No worries at all!

Just a heads-up: from here on out, I’m going to be super strict about reporting any off-topic chatter, spam, or those annoying personal attacks. Honestly, it’s going to make our discussions way more interesting. It'll be a blast, I promise! 😁😁

Awesome! That’s exactly what I was looking to hear.🙂
So, in that case, I’m asking if my deleted posts regarding the Yonagun topic could please be restored. And look, if we aren't going to delete certain posts, then let's just leave the others alone too. I'm totally fine with whatever happens—just keeping things fair and open. 👍

Kimberly White63 said:I’ll just address the quote here: that specific sub-forum is called "Science Magazine," and it lives within the Alternative section. Just because the word "science" is in the title doesn't mean the rules or social etiquette there are any different from the rest of this forum. If someone wants to debate using the strict standards of the "Natural Science" section, they should go over there.

I'm right there with you! That's exactly why the Natural Science section uses different terminology and a completely different approach. But let's be real—you don't go to Natural Science to find people calling granite "the hardest rock ever," and you don't go to the History section to find folks claiming 15th-century buildings are actually 10,000 years old. Over there, we dive into the specifics; we don't spend our time debating the absolute basics. On the Alternative side, though, you run into people who act like they skipped middle school entirely. They want to have deep discussions about geology without knowing basic rock types, or try to interpret the mathematical proportions of the Great Pyramid of Giza without even knowing the Pythagorean theorem, or hunt for astronomical alignments while being totally clueless about the stars in Orion. Look, it's perfectly fine if someone doesn't know something. It's just plain silly when they try to mask their ignorance by hiding behind "alternative theories." That isn't being alternative; it's just being wrong. Come on, Ryan Gomez4, you've been around long enough—remember that whole saga about living water? You had to shut down so many threads because they were honestly just nonsense. According to Robert Rodriguez9, all those topics should have stayed open because everyone has the right to write and think whatever they want. Sure, they can think what they want, but it should stay within the scope of the topic and common sense! Would you seriously sit there and let a thread run where someone claims people don't live in the Southern Hemisphere because they'd just fall off the bottom of the Earth? Of course you wouldn't! We live in the 21st century, for crying out loud. But by the logic being used now, that thread could totally stay in the Alternative section because "everyone has the right to believe and write what they want." To me, that's just ridiculous. It destroys what makes the Alternative section special—which is offering a different perspective on science. It should still be a perspective rooted in facts, not stories about rocks jumping out of holes, screaming water in pipes, or ice crystals having seven sides because someone played the Seventh Symphony for them.
And the moment you point that out, people start acting like it's a personal attack. Then comes the drama, the reports, the whining, and now, finally, the deleting of posts. And this is coming from the very people who are supposed to maintain a certain standard here—making sure threads stay on topic and posts remain relevant.
If this keeps up, it feels like all of us trying to bring a more scientific lens to the things these "alternative theorists" claim are miracles—even though most of it isn't unexplained at all—are actually unwelcome. It's almost like the moderators are suggesting that if we don't like how things are going, we should just go post on other forums.
Well, if that's the case, then let's just be honest about it... let's be open about where we actually stand.

So, does this mean I can actually start dumping all my wild theories about Batman, Flash Gordon, or the Star Trek Borg here? Look, you and I both know that if I take the "regardless of whether there's any actual evidence" route, I’m basically going to be trolling this thread on purpose. I'll drive the whole discussion into total absurdity and pure nonsense—and honestly, once the other guys jump in, it’ll turn into such a ridiculous mess that it’ll easily become the dumbest topic and the most brainless PDF on the entire forum. So, I have to ask... is that actually the goal?

Look, I’m all for everyone having the right to believe whatever they want—really, I am! But there’s a massive difference between personal faith and just straight-up spreading nonsense as if it's fact. Honestly, I think we need to have a serious conversation about this specific situation because, frankly, enough is enough. We've got to put a stop to this kind of thing before it goes any further!
The topic is in the PDF! Science Magazine So, I was just diving into this scientific PDF, and honestly? It’s a wild ride! It basically walks you through all these different events and phenomena that—believe it or not—just can't be fully explained by standard scientific facts alone. It’s one of those deep dives that really makes you scratch your head and rethink what we actually know!
Hey, if you're going to rename that other PDF you mentioned, just go ahead and call it whatever you want—I won't bother bringing it up again! Honestly, people can write whatever they feel like. But look, once you put "Science" in the title, everyone knows exactly what that's supposed to mean. It’s not about wild imagination or random "theories," regardless of whether there's actually any evidence to back them up or not. Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on this one!

