I know some of you probably hate turquoise, but... I think it looks pretty great. 😍

I happen to love turquoise, and those little turquoise boxes are even better. 😉😍
I'm inclined to agree that Barclays might be the better choice... though, if I were you, I’d probably suggest Taxi Bend instead.
I'm not sure if you've heard of Toni Dream (Toni Bliznac), but they're the ones who recorded this song.
My favorites... Rose... they're actually quite excellent and don't charge much... I believe they even have a Facebook page.
Anyway, here is the link to the song.

He’s got some footage up on YouTube, so you can probably take a look and see for yourself.

My recommendations for Chunky, even if he isn't quite my style... he seems like a decent, straightforward, and clearly approachable singer... I've had the chance to chat with him personally, and he left me with a positive impression... and as far as I can tell, they aren't too pricey and they do a solid job with the sets....

When is the wedding scheduled? Personally, I'm not particularly fond of the interior, though the outdoor space seems excellent.

If there's actually some space available, I suppose you should first ask how much it would cost you... then head over to the caterer, hammer out a menu and a price, and decide if the math even works in your favor. Regarding San Diego, from what I understand, anyone who owns a venue could probably pull something together since they handle their own food service. However, if the hall doesn't come equipped with tables and chairs, it probably isn't worth the hassle at all. Logic suggests that the more people you have to hire individually, the higher the costs will climb. Everyone is responsible for their own share of the desserts, of course. But please, look into it and let me know what you find

I suppose I’m not entirely sure if anyone would even consider renting out a venue without including catering, given that those margins are likely where they make their real profit... I guess it really just depends on what their specific policies are.
Arthur Phillips12-------- I've heard Phoenix is actually quite impressive when it comes to the food scene... I suppose you might find it appealing as well.

I feel like I've scrolled through almost every thread on this board, but I still can't find a straight answer.😕

If you mean that blue ballroom right off the highway—the one with both a ground floor and an upper level—I've heard rumors that the music tends to bleed between floors. Apparently, people also mention it can get quite chilly or drafty in there...

Just to clarify our musical lineup... we’ve booked a guitarist, an accordion player, a mandolin player, and another vocalist—though essentially, they all sing. Three of them are part of the local choir at St. Jude's, and the fourth is from the community over in Riverside. I received a recommendation that they were the premier choice, specifically noting that Ed Segota is arguably the finest tenor in the country. After listening to them, I have to say, I was genuinely impressed. They’ll be performing Ave Maria during the ceremony, and if we decide on anything else, they can accommodate us.
Initially, I had planned on skipping the accordion, but I was advised it might be a bit too quiet, so I suppose I've abandoned my original idea. 🙂
If anyone happens to need their contact information, just let me know.
Does anyone happen to have a recommendation for a solid guitarist who could provide some accompaniment for me? I suppose I should specify that I am looking for someone based in San Diego.

Smoking isn't allowed inside the Mall of America; I checked with the manager... I suppose people just smoke out front by the hotel

I'm curious about what the food and service are actually like. I think I have a pretty good handle on the pricing for the Hilton's packages, but at the Sheraton, everything seems to be up for negotiation—though they're still quite pricey, and they don't even serve lamb!

I'd be so grateful for any feedback you could share!🙂

Hey... I ended up booking the Hilton. Regarding the catering, I've only heard glowing things from a few people who attended a wedding there. Besides, when I think about it, it can't be any worse than deli food, and since the Hilton is a five-star hotel, expectations are set. The manager mentioned they have an excellent chef, and since he made a good impression and seemed quite sincere, I decided to trust him. I've also heard from others that the food is great. As for the service, a photographer told me the staff is wonderful. Also, the band 😁 mentioned that the hall has excellent acoustics.
By the way, I looked into the Marriott too, but I didn't care for the atmosphere. The hall is just mediocre. To me, it feels cold, and the tables and chairs—with those covers—feel cramped. The tablecloths are beige and the chairs are white, or maybe vice versa; I just can't get used to the look. Plus, the Marriott is out of town, and I really don't want to have guests driving back from Malibu after having a few drinks...

My issue is that they use those specific mirrors and trays to decorate the cakes... and if someone were to ship them all the way from Chicago, I wouldn't be able to
rent those trays, and besides, who would even be there to assemble the cakes for me... you know what I mean?

I’ve sampled their pastries myself, and honestly, compared to what we usually find here in San Francisco, the flavors are incredible—not to mention how much I love the presentation.
BUT... I was told they deliver to Walmart here in San Francisco on Fridays, and I’m worried that (and it’s almost a certainty) they’ll just grab my Saturday orders at the same time, which would mean
they might be baked as early as Tuesday. I’m genuinely concerned they won't be fresh, or worse, might actually go bad, yet I'd still be expected to pay for$167 shipping to the shop and$100
the custom decorations...
any advice?

help, I tried scrolling back up through the thread but I just can't be bothered to 😁
Does anyone have any firsthand experience with Absom over in Springfield?
I'm specifically interested in their pastries and how they handle those mirror-glaze decorations.
And what’s the deal with their mousse? Mayo mentioned she actually prefers theirs... I checked out their website, but they don't really show much
How do they go about decorating their cakes?

Pleaseee

Kyle Young3 said:I checked out their ballet studio too... honestly, their food is incredible and the prices are actually reasonable. We’re definitely keeping them on our radar. The only catch is that their main hall is usually booked up during peak season, leaving us with just the space down by the restaurant. It's a bit cramped—can you really dance properly in a spot that small?

I used to be a regular at the ballet studio until things started going downhill.... the last time we went, my partner and I were honestly nauseated... by the time we were near the Walmart area, it was already a disaster....

We went back a few days later, and when we sat down at the ballet studio, the waiter brought risotto to the table—well, he didn't even set it down properly—and I immediately spotted ants... he started apologizing profusely, acting like he'd bring me a fresh one right away... I was skeptical, so I just said okay, though I didn't really believe him. I figured, fine, let him bring it; I'll just eat this black risotto with my boyfriend until my shrimp risotto arrives (I can't quite remember the specifics of what happened)... and nothing. We ate the black risotto, and then within about three or four minutes, the waiter supposedly brings me my "new" risotto... everything was tasteless, almost as if they had just rinsed the rice and shrimp and added a bit of cream, and that's what they served us (which wouldn't have surprised me given how lightning-fast the "new" dish was ready). So, I finally take a bite of this second attempt at white risotto, while my boyfriend is pointing out the ants in his black risotto.... we just called the waiter over immediately to bring both plates, asked for the check so we could pay and leave... the waiter kept apologizing, saying he felt truly terrible, but we just paid the bill and left, and we haven't been back since.
I should mention we were sitting inside, not outside, so the ant didn't come from a tree or anything... the ant came from the kitchen because the first plate—mine—wasn't even touched by the waiter before it hit the table; I was the one who pointed the ant out to him!

A total catastrophe and an absolute nightmare.
