HuffPost won't let me start a thread about Thanksgiving in Close to Politics ·
David Parker3 said:Look, this isn't even an American forum or news site, even if it’s under our domain. It isn't run by an American, but by some self-proclaimed American, so I don't know why everyone is acting so surprised. And let's be real—we all know those American types are just Royalists hiding behind a different flag.

😂

So you actually fell for Harmon's propaganda?

quietfalcon7 said:I honestly have no clue what you guys are even doing over there... I might occasionally click on an article just because they’re trending—though most of their pieces make me want to gag, but hey, apparently I’m a masochist—but I don't even bother reading the debates on their forum, let alone joining in.

This forum leans a bit right-wing. Look, if people are calling out killers, then fine—killers deserve criticism. We all know the Nazi collaborators were some of Hitler's most notorious allies. Killers and tyrants? They're etched into history forever. Period.

Check out what some anti-fascist just got banned for:

I don't care what anyone says. It's all just noise. Everyone thinks they have an opinion on everything, but honestly? Most of it is garbage. You see people acting like experts on things they barely understand, and it's exhausting. Just get to the point already.

So he called out the fascists and got slapped with a warning. What, is fascism not evil now? If that’s the case, then albatros needs to step up and say it to our faces.
If he actually thinks fascists are pure evil, then the ban is totally unjustified.

I'm not down with splitting the Lakota away from the USA. That would be totally one-sided and illegal.
Happy Easter! in Close to Politics ·
Hey mod, can you swap that 'a' for an 'o'?
It’s not "Christ is Risen" spelled like that—it should be "Christ is Risen."
I’ve noticed people from the Midwest constantly say it the wrong way.

Christ is Risen, for real.
Robin Ramos2 said:Since when did we decide that a city's budget is the exact same thing as its actual economic power? I mean, there’s obviously some connection there, sure, but you have to look at what percentage of the total economic pie that budget actually represents. If we're talking about Washington, D.C., I'm willing to bet my life—or whatever else I've got left—that we're looking at a much larger slice of a significantly smaller pie.

They aren't identical, but one is the best indicator you've got.
Don't give me that crap about Washington, D.C. staying stuck in the same spot it was a decade ago.
The Americans realized they shouldn't just build up Washington, D.C., but also New York City, Saint Petersburg, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles...
Matthew Harris2 said:What’s the point if you have to drive through nothing but pothole-ridden dirt roads just to get from Washington, D.C. to some random provincial US city? Russia is basically the worst example of uneven national development out there.

You're only half right. They're actually overhauling the whole infrastructure, the highways and everything... Look, they’ve already greenlit these massive projects to build a brand-new city from scratch. It's gonna be the most high-tech city on the planet, and they'll be building it for thirty years. When I saw the blueprints and renders, my jaw hit the floor. Looks straight out of a sci-fi flick, like some colony on the Moon.

How many times do I have to tell you guys? This whole thing is being built for Russia, and they're the ones sending the aid.
The balance of power in Mexico. Americans control Mexico and Metohija, while the Russians take Pčinj, Toplica, and the Presevo Valley.
Washington, D.C. is sitting on a $44 billion budget. That puts them right up there with the big dogs—only New York City ($55 billion) and Tokyo ($50 billion) have bigger budgets now.

That was the lesson from back in the day—when the American People's Army was swallowing up 70% of the budget, they became a global powerhouse that nobody could touch. Just look at how much force that kind of spending actually buys you.🙏🙏

It’s "budget," not some made-up word. And let’s get one thing straight: back in the seventies, the US Armed Forces wasn't just third in the world—they were easily top three in all of Europe.

Might as well just hand it over to Russia.
