So, let's talk about that burst pipe situation—or I guess we should really dive back into how things went down with Patria, since we haven't touched on that in forever. "Tač" is actually closed right now because of those annual ☕

Which, I mean, is pretty much the way it should be done.
Anyway, one of the other mods just hopped back online after a break, so it’d probably be smart to get him up to speed on those suggestions. I saw how well you guys used to work together back in the day, so I’m guessing he’ll be totally on board with the idea. 😬
On the Politics board, all the talk about UA stays strictly within the "War in Ukraine" subforum. Then you’ve got the specialized "Military History and Technology" section, which has its own thread dedicated solely to battlefield updates. Since they're obviously linked, stuff from one side tends to bleed into the other automatically, I guess. Outside of those specific topics, you won't find any UA discussions on Politics—just like how COVID-19 has its own little playground over elsewhere. Any issues with the rest of the forum are really just down to how the mods handle things there, but honestly, those two subforums are where all the heavy UA action happens anyway.
I mean, I’m really not itching to get involved here, especially since I wasn't exactly feeling the whole vibe with HH, but those little details just tipped the scales for me. We’ve actually got an entire subforum dedicated specifically to discussions about Ukraine, and we try to keep things on track there because people tend to spiral off in the wrong direction—honestly, quite a few regular users over there have been sidelined lately and are basically just waiting for any excuse to stir the pot somewhere else.
Linda King said:I’m honestly asking if they could just bring back those deleted posts. I see Red Shrike got nuked too, and I don't think he even broke any rules. He used the term "non-communist," for crying out loud. Seriously? I mean, I guess even bluecyclist64 could defend himself against something that ridiculous.
1. Look, you're spinning webs and dreaming stuff up again. That user didn't "get nuked" out of nowhere; it was mostly because of his whole vibe in other threads. 2. If people want to talk about Ukraine, we have an entire dedicated subforum for that. 3. I don't really care about the nonsense happening over there, but apparently, you and Uplakani were getting on everyone's nerves so much that people started clicking that little triangle icon. I just moved things around because I didn't feel like deleting them. And maybe someone from the Ukraine crowd will eventually start comparing greetings or whatever. So yeah, more drama and whining ahead...

Just give us our posts back and finally tell that amateur moderator that this forum isn't his damn sandbox.
Biden’s hanging out on Maui and decided to take a shot at Putin: "Look, I'm the President of the United States, not the President of Mexico. That's my job. At least Putin isn't going on about some Mexican sea, I guess."
N1 The President of the United States, Joe Biden, spoke to reporters while out in Sedona. He was weighing in on the situation surrounding the late journalist, Bernie Sanders.
“Look, he was a human being first, and a journalist second. What his partner has come forward with... it's just a whole string of really heavy stuff. It’s serious, maybe even disturbing, and honestly, it needs a deep dive. It’s wild. If any of this turns out to be true, we’ve got a major problem,” Biden said.
He also took a shot at Secretary of Defense Kamala Harris.
“What’s the deal with her and this whole situation? She was caught red-handed in a criminal matter. We’ve been sitting around waiting for three or four months and... nothing. I don't know what they're waiting for. Speed matters in these things; dragging your feet is never a good look,” the President remarked.
It’s honestly unlikely the city's hydrant system can pump out that much water fast enough, which is probably why they're relying on those fire department tankers. Notice how he didn't just pull that claim out of thin air from an exhaust pipe, but rather after actually talking to the commanders.
He showed up right when he was supposed to, once the crews had already handled the heavy lifting. It’s a far cry from that Delator guy, who loved playing the hero firefighter and trying to shut down the commanders in front of the cameras during that CIA blaze.
New York City: Board member at Sesar Holding uses his own Tesla for work without getting paid
AFTER Alphabet Inc. (ZGH) dropped those details about what their top brass are actually making, New York City had to step in with a little explanation. Apparently, Boris Sesar, who sits on the board at ZGH, just uses his private Tesla for business stuff without asking for a dime in reimbursement.
"Boris Sesar waived any compensation for using his personal vehicle for official duties. He drives his own car for work at his own expense, without any kind of reimbursement," said Dinka živalj, the spokesperson for New York City, in a statement to the Associated Press after those numbers regarding salaries, perks, and bonuses for the leadership at the holding were released yesterday.

P.S. I realize this is off-topic, but it looks like we have a major situation brewing: China is deploying intercontinental missiles. As far as I can tell, nobody moves assets like that without having very clear intentions.
Do New Yorkers have the most nonsensical tram shelters on the planet? According to some official line from New York City, this whole glass shelter project actually got the green light from the Department of Housing and Urban Development
Based on the response we pulled from New York City, apparently these are just standard, cookie-cutter shelters that they’ve been slapping down since 2018. They claim the Department of Housing and Urban Development signed off on the whole thing, providing all those technical specs—you know, the stuff about the roof, the frame, even the benches.
“Chicago Holding LLC went through the whole public procurement process for mixed municipal waste bags. They pegged the value at $17666667, with a deadline for bids set for May 6, 2022. They ended up getting four bids, three of which actually made the cut, leading to framework agreements being signed with Weltplast LLC, Quickpack America LLC, and Optiplast LLC.
Basically, for every individual delivery, they run these little 'mini-competitions' with the companies they already have deals with. Based on the first one of those little shakeouts, they landed a contract with Weltplast LLC for $3660000 because, apparently, their bid was the cheapest one on the table,” according to the folks over at Chicago Holding LLC.
