The Radisson is a solid bet. We had 113 people show up for ours and everything went off without a hitch! Definitely recommend.

I was just weighing my options between eating at Grašo or hitting up the Radisson rooftop terrace by the pool.

We actually hosted a party at the Radisson back in October, and honestly? We were blown away. Their whole vibe, the professionalism, the way they handle things... everything was spot on. They checked off every single one of my random requests without breaking a sweat. It was absolute perfection. Highly, highly recommend!

Hey there,
I'm trying to get a ballpark idea of what decorating the head table costs, and also, has anyone actually worked with Prestige Design before?
....I honestly have no clue how much they'd charge just to set up the wedding table (minus the flowers)?
Hey. So, Irene from Prestige Design handled our venue setup and let me tell you—it looked absolutely incredible! For the bride and groom's table, you usually want a table runner and then a Baldachin behind the table to really frame it. The price for that specific combo (not counting flowers) is $667. You can set up the Baldachin in a ton of different ways, too, and you don't have to stick to white drapes if you want other colors. If you're on a tighter budget, you could always skip one of those pieces. For example, we skipped the runner and just went with the Baldachin, which obviously cost us less. Check out these photos from Facebook showing both the runner and the Baldachin setup:

I’ve never actually attended a joint gathering like this before, so I’m curious about how it usually plays out...

We did our photo session right before the reception, so we walked in together. Honestly, even if we hadn't done photos, we still would've gone in as a pair. It’s just way better for the guests, plus you get a little moment of privacy beforehand—you know, so he can actually see her for the first time without a hundred people staring at them both at once🙂...at least, that's what worked best for us...

So, I’ve gotta drop some serious recommendations for this Candy Shop in Miami. If you’re looking for those unique little treats that basically just melt the second they hit your tongue—this is it. The owner actually studied her pastry craft in Paris and London, so she seriously knows her stuff. We used to run a little "Sweet Corner" setup featuring her desserts, and honestly, it felt like something out of a fairytale. People were absolutely obsessed 😉

So, I officially became a Mrs. this past Saturday! 🙂 Honestly, it was everything I dreamed of and then some—way beyond my wildest expectations. I really need to give a massive shout-out to the dream team that pulled this off: glamour Spos, the folks over at Bonačić, prestiž dizajn, and the deliciousness from slatkarija. A huge thanks to Viadel, the flower shop jaglac, and the absolute best band to ever hit a stage—The Speen—who kept the party going with a setlist that was pure magic. But most importantly, a giant thank you to the Radisson hotel. Their professionalism and the way they handled everything was next level; they truly made the whole day feel like a fairytale. hvalaaaaa :*

Megan Stewart5 said:Good afternoon, everyone.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a solid band for a wedding taking place in May 2015?

Since this will be an international affair—quite the mix of guests, really—we’re going to need a group that can pivot effortlessly between American classics and international hits. A one-trick pony simply won't do here.

Please help! Thanks.🙂

The Speen? Honestly, they’re geniuses. Their setlist is massive—they pull from all kinds of indie stuff, too. Total pros.

They just swung by to pick up the cookies—thanks a ton!

Does anyone actually have a phone number for Viadel? I've been scouring the internet and coming up totally empty...
Thomas Nguyen53 said:I’ll try my luck on this thread, since it feels like the photography discussion hasn't quite hit its stride yet. Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for someone whose style mirrors Papaja or Maji Jokic, but stays within a budget of roughly $2667? I'm strictly looking for photography services here.

No worries at all 😉

I’ve actually heard some good things about arija too—supposedly it's totally fine. I haven't made it out there myself, but I have some close friends who hit up a party there recently and they gave it the thumbs up...

gentlewolf69 said:I honestly don't think a policy like that is right, and I certainly wouldn't sign off on it myself. Besides, all this talk about pricing feels like a complete fog to me... If you look at TTTS, Dugopolj, or Kaštela, the prices there are about ten bucks lower than they are in Split. It basically feels like you're just paying an extra ten dollars simply because of the zip code you're in.

Well, duh, obviously prices in Split are going to be higher than they are in Dugopolj. In Dugopolj, all the spots are specialized catering halls with fixed menus, whereas in Split, we're talking full-on restaurants and hotels... personally, I'm totally fine with that because everyone can just pick whatever fits their vibe. Honestly, even if chairs in Dugopolj were 10 dollars cheaper, I wouldn't care because I wouldn't be working a catering gig out there anyway.