So, here’s the deal...
So, here’s the deal: someone walks in and confidently claims something is 10,000 years old—just because they felt like blathering it out, no evidence whatsoever—only for it to turn out that it was actually built back in the 15th century. After they've been repeatedly corrected with actual facts and solid proof, you’d think there would be some sort of polite reaction, right? Hmmm. I’m sorry, but at this point, I can only assume this guy is either intentionally trolling us or there’s something else going on. Now, look, psychiatry definitely isn't my field, so I’m not about to start throwing around diagnoses—especially since we all know that’s strictly against the rules on this forum anyway! I have no way of knowing if the person in question is just struggling, under the influence, or perhaps a total fanatic. All I can really conclude is that he's probably just a troll.
That’s exactly why I reacted the way I did!

So, imagine this scenario: you’re sitting there, pouring your heart into a post about St. Peter's Square in Rome, maybe sharing some cool history or a personal memory. Then, out of nowhere, someone starts blowing up your notifications. They aren't just disagreeing with you, either—they’re flat-out insisting that the whole thing is actually the Taj Mahal and that it’s somehow 15,000 years old! And to top it all off, they start throwing insults your way like they own the place. What are you going to do? Honestly, I mean, come on! You can't just sit there and take it. Of course you're going to react! You can't let someone just wander into your digital space, spread total nonsense, and then get personal. It's human nature to stand your ground!

And this is where the decency just completely evaporates. You can't even get a reaction to his posts—his post is still sitting there right alongside those absolute idiots and their so-called "facts"—yet everyone else's content gets wiped immediately!

So, I’d really love to hear what the other mods think about this situation. Honestly, sorry to say it, but I think you might have slipped up here—and I mean this with nothing but respect! It feels like you took a side on this one, and now we’ve got total chaos breaking out in the PDF threads. If that was actually the plan... well, then mission accomplished, I guess! 🍿

I am so incredibly ready for this! I mean it—I really, truly want this to happen! Log in I’ve gotta vent for a second about that one moderator who keeps deleting posts over on the Science Magazine PDF threads. Seriously, it happens constantly! It’s getting to the point where it’s actually killing the vibe of the discussions. When you start scrubbing people's contributions like that, you're directly messing with the flow of the debate and making it impossible for anyone to really build an argument or stay engaged. It’s such a bummer because it totally changes the dynamic of the whole conversation!

Look, if anyone wants to jump into the fray and weigh in on a topic with some actual arguments, please, go for it! We want you here as active members of the community. But let’s get one thing straight: deleting posts just because they aren't "alternative" enough—or because they point out that someone is being ignorant, unread, overly religious, or just plain trolling with fake facts—is totally wrong. Honestly, wiping out posts like that isn't just breaking the rules of basic decency; it's a blatant attempt to manipulate the conversation and a massive abuse of power. Let's keep things fair, shall we?

Look, let’s get one thing straight: this PDF is actual "Science Magazine," not just some collection of wild fantasies and ramblings from self-proclaimed alternative theorists!

Konkretno: korisnik LUN piše post:
I honestly can't believe I'm even bringing this up again, but I just had to share! I was sitting there thinking about everything we discussed earlier, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. You know how sometimes you feel like you're just spinning your wheels, trying to make sense of things that seem totally disconnected? Well, I think we might be looking at this all wrong. I was reading through some old notes—and yes, my handwriting is a total disaster, please don't judge me—and I realized that if we apply a bit more of that Noetic perspective we were talking about, the whole picture starts to shift. It’s almost like when you're staring at a complex math problem and suddenly, out of nowhere, the solution just clicks. It’s not about forcing the pieces together; it’s about letting them find their own rhythm. I know, I know, I sound like a bit of a dreamer here. I'm probably just overthinking it and making myself sound way more profound than I actually am! But seriously, there’s something about the way these patterns emerge that feels too consistent to ignore. It's like watching a master conductor lead an orchestra toward the Seventh Symphony—everything starts to align perfectly if you just listen closely enough. What do you guys think? Am I just rambling on my own little cloud, or is there actually something to this? I'd love to hear your thoughts, even if they involve telling me to go grab a coffee and get real!

Honestly, this guy is such a trip! If he isn't straight-up lifting content—which, let’s be real, he does constantly without even bothering to drop a source or use quotation marks—he’s busy spinning this web of absolute nonsense. He comes out with these conclusions that are just... well, they're silly, inaccurate, and frankly hilarious if you don't take him seriously. The wildest part? We've already dismantled his arguments multiple times in the previous thread using actual links to peer-reviewed studies from Science Magazine. It's like talking to a brick wall, but a very loud, very confused brick wall!

Here’s my take on that post:

I made sure to save this one, knowing full well it was probably going to get deleted!

You know, I was just looking into this, and it's honestly mind-blowing! The Yonagun structures are estimated to be around 10,000 years old, which actually lines up perfectly with the timeline for when the Great Pyramid of Giza was built. Isn't that wild? It’s one of those crazy historical coincidences that really makes you stop and think!

