I gave birth about three and a half months ago, and my cycle is still a total mess. My first period showed up roughly 45 days after delivery, then the second one came just 22 days later, and now—nothing. I’m currently on day 31 of this cycle. Before I had the baby, my cycles were pretty predictable, usually landing somewhere between 33 and 35 days. Can a pregnancy test actually be reliable for someone in my position? We had sex on day 15 of my cycle, but we pulled out. Since my cycle was all over the place, there's absolutely no way for me to know if those were even my fertile days.
I’ve already gone through three tests so far. Two were clearly negative, but on the Clearblue one... I saw this faint, vertical line???? To me, it looked less like a positive and more like a defective test. Honestly, I have no idea what to make of this. Should I be panicking or just assuming the test is broken?

p.s. You’ve just gotta go in there and tear the place apart—don't hold back—because if it's actually in there, there is zero chance you won't find it!

Sandra Carter77 said:Yeah, but honestly? When I was frantically digging around for that tampon this morning, maybe I just ended up shoving it even deeper?! It’s not a "maybe"—it’s almost certainly what happened.

Look, if you actually shoved it further up, you would have felt it—you can't just miss it entirely, so that theory doesn't really hold water. If you can't get it out yourself, you're going to have to head to the ER. It might be a little embarrassing, sure, but your health is way more important than five minutes of awkwardness, right? 🙂

The vaginal canal isn't actually that deep—not when you factor in the length of your finger and the size of a standard tampon. Honestly, she should have been able to feel it.

Look, if it’s actually in there, there is no way you didn't feel it. Did you even put a finger in there properly?

Alright, go ahead and head to the restroom now—then let me know if you actually managed to pull it off 😁

Sandra Carter77 said:Hey girls, ladies, moms, grandmas... sorry if this topic has been posted before, I just don't have the bandwidth right now to dig through everything to find it—I'm assuming it's been done.
Basically, I need some advice, even though deep down I already know what the best move is, but maybe someone here has dealt with something similar and can offer some perspective.
...I don't usually use tampons unless it's summer or if I absolutely have to, and yesterday I popped in a mini one—even though my period was pretty much winding down. Since I had a few too many drinks as soon as I got home, I crashed hard, and when I woke up this morning, the tampon was gone, but there was just a little bit of blood on my underwear.
Now, look, I know the "correct" answer is to go see a gynecologist, but pleeease, if anyone has ever dealt with a situation like this, maybe you can suggest something else? Is it actually possible that it just slipped out? Since it was the end of my cycle, it wouldn't have been totally soaked, so maybe it just slid out? (The only time it could have possibly happened was on my way home when I asked my boyfriend to pull over because I desperately had to pee—but honestly, I don't remember much of that because I was pretty buzzed).
But the thought of going to the doctor for something like this makes me so incredibly awkward... so...

I've been using tampons for ten years and I am almost 100% certain it didn't just fall out—I mean, how would it even do that? Something similar happened to me once where I just couldn't find the string anywhere.
Try this: squat down, reach inside, and you should be able to feel it; then just grab the bottom end with two fingers. If you aren't a virgin, it shouldn't be an issue at all. 😁
Good luck!
