You’re right about that... unfortunately, you have to deal with those domestic issues first. You mentioned your mother is driving you crazy... she’s older, and you’ve got your own career now. What does she even have to say to you? You’re old enough to shut that nonsense down. There has to be a limit. I love my parents, but even then, I tell them to back off once they cross the line... the time for parenting is long gone. Just let me be my own man.
Actually, hold on... maybe I jumped the gun there. Before you tell her where to go, you should probably try having a civil conversation first. 😁😁
Is there any realistic chance you could move out of your parents' place?
My grandmother and the old lady make elderberry juice by the gallon—one batch is a mix of black and red berries. It’s nonsense. It tastes off to me. Plus, when the old lady starts daydreaming and mixes a bit of cherry syrup in there, it's even worse.
Coca-Cola is disgusting. I don't know, that blend just doesn't sit right with me.
And this flower-based syrup? She’s never actually made it before.🤔 Maybe it’s because I grew up in some middle-of-nowhere backwater where nobody knew anything about these kinds of blossoms...😁

She just sits there—completely checked out and withdrawn. She’s leaning on pills, but I know that isn't the answer; she needs to find something to live for instead of just dwelling on what happened.
If she’s popping those pills without a prescription, she could seriously wreck her brain chemistry—we're talking potential psychosis and a stint in a psych ward... it's a dangerous game.
Cogentin... yeah, pretty much the same garbage. Never again with the beer.😁
Anyway, my uncle deals with schizophrenia and takes Cogentin—and my grandmother, who isn't exactly mentally sound either, used to take Paxil until she became totally dependent on it. I suspect she was just using it to manage her blood pressure. It calms you down, and she felt better.
Did you actually manage to drift off and then wake up around three, or were you just staring at the ceiling the whole time?
I had a similar experience with Elon Musk—well, not him specifically, but with stuff like that—I took one the other night (don't ask 🙂) and I fell asleep only to wake up the next morning feeling more wired than I ever have in my life. It wasn't even funny; I was pacing my living room, shaking, chain-smoking through the morning...
Basically, they mess with your brain chemistry and create this subtle dependency—you end up needing them just to feel level. At least, that’s how it was explained to me...
Just finished watching the movie. Listening to Azra makes me think about my old man—what his youth was actually like. That whole era—hunting down vinyl, those vintage denim jackets, the grit of working-class life, even the gloom under Reagan... power outages and all that nonsense. 😁
It wasn't all bad for them, though.
Sometimes, after he’s had a few too many or crawls home late from the pub, he’ll just sit by the TV and lecture me on how things used to be. How they’d track down records from London, wear bell-bottoms, and catch live bands playing right in their faces. That’s where I got my obsession with that "New Wave" sound. Movies, HAUSTOR, The Idols, Azra... seeing this, I finally get it.
The movie itself was fine. I actually appreciated the laid-back vibe and the soundtrack selection.
😂 Honestly, she used to have this massive blemish covering half her face—she'd walk around with that "hide me" hairstyle, bangs swept all the way down to her chin. Then she went under the knife for some plastic surgery, and suddenly she was so gorgeous it actually felt unsettling.

God... Marisol... I still remember sitting there reading subtitles to my grandmother... If she knew even five words of Spanish—or what Hozier looked like—it wouldn't have mattered much, since her hearing wasn't exactly what it used to be. Marisol, you legend!!! <tears streaming down my face>... *sniffle*, *sniffle*... 😢
I was laughing until I cried—this movie is genuinely unhinged. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite this brilliantly stupid in my life.😂
It actually reminded me of some flick that aired late on a local network here last summer—some guy, maybe Japanese or Chinese or Korean, who I couldn't tell apart 😁 just wanted enough cash to fly somewhere, but then realized he needed money for the ticket, so he ends up robbing a bank... blah blah blah. It was absurdly nonsensical and incredibly funny 👍 Has anyone else seen this or does anyone know the title?

Yeah, I know 😁 But I didn't catch it in a theater. I watched it at home on my PC with some friends, some beers, and sandwiches 😁
The damn recording had "property of Miramax" watermarked at the top the whole time and the audio quality was pretty subpar... but whatever, you can't exactly grab a beer in a cinema anyway. 😁

The movie is phenomenal. I won't drone on by repeating his words—they pretty much cover it—but I’ll just add that I haven't seen this kind of blend of avant-garde, trash, and classic filmmaking in a long time (actually, NEVER). Between the fantastic sequences, the comedic timing, and those revolutionary cinematic moments, this is exactly why I haven't completely given up on the American film school system and the Hollywood industrial complex—even if they have cast a shadow over all the cult classics from the past.
As alternative and revolutionary as this film is, it remains accessible to everyone. It hits everything: criticism, praise, irony, self-deprecation, sarcasm, humor, grotesque, avant-garde, pathos... you name it. It’s quite simply a fusion of styles—something only Tarantino could pull off. The soundtrack is great, often contradicting the actual scenes, which adds extra layers and creates those "mixed up emotions" regarding the film itself. You just get lost in it—you lose all sense of space, time, or even the direct message. The plot points and the moral don't matter; it's all about the feeling.
Brilliant.👍
I'm signing on this.👍 (Except for that part about Grace Scott 😕 😁)
this movie is absolute perfection I'm dying to see the sequel
so much blood... absolutely brilliant the soundtrack 👍 those katanas 👍
if I can just wrap my head around the plot and figure out who's actually who... yeah.
the best part was those Japanese guys at the meeting—all that yelling and arguing in Japanese🙏: and that other spray of blood from the neck—you know, when she sprints across the table and decapitates that guy? I was cracking up😁😁 🙏

Look, here’s a scenario: you head down to a local dive bar, knock back six pints, get into a shouting match with some jerk, start your own Fight Club, develop a split personality where you think you're sleeping while the other guy takes over, manufacture sleeping pills at the Club, and eventually aim to put the entire planet to sleep... If the cops don't catch you first, you'll be doing just fine.😁
