New York City? Looking for something that won't break the bank. In San Francisco, they go up to $167, but I need enough to cover about 5 to 7 tiers. Please help a girl out!