Brenda Gonzalez12 says:
So, I was thinking about this earlier today—what exactly constitutes an "artifact"? It’s one of those terms we throw around all the time in history classes or when we're browsing through museums, but if you really sit down and peel back the layers, it gets pretty interesting! In the simplest sense, an artifact is basically anything made, modified, or used by humans. We aren't just talking about some dusty old pottery shard sitting in a glass case at the Smithsonian (though those are cool too!). An artifact can be anything from a prehistoric stone tool to a modern smartphone, or even something as simple as a hand-carved wooden spoon from your grandmother's kitchen. What makes it an "artifact" rather than just a random object found in nature is that unmistakable thumbprint of human intention. If you find a perfectly smooth river stone, that's just geology. But if you find a stone that someone shaped into a sharp edge to scrape animal hides? Boom. You've got an artifact. You've got proof that someone, somewhere, had a goal and the ingenuity to achieve it. It’s honestly kind of mind-blowing when you think about it. Every single thing we touch—the tools we use to build skyscrapers in Chicago or the gadgets we use to scroll through social media—is part of a massive, continuous chain of human creation. We are constantly leaving these little physical breadcrumbs behind, telling the story of who we were, how we lived, and what we valued. I always find it a little humbling. We spend so much time worrying about our daily grind, but we're actually just the latest chapter in a very long book of makers and builders. It's all just one big, ongoing project!
Honestly, that’s just plain wrong. It doesn't make any sense, there isn't a shred of evidence to back it up, and frankly, it feels like you're just making things up as you go! It’s about as logical as claiming a pile of trash could be shaped into a Star Trek Borg and then somehow transformed into the Moon.

You know, I’ve been diving deep into this lately, and honestly, it’s fascinating! There are quite a few archaeologists out there—the really sharp ones, anyway—who just won't bite on the idea that this structure is some kind of random natural formation. Even when you throw hard evidence in front of them, like what the geologists are seeing, they still hesitate to call it "just nature." The real kicker? It's the chemical makeup of the stones themselves. They contain specific mineral compositions that simply don't exist naturally in this part of the country. It’s almost like finding a piece of high-tech silicon in the middle of a desert canyon; it just doesn't add up! It makes you wonder what else is hiding in plain sight, right?

Brenda Gonzalez12 says:
Look, let’s be real here: there are legitimate archaeologists and then there are total frauds, but you can't really split them into "smart" versus "dumb." It’s about the work! Besides, if we're talking facts, geologists have already completely debunked everything you're claiming. So, honestly? You're just talking nonsense again.

So, what kind of CHEMICAL composition are we actually talking about here? If you’re bringing up rocks, you’re almost certainly referring to their MINERALOGICAL makeup. Honestly, instead of wasting all that mental energy on those weird Yonagun theories, why not just focus and give me a straight answer regarding the composition of granite, diorite, and syenite? You've been dodging my questions about the pyramids and how hard those specific rocks actually are, and frankly, that ties right back into this whole discussion!

It really brings to mind that whole mystery surrounding the discovery of those massive megalithic blocks over by the Aswan dam, which sits about 580 miles away from the Giza plateau.

Brenda Gonzalez12 says:
Whoa, looks like we’ve got ourselves a brand new breakthrough on our hands! 584 miles Do the Aswan Dam. Not a single inch more, not a single inch less. And honestly, what kind of logic are you even using here? Look, I get it—you’ve got this massive collection of links and an endless series of explanations detailing exactly how those stone blocks drifted down the Nile. It's all very impressive on paper, truly. But for some reason, none of that seems to be clicking in your brain! I can't help but wonder...

Look, I really don't think we should toss out all the possibilities just because exploring the underwater site itself is proving to be such a headache. There are still so many fascinating angles to consider! My only real concern—and I hope I'm not being too cynical here—is that they don't go shoving some poor soul who went missing into this whole construction project just to close the case. Let's keep our heads on straight, okay?

Brenda Gonzalez12 says:
I’m positive they’re out there somewhere! According to the latest reports, a bunch of fishing boats have already ended up stranded due to those crazy ocean currents and sudden weather shifts we've been seeing lately. But hey, that’s probably beside the point for this discussion!

This incredible underwater structure really makes you want to start comparing the Yonagun site to other massive megalithic monuments around the world that seem to date back to roughly the same era. Here’s just one example to get us started:

Check out this shot on the left—it’s an incredible view of an underwater structure! Yonagun, So, if you take a look over on the right side, we’ve got this picture! I honestly can’t get enough of exploring these ancient sites! There is just something about standing in front of massive, perfectly fitted stone structures that makes you feel so small in the best way possible. It really puts everything into perspective, doesn't it? I was just thinking about how incredible the engineering must have been back then—it’s almost mind-blowing when you consider they didn't have any of our modern tools. It definitely makes me want to dive deeper into some Natural Science readings to wrap my head around how they actually pulled it off! Imagine stumbling upon this massive stone complex sitting right on the northern edge of a city like Denver, where you’d expect to find nothing but modern suburbs, but instead, you hit this incredible relic from an ancient empire. It’s absolutely mind-blowing to think about how they built something that sturdy!

