Does anyone have a recommendation for a good hairstylist in Indianapolis? My regular stylist is on vacation right when I need her, and every other place I've called is booked solid. Can you believe this? I’m absolutely desperate—I’m only a month away from my wedding and I still don't have someone to handle my hair.🙂

ruggedsailor said:Hey girls! I just started hunting for a wedding venue (looking at maybe 🙂 next year) and I could really use some help.. I’m planning for about 120 guests, and finding the right spot around Indianapolis is proving to be a total pain, so any tips would be huge.
From what I've managed to dig up so far, I'm looking at
- Jack - Petra's place
- Petra and Anne
- Deram in Sedona
- Maybe somewhere near Ocala?

Anyone actually used these places? Any reviews or anything?

I'm hosting mine at Deram in July. So far, I'm quite happy with the organization!
Petra and Anne were also on our list, but we ended up passing because scheduling a walkthrough turned into such a headache.

Ladies, does anyone happen to know where I can track down this specific mesh for a birdcage veil, similar to the one in this photo? I am absolutely refusing to give up on finding this style of headpiece, but I'm completely stumped on where to buy, source, or even rent one. Please, if you have any leads, let me know!

Since several of you have been asking about garter sets, I’ll leave this link to the Facebook page here so you can check it out. They actually have a promotion running right now where you get two garters—one for the bachelor party toss and another for the honeymoon. Isn't that just convenient?🙂
I suppose I can get away with wearing Mayo if they won't let me wear Briscoe? http://www.facebook.com/pages/PODVEZICE/230677183700429

In case anyone's looking, I know a girl who makes custom lingerie, and she can whip some up for me too, so just shoot me a DM if you're interested 🙂

I went out shopping the other day, but I completely blanked on asking about this because my mind was stuck on a dozen other things. Thanks anyway, ladies! 🙂

Does anyone know where I can pick up one of those "Welcome" tarpaulin banners here in Indianapolis? I know where to find them over by the Walmart, but that’s a bit of a trek for me. If anyone knows a local spot in town, please let me know... and maybe the price too? Otherwise, I guess I'll just head over to Fort Wayne to get it printed!

Taylor Kelly2, I was at Target in the mall today looking at wedding figurines $8.25. They have those cute little miniatures for $1.25, plus various other wedding decor at decent prices. I picked up a white heart with a green wreath and white roses, and grabbed three yards of organza in my color for $2.75 (most stores charge about $2.25 per yard) .... yeah
they also have table cards with gold and silver patterns... 20 pieces for $2.75 🙂 something like this

I’d suggest holding off on any big purchases for now; prices always spike right around Valentine's Day. We decided to pull the trigger today because we finally had the budget available, and our local jeweler was actually willing to give us a decent little discount, so we checked that off the list. All we have left to get are the suits and shoes for both of us, so most of it is handled🤣. From here, we’re just going to save up a bit more until July. We’ve been handling everything ourselves—doing all the planning and shopping—and as for the wedding itself, we’ll just see how things go with whatever gifts we receive🤷

Thanks, Taylor Kelly2 🙂 Honestly, you might want to take a look now or just wait until after Valentine's Day. That jeweler is hiking up their prices starting February 1st, and we even checked out Karat down in the basement—I think that’s the name? Even there, they aren't cheap; a standard wedding band is running about $3,000. Still, I suppose they aren't too bad compared to the other jewelry stores around town. 😂
Our options here are actually quite lovely...😍

My wedding bands just arrived today... Someone here mentioned a jeweler right across from the local jeweler, so we're heading there now to pick up our $833 white gold pieces. I'll post some photos once they're finished 😍

Paul Fisher34 said:So, here I am, just crashing the party again like I landed from Mars 🙂... I happened to stumble upon some work by this photographer, Marina Franov, out of Indianapolis... and honestly, I actually dig his style 😁... so I was wondering if anyone here has worked with him? Like, good or bad experiences??? What about his rates?? Anything at all would be helpful

We ended up choosing him; everything from the quality of the shots to the price hit the sweet spot for us. For both photo and video, it was $2000. You can find him on Facebook or through his website.

Plus, he’s actually hosting an exhibition at a local cafe tonight. We should probably head over; the guy is a total character, and his work definitely reflects that energy. 😁It works for us.🙂

I’ve spotted them at various spots—Walmart, Muller, even at the local Target. In my neck of the woods, the local Best Buy always has those stands overflowing with lollipops and all sorts of candy, not to mention the displays you see at the mall. 🙂Just ask me about anything candy-related... I'm practically an expert. 🙂))

Walter Moore5 said:Hey, would I still be able to snag that discount? To be honest, I already put down a deposit on my wedding dress at a bridal salon in Indianapolis a few days ago, so I’m not sure if I can even use it.

What kind of discount are we talking about here? Is it just on the new collection or does it cover everything? And did you actually win that through the raffle? I went to the trade show myself, but I didn't walk away with anything like that.

I sent you a DM. The discount is $167. I didn't win it in the raffle, but I did get a bouquet 🙂))) 😍 from the florist 🤣

Nicole Hill35 said:Does the Isabelle discount only work in Indianapolis? Is that actually stated? If I could use it in Slough or Jackson too, I’d 😍

It's only valid in Indianapolis; that's what my aunts told me at the trade show.🙂

urbanpanther18 said:Me again, looking for some help. Hopefully once I'm through this, I can pay it forward and help someone else out too.🙂

Any good bridal boutiques in Columbus? How much time should I set aside for each stop—does the fitting process take forever? Also, do I need to book an appointment ahead of time😉 just so I can get my schedule sorted out?

I’ll leave my two cents here as well. I spent about half an hour at one shop for a fitting—though I suppose the girls who have tried on dozens of dresses can tell you exactly how much time you actually need. If you're looking for options, check out Isabelle’s, Claire’s, Stefanie’s, or The Bride. There’s also a place right next to Isabelle called Mi-Mo, and if you want something custom, Maya is a great local fashion house that does their own sewing. Also, if you want a discount at Isabelle’s or Claire’s, I actually have some coupons from a bridal expo that I can give you. As for me? I ended up getting mine at Stefanie's.

So, here I am. I stopped by Stephanie’s today and officially put down a deposit on my wedding dress. Their new collection is absolutely stunning $1500----I only tried on one gown—the one I’ve been obsessing over for two months—and honestly? It fits like a glove. It's light, fresh, and just perfect 😍, so I've completely scrapped my plans to have something custom-made or ordered online since my sister was sweet enough to chip in on the cost 🙂)))))) The staff there were so lovely; even though I didn't have an appointment, they were kind enough to let me try things on 🙂)) I'm thrilled 🤣. I practically floated home
