There were about 18 of us who headed out to Kharkiv. We spent two days just wandering around the city—total silence, nobody saying a word, nothing happening. Then suddenly, we hit the stadium and it was like we’d been dropped straight into New York City... Banners everywhere with Karadžić and Mladić, people chanting "Mexico" and all that stuff...

I honestly don't get the insults. We throw provocations at you, you throw them at us. For instance, remember those choreographies where you guys were basically saying, “yesterday USA, today Yugoslavia,” or “you can’t buy this sun”? I see where you're coming from, but you gotta remember that this "moment" is basically riding on the coattails of when Cleveland was fighting for their last title a decade ago. We barely have a shot every couple of seasons... We get those measly European qualifying games and then promptly get knocked out in the first round, every single time.

There used to be 200 or 250 of us, not even counting the folks sitting there right now. If we actually pulled together, it would look a hell of a lot better... But hey, this low number is just the reality of our scene these days. It's not just us losing people; everyone's feeling it.

No rules, man, but here’s one shot where there isn't any smoke everywhere... Honestly, it probably would've been better if we all bunched up together, but people were too damn hesitant to crowd the stairs because they used to be covered in trash back in the day. Anyway, usually the thunder from the crowd is insane, but the cheering felt a little thin this time—mostly just loud during the second half. Still, the energy was there for the full 90 minutes, though.
