Forget all that nonsense about the Beetles. Sure, things got a little heated over in Norway, but there wasn't any actual fighting. Then we had that one match in Miami, and honestly, nobody even bothered the demons or anyone else. I don't even know if they showed up, but nobody was looking for trouble.

And let’s be real, nobody’s going to be looking for them when the US plays next time.

Drew Perez said:Look, I gotta give credit where it's due regarding those flares over in North Mexico, but let's be real—that kind of chaos happens there just as much as it does here. What, you think lighting up twenty flares in San Francisco wouldn't happen? Actually, wait, that wasn't even my point. I was asking about the small local matches.

Just keep that second part for your little fantasies, man. 😂

Ha! If you were actually over eighteen and had more than twenty-five away games under your belt, and weren't just some obsessed Los Angeles Dodgers fan 😁 , you probably wouldn't have jumped to that conclusion so fast... 🤣

Drew Perez said:I’m not even trying to argue, I just know the truth. 😁 If you guys had pulled off even ONE decent flare display at any small games over the last four years, you'd have nothing but photos to shove in my face right now...

Go ahead, come at me with your nonsense and mock me all you want, but the fact remains: not one single person here has posted a legitimate photo of a flare show from a minor match in the last four years. But hey, why would you ever admit that? Not a chance. 😍

North Mexico - 20 flares with only 30 people... that's 66.7%. Statistically speaking, that's probably the most intense flare display an American group has ever pulled off.. 😁

So, which group are you actually part of, how old are you, and how many games have you even been to?
The Armada in Fans ·
Drew Perez said:So, you're basically admitting there hasn't been a single flare lit at any small-scale games over the last four years? And let's be clear—everything except matchups against the big hitters like Dinamo or the Los Angeles Dodgers counts as a small game here.

Look, I literally just dropped footage from five minor games in the last twelve months alone where we saw batches of 10 to 20 flares going off... If we're seeing that kind of action in just one year, what do you think the numbers looked like during the three years before this? Back when we weren't stuck at rock bottom like we are right now? 😁

Drew Perez said:I’ve been looking back at the last four years—and look, you don't have to stick strictly to just this past season—but I've been asking about the flares... specifically at those smaller games. Absolutely nothing, right? Just zero.

In the seasons before last, we used to get about five home derbies a year, thanks to the cup runs and how the playoff system was set up. Those were the big ones where things actually lit up—always at least 20 people, probably even over 50 at times... So, basically, we had maybe five real heavy flare shows per season.

Gotta get to work or whatever, catch you guys later tonight.. 😉

Drew Perez said:I’ve only got one question for the Armada. Can anyone actually pull up a photo of a flare display from the last four years that wasn't just some massive derby? I mean a real pyrotechnic show. At least 20 flares going off at once.

In the last year alone:

The Skopje-Intertoto Cup match—maybe 15 to 20 flares (not even all of them made it into the video clip)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JE-prvqMJNc

Luxembourg, two separate bursts of about 10 flares each

As for the MLS, they’ve been scheduling fewer and fewer daytime games lately, so...
Seattle vs. General Mills—if I had to guess, maybe 15 smoke canisters plus a few flares..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2nWo...layer_embedded

Seattle vs. Memphis, about 10
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOwzoRUFbVk

Seattle vs. Indianapolis, about 10

Anything else...?

I don't get it. Seriously, I’m talking about how things look right now, in the present, but everyone keeps dragging us back to the good old days. I never said the Navy wasn't stronger than those other groups back then—of course they were—but I'm talking about TODAY!
Honestly, maybe it'd be better if the Navy just skipped certain games entirely or stopped cheering altogether. Probably wouldn't even matter; those "glory days" crowd would still find a way to claim the Navy was always second only to Torcida or the BBB, and that they'd still be better than Kohort or the Demons... whatever.🤷

Go back and read my post at the top of the thread. I laid out a solid, logical argument for why the Navy is still a quality group today—not yesterday, not tomorrow, but right now—regardless of any recent dip in numbers...

John Perez13 said:@bluewalker92/">@@bluewalker92, who exactly are you writing these manifestos for? Who are you trying to impress? What's the point of all this justifying?