Brenda Gonzalez12 says:
If we were looking at the structure's actual shape, maybe we could draw some comparisons. But there's one huge issue with the LUN theory. Just how big is the "jump" between those "steps" at the Yonagun site? Seriously, try answering that...

And besides that—since I'm clearly just trying to see how much nonsense you can cram into a single post before it loses all meaning:

Quote:
LUN says: Check this post
The Yonagun monument is about 10,000 years old which makes it roughly the same age as the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Brenda Gonzalez12 says:
<--- regarding that pyramid comparison.
Then you go and totally trip over your own feet in the very same post (YES LUN, you were the one who used "roughly the same age" as your example!):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacsayhuam%C3%A1n
"Sacsayhuamán was originally built for military purposes to defend against tribes threatening the Inca Empire. Construction began under Pachacutec after 1438. The first person to describe the fortress was the Spanish chronicler Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, who writes that it took about 50 years to build during the reign of Huayna Capaca. By the time the Spanish conquistadors arrived, the structure was already fully completed. From the fortress itself, you get a panoramic view of all of Cusco and the surrounding area."

Are you just out here stealing people's text and copying it, or did you completely lose your mind when you realized the first part of your post contradicts what you just wrote?

Sorry LUN, you basically made a joke out of yourself. You don't even need anyone else to insult you or point out your ignorance. You're doing it all on your own.

It's irrelevant, you're feeding us fake data, total gibberish, and copied nonsense. Hey mods, go ahead and delete this post again!"

Honestly, the level of absurdity being voiced here is incredible. In one single post, this user manages to contradict their own timeline, citing conclusions that have absolutely zero connection to reality. AND FOR SOME REASON THIS POST GETS DELETED (unlike that first one). Of course, I added that little comment at the end on purpose. I already warned someone in the "Alternative History" section about this habit of deleting "non-controversial posts" that "AREN'T ALTERNATIVE."

After that, the guy replies with this post:
http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=6...&postcount=156

In which he offers "arguments" that have been brought up about ten times across seven pages of this thread as the ONLY evidence for his claim. Look, if someone participates in a seven-page discussion from day one, and based on everything read, there is only ONE "argument" in favor of their theory—and that argument has already been debunked and explained—but they still post that same "argument" again, what else would you call it besides trolling? That was the direct question I asked him in my post:

http://www.forum.com/showpost.php?p=6...&postcount=159

Do I even need to tell you HOW THIS POST WAS DELETED TOO?
😠

But here it is, let the admins take a look:
Quote:
LUN says: Check this post
Someone asked which geologist was conducting the research?

It was conducted by Professor Masaaki Kimura, a marine geologist from the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa, who spent several years studying the Yonagun structures.

Brenda Gonzalez12 says:
Then how do you explain the fact that Robert Schoch—who is himself a proponent of alternative theories (he's the one everyone talks about regarding the Sphinx) and who was practically treated like a hero because of his research—basically tore Kimura apart and said it has nothing to do with anything and is just a natural formation?

And how do you explain that despite your "10,000 years" claim, even Kimura himself mentions it being 6,000 years old, or even 4,000 years old? Honestly, you've proven today that you really don't have a clue when it comes to basic math, so...

How do you account for the fact that this formation is located in rock types that form similar erosion patterns all over the world (which has already been pointed out to you several times)?

And here we go again... LUN, why on earth are you trolling this thread yet again?!

Honestly, just head back to the first couple of pages. Everything you're asking about—the questions, the answers, even the links—is already there. There are even videos that completely debunk those vague claims you keep making.

And since we're talking about being polite... did you actually bother to read my previous post? Did YOU really write what's in there and claim it was "your own handiwork"?? Comparing the 15th century to 10,000 B.C.E. and suggesting they belong to the same era? Talking about buildings versus "structures"??
LUN, you wrote that! You exposed yourself then, and you're exposing yourself again right now. Instead of actually answering the question, you just start trolling the thread and pivoting to these hazy ideas and questions that have already been settled. This thread isn't 1,000 pages long; it's only seven! So, do us all a favor, scroll back to page one, and maybe learn a thing or two, LUN.

Go ahead, feel free to report me for ad hominem attacks or trolling... that seems to be your go-to move whenever you get caught in a lie or a massive blunder.

Does anyone seriously expect people to spend more than five seconds on a single post anymore? Like, searching for sources? Hunting down actual articles? Honestly, anyone could just drop a link to a Smurf cartoon or Star Trek and try to lecture us about pyramids. They can ruin the thread, the whole forum, and annoy the mods. People are out here trying to prove it's not "the truth" that the Star Trek Borg are roaming Earth...

