Casey Hernandez21 said:thanks Tim. They told me back in Russia that they were $22, but my mom insisted on trying something else. Honestly, I think I'll just stick with Beam; I really don't feel like driving all the way to a city like Chicago 😉
They actually made a custom youth version based on what I wanted. I sent over a photo and ended up loving it. There are even some shots of it tucked away in our wedding album somewhere...
Casey Hernandez21 said:I have a bit of a dilemma regarding dessert, and I’m having a hard time choosing. I can't quite decide between picking up treats from a small town in the Midwest or something from a small town in the South near Pittsburgh (specifically near a small mountain town). Some people swear by one, while others insist the other is much better 🤷 Since I'm not very familiar with either area, I'm feeling a little lost. Would you mind sharing your own experiences, thoughts, or perhaps some recommendations to help me settle this? Many thanks 🙂
I picked up some treats from Grandma's Creek... honestly, I’m obsessed. I've tried their stuff before, so I already knew exactly what I was getting into. Their pricing per pound is actually decent too... $18Down in Ruščica... $23 I don't even know where to start with this one... just a total mess. Honestly, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how things actually work out here. It’s all just a bit much sometimes... anyway, moving on.

I’ve been eyeing the Zelenkov venue, but honestly, the price tag feels a bit steep. Don't get me wrong, the space itself looks incredible and the service seems top-notch, but I can't help feeling like I might be overpaying. I’m trying to find something with a similar vibe but maybe a little more budget-friendly. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of a decent alternative, I’d really appreciate it!
I actually went there for a wedding once. Loved the place. Food was solid and the staff really knew their stuff too...

Looking for impressions, pricing, etc...
I've got a wedding in Karamarko this Saturday, so I'll let you know how it goes. As for those pillars, I was actually pretty nervous about them too, but honestly, they look great...
Thanks, ladies. My relatives turn 29 next week and honestly? I’m already starting to freak out... just thinking about what this week is going to be like. This forum really keeps me sane seeing that I'm not the only one going through it...
So, I could really use some advice from anyone who’s already tied the knot, or maybe even someone getting married this coming Saturday. I rented my wedding dress over in Des Moines, and the shop lady told me to come in for my final fitting just a week before the big day. Apparently, it needs quite a bit of tailoring to fit right. Is waiting until a week before the wedding cutting it a little too close? Or am I just spiraling for no reason...
Matthew Foster66 said:Thanks everyone—hopefully I’ll have some luck finding a rental soon!
I’m thinking about renting a tent for maybe 80 people—includes benches and chairs ($333)—out in Appalachia near St. Louis. They've got all sorts of sizes... if you want their number, just let me know.

One should visit everyone and see how they operate. Not everyone shares our taste.🙂

I'm up on May 29th. Fingers crossed for nothing but beautiful weather... you can just think of me while you're off on your honeymoon... 🙂
Christian Taylor8 said:No problem at all, we're all just here to help each other out. I haven't figured out how to get the hot water working yet, but using the checklist makes staying organized a lot easier, so you should give it a shot too. Good luck, hope everything goes smoothly. Man, I am such a nervous wreck right now—our wedding is in exactly one month and my husband has been low-key spiraling for days. Usually, he's the level-headed, logical one who has everything planned out, so seeing him like this is stressing me out.
That’s basically always been our dynamic. Nothing used to get under my skin, but he’d just worry and drive me crazy. Now the roles have flipped—I'm the stressed one and he's totally fine, which is somehow even more annoying... haha... So, what's your big day?
You guys are seriously the best!! It means so much having this place to vent to... my big day is May 29th and I am counting down the seconds! I’ve already started having wedding fever dreams... anyone else getting those? Lately, I keep dreaming that nobody shows up, or the bride and groom aren't even in the hall where they're supposed to be... just total chaos vibes. Huge thanks to Christian Taylor8!!!🙂
Thanks, ladies! You guys have been a lifesaver... honestly, I’m starting to wonder why they even feel entitled to stick their noses in my business!!! I’m counting down the days, and I’m already right on the edge of a total meltdown because I feel like there just isn't enough time left. We’ve checked everything off the list, but everyone keeps saying we need to meet up after Easter to finalize all the details. Flowers-Final Agreement Photographer—background tracks, painting for the DVD Music-In intro song Cookies-Final amount... It’s a total disaster! I feel like I could bite someone's head off or just burst into tears at any given second!
Hey everyone... my big day is getting closer... just over a month out now... we already sent out the invites, mostly because I just couldn't stop thinking about them. Between the actual sending and all the complaining we've dealt with, I'm a bit frazzled. We went with a pretty playful vibe for the wording and didn't mention our parents at all. The text makes it clear that *we* are the ones inviting you, not them (honestly, they haven't lifted a finger, and we're footing the entire bill and doing all the planning ourselves)... but now the relatives are starting to chirp because apparently, since our parents are the ones "giving us away," they have to be listed. It really stung... I'm wondering if you guys included your parents on your invites, or if we totally messed this up?

I honestly can't remember the exact name or where it's tucked away right now, though. 😢 Personally, whenever I'm heading out to a small town in Kansas to hit up the H&M, I swear that's my absolute go-to.
Gotta agree on the H&M thing too. Last year I basically lived there and was super happy with everything!
Hey, what do we think about the whole fake bouquet thing? like, I make one real one and one that looks just like it. I keep the real one for myself, then just toss the fake one out there...
Sandra Campbell9 said:If anyone happens to have the contact information for that little bakery over in a small town in the Midwest, I would be most grateful if you could send it my way via private message. Much appreciated!
blueowl88 said:🙂 Hehe... lucky you, being bored. I honestly don't know which task to tackle first. We have dance classes twice a week (my fiancé and I are trying to learn how to move together so we don't look like total amateurs), pre-marital counseling twice a week (thankfully that wrapped up last weekend), plus making all the invitations... then the thank-you notes... then those little favor bottles... then shopping for his suit (we finally checked that off the list today)... my actual job... and now we start making phone calls this weekend. I am absolutely exhausted. I'm living for the day this is all over so I can finally get some decent sleep 🙂 Not to mention the constant nerves about how everything will actually turn out... 😢
Just take it easy... you're clearly getting through it. We're down to just handing out invitations and then we're pretty much set until the big day. I just need to make a call on the wedding cake... maybe go with Robert or just stick with the bakery where I got the other sweets...
So, I’m new here, just wanted to say hi and let you all know our big day is set for September 11, 2010, at the Admiral in Indianapolis.
We’re living in Washington, D.C., but I’m originally from Memphis, which is why we’re doing the wedding out in the Midwest. Honestly, organizing this thing is becoming a total nightmare because being based in D.C. means I can't exactly hop on a plane to the Midwest every time I need to check on something. 😢 I’m hunting for a florist near Memphis or Indianapolis—I'd even look around St. Louis. I saw some people recommending Palm, Stella, or Iris from Savannah; I already shot an email to Palm and Iris, but Stella hasn't gotten back to me... if anyone has her info, please let me know. Also, if anyone could dig up an email for Jack from Ivanov, that would be huge...
On top of that, I need a makeup artist and a hairstylist who can come to me. By "to me," I mean Memphis 🙂 where the groom is having his welcome party.
There’s definitely more stuff on my list, but this is the priority right now! 😁