Joshua Perez122 said:The guy I was chatting with mentioned they have a standard menu... prices usually float somewhere between $45 and $35. If we book for a Friday or Sunday, he said we could get it for $35. When I told him we’re looking at around 200 guests, he suggested maybe $40.
A $500 deposit is required, and they can accommodate up to 320 people.
I really love that whole pool situation... :-)
I wonder if there's enough room for dancing though? That's pretty important to me.
Is Velum any good? I'm leaning towards it since being so close to the ocean sounds lovely...

The venue is huge, plenty of space to move around.

Joshua Perez122 said:So, I just got off the phone with Sky and checked out a few other halls and restaurants a bit ago. Prices seem to be hovering somewhere between $45 and $50... I mean, I can definitely keep calling them myself, but honestly, I’m more interested in hearing from people who have actually been there for weddings..
I reached out to
Aria
Bolero
Sky
Velum
And Kadena—they said they can fit about 120 people there.

If any of you know anything at all, could you maybe write a few words about each place?..
Or if you have a recommendation, let me know!

So, I was at a wedding at Skyline recently and it was killer. The food? Absolutely divine. But look, they didn't do that typical, boring wedding menu—I think the couple went all out and paid extra for the premium experience... we're talking cocktails by the pool and this massive late-night buffet right by the water around 1 AM with basically everything you could ever crave... The venue itself is totally solid too...

Joshua Perez122 said:Radisson is out, I just called them. They scrapped those three different packages they had before. Now they’re only offering one single option. The food is included $133, but drinks? You gotta pay extra for those. You have to choose between a $9 or a $35 per person deal for beverages. If you go with the $35 one, it's all-you-can-drink. But if you pick the $9 version, you just get a glass of wine and beer, plus sodas and water—though I guess that's not really an unlimited thing... I ended up at a total of $90 per head because I was asking for everything in dollars. For 200 people, we're looking at $18,000. Thanks, but hard pass...

Our setup works out to about $47 a chair since we can bring everything ourselves—our own booze, the desserts, the cake (they provide their own cake though), and they give us the room and a super cheap reception before the church service. Overall, it's a steal... but I don't know, maybe they canceled that deal now... Honestly, if you don't have a specific date locked in, I doubt you'll even be able to snag the Pirate. We were looking at both the Radisson and the Pirate last September, and we wanted to do our party in September this year, but every single date was booked solid. In the end, our party is October 18th—literally the very first date that was available at both places, and that was back when we started looking six months ago!!!!

William Lewis8 said:Yeah... I'm dealing with the exact same headache... just too many people. Honestly, ever since we first stepped foot in that hall a few years back, my husband and I were like, "That's the one." No other venue even crossed our minds. Love at first sight, right? Haha. But hey, maybe I can actually squeeze them all in this time. 🙄 We were thinking about putting the older crowd in that section—you know, the ones who can't stand the loud music and stuff. Before, we were hitting around 160 or 170 people and it was perfect. Not quite a mosh pit, but felt full. Hmm... 😳

Man, if it's love at first sight, then there's really no decision to be made 🙂. It’s gonna be awesome regardless of how many people show up. 😉

Joshua Perez122 said:He seems pretty interested in the Radisson

I totally forgot to mention—we're expecting about 130 people, and honestly, even then, I think that’s pushing it for the Pirate venue (even though they’re insisting on a minimum of 140 for Saturday, which makes absolutely zero sense to me...). They have this one section of the hall that's completely walled off and isolated, and there is no way in hell I’d want to stick anyone in there; it would kill the whole vibe if they couldn't see what was happening. But hey, some of my friends had a party there recently with a smaller crowd—maybe around 80 people—and it was actually awesome!

Look, we were actually torn between Guasar and the Radisson. But once we sat down, grabbed a pen, and mapped out all the pros and cons, the Radisson won by a landslide... especially when you factor in having 200 guests. Honestly? I think 200 people would be way too much for Guasar. You'd all be packed in like sardines and there wouldn't even be enough floor space left to dance. That was my biggest hang-up with Guasar—my whole crew is young, they live to hit the dance floor, and we need room to move. Plus, everything at Guasar is top-tier, especially the food. Can't complain about that one bit. 🙂
Has anyone here actually worked with Prestige Design before? Looking for some honest feedback. Thanks!