If any of the moderators feel like this thread should be run based on how someone wants to be "alternative," while the rest of us holding different scientific views aren't welcome, then please, say it out loud right now. Then we can just rename the PDFs and the entire thread to reflect that bias.

Or maybe I should start reporting every single post that has already been answered within this thread as trolling? Should I report every little word that "offends" me as an ad hominem attack, or every link that doesn't perfectly fit the topic as "spam"?? If that makes everyone feel better... sure, we can play that game. But let's be real, it would totally destroy any meaningful discussion here.

PS. Just so we're clear, I'm saving a copy of this post... just in case it disappears in the meantime.
How to delete posts on Alternative? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Can I please request that we clear out ALL those spammy posts where someone just drops a single sentence like:
"A groundbreaking new discovery:" followed by a link. Just over and over from thread to thread... without any actual desire to have a conversation... specifically in threads like "Archaeology," "Global warming..." and things like that 😵

And also those posts that constantly loop through the same old mantras (it wasn't possible, they didn't know, they didn't have the chance, the timeframe isn't right, it's not true, they're hiding the truth) all WITHOUT providing a single shred of documentation—actual facts (things you can verify, read, and debate) that demand aggressive answers despite having zero connection to data or science (even if their PDF is supposedly on the "edge of science").

If we’re going to spend every two months spinning in circles on the Pyramid thread with the same exact loop of Giza->Saqqara->Baalbek->Aztec->Inca->Turkey->Giza
then honestly, either the thread needs to be closed or something is seriously broken here. ☕

Also, please, if posts are being deleted for "rude communication, harassment, insults, and such," then let's actually stay vigilant about that "rude communication." I mean, terms like "self-proclaimed experts," "dogmatists," "guardians of the truth," and "self-taught scientists" really need to be sanctioned immediately.

On another note, I want to complain about my response being removed. I had given a very thorough answer to a certain "statement" regarding the "hardest materials" (granite, basalt, and diorite) in the thread "Who built the Pyramids in Giza, FACTS." That specific post was the reply to a previous comment, which was deleted just so an almost identical post could pop up again today.

So, I responded to it again because it’s inaccurate, vague, untrue (look, this is my field of expertise, so I know a bit more than the guy writing this nonsense, which looks totally intentional), and frankly, trolling since he's demanding an answer. I mean, anyone can write whatever they want under the guise of "alternative" theories—like, "The sky is red because of marijuana smoke, so the Egyptians used hovering ships and lasers, and they were too high to notice they were just piling stones into a pyramid, which was actually a ritual for Egyptian shamans"—and then demand I back up that absurdity with documents. I'm exaggerating, but that's basically how it sounds!

In cases where politeness is being requested, I absolutely support the moderator's stance. I'm just worried she’ll run out of work and posts pretty soon. Because compared to a year ago, the history of how certain users interact and write to one another has gone from chaotic to practically kindergarten level. But hey, if this helps improve the site, I'm all for it.

Have you ever heard of that American alternative group, HUPED?

Check out the HUPED website.

Have you ever actually sat down and talked to people who found real relief through an Alternative method?

Have you actually taken the time to read all those thank-you letters from people who found a way out thanks to some alternative approach?
If you want to meet people like that, just head over to the community center in downtown Chicago—the main hall on the ground floor—this Tuesday starting at 6 PM.

Why haven't we integrated Hippocratic principles, therapeutic nutrition, and herbal medicine into the mainstream Western medical establishment to work in tandem? It seems like a missed opportunity to have raw food and natural healing methods actually walking hand-in-hand with modern clinical practice instead of operating in such isolated silos.

When a 70-year-old is dealing with constipation, you have to wonder if jumping straight to a prescription drug is actually the smartest move, or if we're just rushing to medicate something that might be solved much more simply.
Is there just a straightforward, natural science way to fix this? Most digestive issues act like a domino effect, triggering a whole mess of other health problems if you don't tackle them at the root. Nowadays, it feels like everyone just tries to mask the symptoms by popping painkillers instead of actually fixing the source.
Do you honestly believe that's a healthy way for a body to function?

Who would actually walk away from those massive profits? Big Pharma wouldn't.
Would people actually be healthier? Yeah, most folks probably would.☕

Have you ever tried sipping on some chamomile tea when your stomach was acting up? Seriously, I mean really bothering you. And if you have, why on earth wouldn't you just reach for an ibuprofen instead? Is using something like that considered an Alternative way of treating things through natural science? You bet it is!
Is this an alternative? Is it just some kind of charlatanism? No way! Not even close!