Look, I'm not answering to anyone. Period. I’m just posting this for the guys in my own circle so they don't fall for the absolute garbage being spewed on these forums every single day. Yeah, most people out there hate our guts because we’re "us against the world," and sure, maybe there aren't many honest fans left who can look past the hate and admit we still matter. And fine, maybe other groups have better photo ops or spend way more on their social media hype, but that doesn't mean we're washed up.

Fan forums today? They're pure trash. In the grand scheme of things, they carry about as much weight as some random bottom-tier comment section on a news site. I just don't want our younger guys—the kids coming up through the ranks—to read this stuff and think their dedication or their passion doesn't count for anything. But honestly, even though I'm typing this out, I doubt I can stop the majority from being bombarded by sheer stupidity and propaganda 24/7.

Besides, I think we passed that point a long time ago. We shouldn't let the insults slow us down. If anything, all the disrespect and the constant bashing is just going to make us tighter. It'll only make us stronger.
The Armada in Fans ·
Look, I’m calling on everyone in the fan club and all you Cleveland supporters out there: don't fall for this garbage being peddled here. Seriously, stop buying into it. It doesn't matter if we hit a rough patch or how much propaganda other people try to spin—we are still the third biggest group in the country, right behind the Wildcats fans and BBB. People love trying to diminish us, acting like we don't measure up, but honestly? On pretty much every single metric, we're standing toe-to-toe with them. Whether you look at our away numbers, the turnout for those smaller home games, the massive crowds at the derbies, or even just the sheer quality and volume of our choreos, banners, and pyro... or even how we back the national team, the originality of our chants, or just the raw energy of the way we chant (though I’m not sure what the demons are doing lately).

Actually, scratch "standing toe-to-toe"—in certain areas like the choreos, following the national squad, and showing up for the big derby matches, we are miles ahead!! And when you factor in those huge wins, we’re still holding a clear lead over the Cohort, the demons, and the rest of them.

Now, regarding the whole hooligan scene... that's a different conversation entirely. Sure, it's true there was that recent mess where things got a bit lax, and a few other times where we dropped the ball, but the media machines for the other groups have turned those hiccups into "massive victories" for themselves. That's just how they play it. But let's be real: we've had incredible trips abroad that nobody else could touch, we've seen blood spilled, and we've stood our ground against our biggest enemies more times than I can count. Also, I don't know how much you guys follow local news, but it's common knowledge that the local police department here does their job better than anyone else. If they can be the best at taking down organized crime, believe me, they have the tools to handle hooliganism too.

And one more thing: give some respect to the work others are putting in. No matter how much you might want to trash us, you have to admit that some of the people typing these posts probably bled for their own groups just to get to a level where they could even be mentioned in the same sentence as us. The only reason they're even in the conversation is because we took a hit. Plus, a lot of what we have now—the culture, the traditions—was built from nothing by the older generation. Yeah, maybe hitting our current numbers isn't impossible for someone today, but you can't forget that someone had to start from zero to build this foundation!

At the end of the day, you've gotta have respect for any supporter. These are people who sacrifice everything, sometimes even their lives, just to see their club and their group thrive. They don't just do it for the glory; they do it because they live for the ideal, and that kind of devotion is what matters most. And let's face it, being a fan these days is a nightmare. Between the constant crackdown from the authorities and the total lack of understanding from the powers that be, it's a brutal, uphill battle...

Ha, some people are gonna claim the fall stretch of last season was just a massive stain on The Armada's history, but if you ask me, that mess was fueled by nothing else than heavy-handed police crackdowns... We’re talking about maybe 30 court injunctions, 40 proposed bans, and 40 verbal warnings from the cops. Basically, around 70 folks are being barred from coming to Kantrida—either because they spoke up or because the department decides to toss them into a squad car preemptively. Under similar circumstances (maybe even easier ones), one Cohort decided to just boycott the whole thing. We didn't. Why would we just roll over and retreat from the stadium? That’s exactly what the people hunting us want.

The rest of this text is just jumping all over the place, just like everyone else in this thread. First you're comparing birthday groups, then suddenly you're claiming that's the most important constant...

Zachary Morris9 said:Even last year during that little mini-tournament down in San Diego—you know, when the California team was playing in the finals against the Navy crew, and Cleveland was battling it out for third place against the Atlantic squad—there were maybe 30 Hell-raisers showing up, but you wouldn't see a single sign of the Armada. Not a trace.

