Everything you need for a California wedding in Weddings ·
It’s an old-school brand, and honestly, they taste amazing, but I feel like you're paying a premium for them. I actually went to this big wedding recently where the cake was made by that baker from the New York Cheesecake shop—you can find her on Facebook and she has her own website too. She was super sweet, and the woman seriously knows her stuff. As for the price, though? I’m still not entirely sold.

Does anyone in San Francisco know someone who handles custom paper cutting for wedding invitations? Like, is that something I could just tackle myself?

Just a heads up, Text Paper is open this Saturday from 8 AM to noon.

Hey guys, where can I find some high-quality cardstock for invitations? I need something a bit thicker and more premium than just standard printer paper. Thanks!

Lawrence Doyle5 said:I was honestly so annoyed with the pastry chef. I knew—and I still know—that what Daniel Smith8 is saying is spot on; you really only need about a pound per person at most (I personally budgeted for just under a pound each), but when I went to ask her directly, she had the nerve to tell me: "It can't be any less than three pounds!" It felt a little shady, honestly. Look, I get it, her job is to move product and make a buck, but doing it like that? Just tacky.
Jessica Jackson13, if you're doing a dessert table, you aren't putting every single little treat out on display all at once, so you'll actually need less. You have to factor in that not everyone is going to get up and grab sweets during the dinner... everyone says that, based on experience...

Look, I asked about this too because I wanted to see what the expert would say, even though I pretty much already knew the answer—my mom used to bake professionally back in the day, so I know the drill. She confirmed that 15 ounces is the actual max. For me, that kind of info was actually a huge plus; it proves they aren't just trying to cram extra stuff in just to hike up the sales price.🙂

Who else would you recommend besides Tina Katanić and Ana Grgić? I feel like they've been all over the news lately, so I'm wondering if anyone else has some solid recommendations to throw my way?

Hey ladies, which jewelry stores in San Francisco would you recommend for wedding rings?
I still haven't made up my mind about which cookies to grab. I’m basically torn between House Cookies and that one Old Brand.
I mean, both of them are way pricier than the other options out there, but honestly, nothing else even comes close when it comes to quality—they’re legit homemade style.
Hey there! 🙂

Victoria's Secret, Vera bridal, Glamour Bride, Gale's boutique, my Lipton...

That's basically everything I can think of.

I picked up some stuff at Victoria's Secret, and honestly, the women working there are actually pleasant. They aren't pushy at all, which I love. They aren't those annoying types who tell you that you look stunning and gorgeous the second you step into a fitting room.
I’m pretty sure I already asked this exact same thing, yet somehow I still haven't gotten an answer... 🤷

Also, I am desperately seeking recommendations for a florist—specifically someone who can handle everything from bouquets and car decor to church arrangements and reception pieces (I’d love little centerpieces for every guest table plus the main sweetheart table)... Honestly, my dream scenario would be finding a girl who specializes in this so we could go shopping together. We could pick out all the flowers and supplies as a team—I’ll cover all the costs myself, obviously, and just pay her a fair fee for her time and expertise! If anyone knows someone like that, please, please let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more thing... my wedding is in just over three months, and I haven't even stepped foot into a bridal boutique yet... I'm starting to feel a bit of a panic set in when I see how some women start hunting for their dresses a full year in advance. What do you all think????? Am I too late?

Look, I just put down my deposit on mine, and my big day isn't until June. Everyone was breathing down my neck telling me I was cutting it way too close and that I'd have zero options left, blah blah blah.
Honestly, most of that sounded like total nonsense to me; a friend of mine found her perfect dress with only two months to go, and she was even pregnant at the time.

But hey, maybe it’s actually a good move for you to start hunting now just so you can cross one massive thing off your to-do list. Plus, honestly? Just enjoy the process of trying them on. It’s such a blast! 😍

I'm pretty sure we're talking about Macro, specifically those Phoenix stores. They used to carry that stuff back about four years ago.

Can someone give me some recommendations for bakeries that do great cakes and pastries, but I'm looking for something other than Babic, Bobis, or Em K? Specifically in San Francisco.
Just to be clear, I don't have anything against those places, but I really want to have some legit, high-quality homemade-style treats for that day—they just need to be from a certified, professional shop.

Anyone here actually eaten at Adriatic (Grašo) lately? Give me the real scoop.

Hey everyone!!

The wedding is happening next April. We’re looking at a maximum of about 90 guests, so can anyone throw some good venue recommendations my way?
Also, does anyone here have experience working with the photographers over at studij Bonačić? I’ve been scrolling through their portfolio and the shots look killer, but we’re really leaning towards something more spontaneous and candid.
Calcium deficiency symptoms/tips? in Health ·
I’m living in San Francisco, so I’m out in the sun and by the coast pretty much all the time. I’ve still got a long way to go before menopause hits, or at least that's the plan. 😬
Nah, my Vitamin D levels are totally fine.
I think I'll give those tablets a shot; it shouldn't be too hard to kick this. Thanks.😉

Sorry if this topic has already been covered—I did some digging, but couldn't find anything quite like this...

I’m curious if anyone here has actually tried calcium chewables and what your experience was like?

I just had my bloodwork done, and my doctor told me my calcium levels are low. I’ve also noticed my nails are constantly splitting and peeling, which I'm assuming is tied to the deficiency. It feels a bit weird to me, though, because I drink more than half a liter of milk a day and eat plenty of dairy products, so I have no idea how I could be running low...🤷