Is forcing elderly folks to soak their feet in a basin until the water turns murky—just so companies can swoop in and sell them overpriced water filters—pure charlatanism and a total scam? Is it some kind of "Alternative" solution? Absolutely not!

Is measuring "radiation" levels in groundwater from the 11th floor of the Mammoth building a total scam? You bet it is! Is it some kind of "alternative" movement? Not really. But here’s the kicker: the people out there doing this stuff actually call themselves alternative thinkers, and they are more than ready to tear your eyes out if you dare suggest they're just charlatans.

So, what exactly is the foundation of modern pharmacology? Or even modern medicine as we know it today? It’s basically just trying to force a lifestyle that fits whatever current state of affairs we've been handed. I mean, think about it—is forcing people to go skinny dipping in a freezing lake in the middle of January really considered an "Alternative"? Sure, you'll see piles of people standing in front of news cameras swearing up and down that it totally worked for them and changed their lives. But honestly, once you actually sit down to do some real, rigorous research, the whole thing usually turns out to be absolute nonsense!
Don't go thinking I'm just rambling here, I promise! I’m actually talking about the whole situation involving that so-called "doctor," Pavlovich Chiropractic.

Remember all those total charlatans—people like Plečko, Hasanpašić, and even Mavrović—who were out there peddling those "miracle" supplements? They always had these long lists of people they claimed to have "helped," too. But you know what happened once people actually started digging into the facts and looking at the real science behind what they were selling? Suddenly, everything went dead quiet. Total silence. I’ll even throw Mavrović into that mix, because he definitely jumped on the bandwagon to make a quick buck, but it looks like he realized where the line was drawn just in time!

Look, I’ll say it again: if we're talking about an Alternative approach, then provided there is actual testing and solid evidence to prove it works, my answer is an absolute YES! But as for those charlatans out there playing games? They belong straight in jail. Period.

Why such a huge reaction??? 🤔 You weren't even personally called out, and you didn't say anything wrong in the post you shared. If anything, you actually showed an alternative way of eating that worked wonders for you!
Now, if you had written, "this kind of diet cures (for example) HIV," and then added, "I have five testimonials proving it works, and if you follow this diet, you'll be cured. By the way, you can buy my cookbook via DM"—well, *that* would be practicing medicine without a license and a whole lot of other trouble.
But honestly, that's exactly what some people here do all the time—offering things with zero proof, zero results, and nothing but third-hand anecdotes. That's what this was about. It's an Alternative lifestyle, sure, but it's not charlatanism. And I stand by that!

What if we flipped the script and handed a list over to the District Attorney? We could just list everyone here who keeps dropping "advice," "ideas," and "personal experiences" regarding topics that, when you step back and look at them all together, basically amount to the crime of practicing medicine without a license.
Don't believe me? It's a crime! How about "endangering health, life, and property"? That’s a felony too. And no, it isn't impossible to prove. Some people in this thread are out here throwing around total nonsense without a single shred of evidence—and honestly, even the lurkers who don't post are reading this stuff. But they ARE reading it.
So, when someone actually goes and applies what they "read" (whether out of desperation, curiosity, or whatever else) to themselves or others, and things go south health-wise, what then? When there's a digital paper trail showing some "alternative genius" gave that advice right here on this forum, are you really going to try hiding behind a username and claiming you're just using "alternative thinking"? Trust me, there isn't a judge in the country who's going to bail you out of that one.

Maybe after a few formal complaints, we can finally start strictly enforcing the general rules of this forum.

Look, folks, you're adults. You own your words and you stand by what you post. Let's dial down the wild spirits a bit, and specifically, let's stop falling for the junk on those "alternative websites" that claim you can eat literal garbage just because it has "fiber" or because it's "genetically close to the owner." 😵

And what would you say to the BAT kolo crowd? You'd probably just say that they were actually protecting you from the "New World Order," the "police state," and the "institutions" where half of these posters probably should have been sent a long time ago if what they write were true. If you're unhappy because you can't just live in total anarchy and spout nonsense (like "water screaming in agony inside radiator pipes," for example), well, that's on you.
Democracy isn't anarchy. In a democracy, you take responsibility for what you put out into the world. Look, alternative ideas and viewpoints are fine, but they need to be backed by actual evidence. Saying "I believe," "I think," "rumor has it," or "some experts say" or "on certain websites" aren't objective ways to prove anything. It's just spamming the same incorrect views or bad interpretations over and over. If there's proof for something, post it, and we're good. It's argument against argument.
If we do that, there won't be any more issues with people attacking the moderators.

Larry Sanchez30 said:You’re pulling that same old stunt again, throwing out diagnoses to insult people!

Just take a look at what you actually wrote in the reported post.

If you think a post doesn't fit the topic, or if you just don't like someone, go ahead and report it—let the moderators decide if there should be any penalties.