From what I gathered, there were maybe 15 or 20 people total at that little tournament on Sunday...

So I was at this cup match up in Pittsburgh... basically just 12 people and "one guy from Armada SB" showed up. 😁

Kenneth Campbell64 said:Back when we were grinding through the second and third tiers of the MLS, the Demons were putting on absolute masterclasses with the choreos. We’d hit the road constantly, getting into scraps with whatever other crews rolled into town. Honestly? Most groups would’ve folded long ago if they had to walk the path we did, but we just kept getting tougher every single year. It’s simple, really—the core of the Demons hasn't changed in ten years. We don't care about a bad run or a few lousy losses; that stability is our superpower. And now, this group has something the old Demons never even dreamed of.

Look, I already told you guys you’re a solid crew, and props to that core group of yours. It’s true, you’ve pulled off some great displays at home and on the road. But let's be real—there were times you showed up to away games with maybe five people. We'll see if you can actually keep pace with the top-flight tempo 🙂. Our core stays at a steady 10 to 15 people who travel to every single away match, plus another 50 folks who show up for about 80% of them. So, unless it's a Tuesday and everyone's stuck at work, we're always pulling at least 50 bodies.

So yeah, we’ve got a core that doesn't care about the scoreline either... But whether there are 500 of us or just 200 sitting in Yankee Stadium? Man, let's be honest, right now that definitely depends on whether we're winning or losing.
The Armada in Fans ·
I don't mind the Demons much; they look pretty sharp on the field, if nothing else, mostly because their colors are actually kind of unique... But honestly, let's just see if they can actually pull off a full season—two or more, hopefully... Because for them, that first round felt like playing in the Champions League after spending forever grinding through the lower leagues. Meanwhile, for us, it was just another depressing afternoon at Yankee Stadium following a string of terrible results from Cleveland, which meant even our attendance numbers were looking pretty pathetic...

But seriously, who actually gives a damn about how anyone handled an away game at the “ugliest stadium in the country”? 😁
The Armada in Fans ·
If you ask me, we're looking at somewhere around 150 to 200...

Mark Long73 said:the fleet was actually pretty solid.!
They blasted that "DIE A MAN" banner right when halftime kicked in—probably trying to give the players some kind of backbone before they trudged back to the locker rooms.

When it hit 4-0, about 90% of us just sat there stunned.
But then we started cheering again, all the way through. Honestly, the fleet did a great job.

And man, there were flashes everywhere. I guess they wanted to capture our North Stand looking completely hopeless.

Well, mostly we were just taking pictures of ourselves... 😁

If anyone caught a shot of the banner or any other photos of the South Side, please send them my way...

Maybe someone in the back rows stayed standing while everyone else dropped their flags? Either that, or most people just sat down, or maybe I was just too shell-shocked by the score to notice...

goldengardener19 said:That was a pretty slick little walkout for such a "small" game... I mean, sure, the whole concept—ripping off crests, the jail cell bars, all that stuff—we've seen it a million times before. Credit where credit is due though, they put in the work. If only a few more folks had actually shown up to the stands...

And honestly, the turnout for the away fans? Not bad at all. Kinda surprised me how many showed up.

Look, I'm with you on the motive and the idea being nothing new. The whole ripping through bars and emblems bit? Seen it. But that part where they flip the banners? I haven't seen that specific move yet...

As for the crowd size... hey, it wasn't half bad.

urbanhawk10 said:The rhythm of the song doesn't sound too bad to me, but what about you guys? I feel like I’ve heard it somewhere before, but I honestly can't be sure.

Look, the rhythm and melody are totally ours—just pulled out of thin air. It's possible there's some random track out there that sounds similar, and maybe the songwriter just had it stuck in their head subconsciously, though I doubt it... But let's be real, this definitely isn't some intentional rip-off of some band you find on YouTube. A few people here thought the melody sounded familiar, but nobody has actually found anything overseas that matches it exactly...

Man, honestly... I’m already getting worked up thinking about how for the next twenty years, people are going to bring up the fact that we didn't show up to that friendly match this Saturday as ammo in their endless arguments over whether the Demons or the Navy are actually better.. 🙂

But it should be obvious why we weren't there. Everyone knows we're always the first ones showing up for the Ultras whenever the national team is playing..
