- You don't even have to fast before the procedure.
- Just hop on the table and get your shot.
- Hang out for about 5 to 10 minutes while the meds kick in.
- You'll feel some pressure or a cutting sensation, but zero pain (takes maybe 5 mins).
- They apply the anesthetic, pop in some biodegradable stitches, and wrap it up (5 to 10 mins).
- Get dressed and head straight home.

The whole thing takes maybe half an hour.

- A quick follow-up and bandage change a few days later (only takes 5 mins).

- Recovery time for things to get back to normal (you know, for sex) is anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. It really depends on the person.
- The scar takes a little longer to fully fade.

No passing out, no mess, no drama. 😁

Plus, that final scene where they ask, "What exactly do you think you've won?" really drives home the point—that woman who fought her way to the top was never actually higher than she was in that exact moment. It’s a total Pyrrhic victory.

It’s not bad. Honestly, the ending is pretty damn good.

Was she any more "dignified" when her own father sold her off to that guy who was treating her like dirt?

A bit too slow for me, and honestly, there were some pretty dull moments. 6/10
First Man (2018) in Movies ·
Solid movie. I really dug how claustrophobic the action felt. My only gripe was that whole subplot involving the wife and kids—honestly, you could just cut that entire thing out. It feels like they just shoved a female character in there because they thought they had to, even though she added zero to the story.

The old Tomcat is making a comeback.
Honestly, the whole plot feels like a total remake of Firefox with Clint Eastwood, except instead of a MiG, they're swiping an F-14 this time.

John Booth6 said:I don't know how you value your free time, but mine isn't worth wasting on this. Honestly, this movie doesn't even deserve all this hype.

Look, I called it a good movie, which is why I asked. Instead of just answering, you decided to get all technical about how I phrased my question. 🙄
Outlaw King (2018) in Movies ·
John Booth6 said:I gotta say, the question feels a bit weird if I swap out the word "worth it" for something like "is it worth the cost." As far as I know, downloading a movie or streaming it doesn't cost anything extra. If something is free to watch, why ask if it's "worth it"—as in, did you waste your money? You didn't pay for it, so there's no cash to lose. Or maybe I'm just missing something here? Happy to hear someone clear up the confusion if I've got it wrong.

You could've just given me a yes or no instead of that whole essay, but since you're so curious, let me break it down for you:

Worth it -----> my time.

Man, when I saw this news, I actually felt bad for Ridley Scott. The guy must be facing some serious money issues if he’s deciding to take this on.
Life without a smile in Dentistry & Oral Hygiene ·
wiredlynx34 said:Hey everyone.
I decided to just vent anonymously because I’m honestly traumatized by my teeth. It gets so bad sometimes that I feel like I'm losing my mind. It makes me lose all motivation, dip into depression, and when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, the despair is so heavy I've genuinely thought about ending it all more times than I can count.
The last time I actually sat in a dentist's chair was back in middle school. I bolted from the chair then, and I haven't had the guts to walk into an office since—even though my parents and family have been begging me to go, warning me that I’m going to lose everything if I don't.
It’s just so hard right now. I feel so guilty and pathetic, and I can't even put it into words. Living a life where you can't smile, where you constantly have to hide your mouth and worry about people seeing your teeth while you talk, is incredibly pointless and mentally draining.
As things got worse, it became even harder to find the courage to see a professional. Now, I'm actually ashamed to let a dentist even look inside my mouth. I'm terrified of being judged and I can't stop wondering what they'll think of me as a person.
Quality of life? It's a mess. I avoid going out at night, skip hanging out during the day or in the sunlight, and my self-confidence is basically zero...
I can't live like this anymore, but I have no clue what to do. I don't even know how far gone it is or if anything can be saved. I keep telling myself there's no hope, but the shame keeps me from even going in to get an estimate on how much time and money it would take to finally smile again and live normally.
I thought about posting a photo so you guys could see, but I just can't do that publicly. I'd be happy to send one via DM, though, and I'd be so grateful if a doctor or dentist could take a look, since I noticed some dental pros lurking around here.

One last thing.
Guys, please take care of your teeth. You have no idea how much you can ruin your entire life if you end up like me.
Best,

Man, you've gotta find that courage. Honestly? Go see your primary care doctor first, explain what's going on, and maybe get some anti-anxiety meds to help you through it. Just go get it fixed. You're going to feel like a whole new person once it's over. Trust me, dentists see broken teeth all day long—you aren't some special case to them.