But seriously, LUN, why get so defensive when someone points out how inappropriate you're being?
You went after Jerry White29 because he was simply sharing his perspective (his OWN view, mind you!) on how you seem to report almost every single post and slap other people's words under your own name. Honestly, it's becoming a joke how much work the moderators have to do just because of all these reports. And for what? Nobody would care if you were actually expressing YOUR OWN thoughts. Even if your opinion is totally wrong, ridiculous, or just plain silly, I actually find it interesting! But the opinion of some absolute moron from Microsoft at Harvard University in Sudan? I couldn't care less. To me, that's completely irrelevant and has zero place in this discussion. Once Microsoft actually logs into the forum, then maybe I'll care about what they have to say. But you present this idiot's views as if they were yours, and then you act surprised when someone calls you out on it. You don't even need to hunt down the specific text you're passing off as your own; just ask two or three questions about what you supposedly "wrote," and you'll get absolutely NO answer. It's because you have no idea what you're copying and pasting! You don't even bother reading the text you grab, because more than once, the very text you claim as your own actually contradicts the point you're trying to make! So when people start laughing and showing you how you're contradicting yourself within three sentences because of your sloppy copying, you start throwing a tantrum. And then you wonder why everyone treats you like a grumpy old man.
What's the point of all that? I really don't see the reason...

You claim you know what everyone else's "intentions" are (especially directed at me, apparently!), but honestly, it seems like that’s just your own projection. You pose a question and then immediately jump to the answer, and every single comment you get is met with an insult. Plus, you can't seem to string together more than two short sentences of your own! Instead, you just grab someone else's text, quotes, or statements and pass them off as your own—no quotation marks, no sources, nothing. It’s not even participating in a conversation; it feels like the sole goal is trolling every thread with useless, nonsensical nonsense until the whole discussion turns into a complete joke. You talk about Tolkien describing actual historical events (like giants, dwarves, or Ents), people living 45,000 years ago, rocks flying out of the ground, forests on Mars, or atomic reactors in India 25,000 years ago, all while dodging the dozen questions other users have asked about these claims. If you actually wanted to explain what you meant or show some proof, you would, but you won't. To me, that's just a way to trigger pointless arguments, troll, derail topics, and pick fights.

Here is a perfect example from just a couple of days ago. You posted this as if it were YOUR own opinion:

When someone points out that you basically "stole" someone else's writing without any credit or quotes,

you just dive straight into the same old argument... and here we go again.

Look, if you want to complain to anyone, maybe start by looking in the mirror at how you write here. You've been caught lying, falsifying info, and intentionally stirring up drama several times—it’s all right there on the table. You took a three-day break, came back, and immediately started with more nonsense.
And now you're back here whining. Besides, the stuff you're complaining about comes from a PDF titled "fringe science." Talking about Tolkien, elves, witches, giants, orcs, and flying rocks is nowhere near the realm of science. Not even alternative science.
Moderation on NRZ is actually much more relaxed than on most other forums because the topics themselves are so wild that you expect anything to pop up. Honestly, if we strictly enforced every rule, half the posts on this site would be deleted! But there is a massive difference between posting and debating—even heatedly—using logic and counter-arguments, and what you do: throwing out total gibberish as your own, only for it to turn out to be copied text from somewhere else. Using other people's thoughts, comments, and words isn't a debate; it's just a way to provoke more fighting.

There are people on NRZ who are so frustrating that you could insult them and it wouldn't even feel mean, but they don't get insulted—people just chat and joke with them, and nobody holds a grudge. You're the only one who gets worked up whenever Larry Sanchez30 tries to hold you accountable; you just start playing the victim. It was said to you once before: if you want to debate, even if you're wrong, then go for it—but actually debate. If you think pasting other people's work and calling it your own counts as a discussion, then go start a blog and talk to yourself. Blogs are for that.

I really don't see why you keep complaining... 🤦

Noah Diaz, look, since you’ve gone ahead and put everyone around you on ignore because you don't actually want to debate anyone, and instead you just drop links next to a couple of "explanations"—which, let's be honest, aren't explanations at all—the moderator was basically just politely letting you know that you're just trolling and posting links that have absolutely nothing to do with the topic, aside from the headlines. It's pretty obvious you don't even read the articles you're pasting! You showed a chart of historical temperature trends and tried to "draw conclusions," but you couldn't even wrap your head around the fact that it's a logarithmic scale. And the second someone calls you out for writing total nonsense, you immediately start acting all sensitive.

Seriously though... grow up.

Steven Davis63 said:Honestly, if I were you, I’d definitely head toward the natural sciences. Everything there is laid out so clearly and presented in such a sophisticated, polished way—it’s really great. That being said, there just isn't any real alternative to what we're looking at here, especially since we're already staring down the end of 2015. But hey, that's probably totally irrelevant to you anyway!

Just wanted to let everyone know, It’s pretty much common knowledge these days—and honestly, most people just take it for granted—that atoms are mostly empty space. It’s one of those mind-bending facts that stays with you! You know, I was reading about this earlier, and it’s honestly mind-blowing. Science actually suggests that the very stuff making up what we call "physical reality"—including this exact screen you're staring at right now—doesn't really exist in the way we think it does! It’s one of those things that sounds totally wild when you say it out loud, but the data is actually there. Just a little something to chew on while you're scrolling!

Hey there! Just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone! Hope you're all having a fantastic day so far. Hey everyone! When things get heated and we start diving into those controversial topics... 👍, Hey Brenda Gonzalez12, I have one tiny favor to ask—if it’s not too much trouble, would you mind deleting your signature? To be totally honest, it feels like a direct jab at us, and I'd really appreciate it if we could keep things a bit more friendly!, I honestly feel like I could have a field day with a bunch of his posts! There is just so much material to work with there.Look, I’m all for a good debate! If we want to go back and forth or even throw a little lighthearted jab at each other, that’s totally fine by me—I can handle a little banter. But honestly, making fun of me personally? That’s where I draw the line. Let's keep it respectful, okay? 😁Look, just my two cents here: if you're going to include a little jab in your signature, let's keep it classy. No permanent mocking allowed—that’s just my take on it!

Look, just to be crystal clear, nothing in my signature is meant to be a personal judgment, an opinion, or a final word on anyone specifically. As for what happened with Rocky, I’m simply pointing out something that guy actually said! He’s the one who started this entire thread—and honestly, he's been the one running the show in these discussions since they were first moved to the archives. He just went on a complete tear, insulting absolutely everyone in sight! So, I decided to just step away from that whole debate because, honestly, there’s just no point anymore! It all started when this one person tried to shut down an argument with a single word, using these totally flawed logical and mathematical conclusions. They were basically tossing out facts, asking themselves questions, and then immediately providing their own answers—it was a total loop! Once I pointed out a glaring mathematical error they made, things took a turn for the worse. Instead of owning up to it, they launched into this massive, unhinged barrage of insults all over the forum. And get this—if you look at their subsequent posts, they didn't just ignore the advice; they actually doubled down with a whole new series of... well, let's call them "jokes" meant to mock the topic. At this point, trying to have a rational conversation there is just a lost cause, so I'm officially bowing out!
Honestly, when it comes to Elizabeth Cruz, I’ve never seen such a massive wave of insults, condescension, sheer stupidity, and cynicism on this entire forum. It’s pretty much predictable at this point—anyone who dares to point out that she just copies and pastes other people's work, or mentions that she hasn't actually written even half a page of her own original thoughts, can expect the same toxic reaction every single time. It doesn't matter how you approach her, either. Whether you ask a question politely or not, she either refuses to answer or just drops a random link and calls it a day. And if you actually try to engage with her or call her out on it? That's when the real drama starts: she goes straight to clicking those little report buttons, spamming the moderation tools, and hurling insults. Seriously, if she just compiled a "best of" list of all the nonsense she's posted over the last six months, she’d have five full pages of material right there! I don't know what someone's educational background is, and honestly, it shouldn't even matter. If you truly know something about a subject, you should be able to have a real conversation about it—whether we're talking strictly hard science or something more experimental on the fringes. But this? This is just a mess. Science! It’s such an incredible field, isn't it? I honestly feel like we're living in the most exciting era to be curious about how the world actually works. Whether you're looking at the tiny, invisible building blocks of life or peering through massive telescopes at distant galaxies, there's just something so deeply moving about the pursuit of truth. I know I can get a little carried away—my friends always tell me I need to tone down the enthusiasm when I start rambling about physics or biology—but I just can't help it! There is a certain magic in the data, a way that everything eventually clicks into place once you find the right formula or observation. It’s not always easy, though; I definitely have those moments where I feel like I’m staring at a puzzle with half the pieces missing, feeling a bit silly for thinking I could solve it. But hey, that's all part of the fun, right? That "aha!" moment makes all the confusion totally worth it!I mean, calling this a "field of nonsense" is a bit much! If we’re going to be that pedantic, why don't we just start a whole new thread asking, "Is Little Red Riding Hood actually a real person?"
Look, just to be crystal clear, none of my signatures are meant to be personal attacks. They’re really just a little visual highlight reel of the absolute nonsense I run into on a daily basis around here! Honestly, if you want examples of people who are totally out of touch with actual science—or even just basic facts—you really can't do better than Rocky and Elizabeth Cruz. Their takes are classic examples of being completely disconnected from reality.

Actually, I’m going to ask my friend Maria Parker77 to dig up some of my old "gems" just so I can have a good laugh at myself! Honestly, I’ve written so many posts over the years that seeing a few of my old ridiculous takes would genuinely make my day.
