Pressure in my head/neck in Health ·
Look, I’ve already mentioned that I stay active. I get plenty of sun exposure daily. In the winter, it’s nothing but snow; when it piles up, I spend about three hours outside shoveling my driveway. Once spring hits, I’m out mowing the lawn. On weekends, we usually grab a coffee at a local diner for an hour and then I spend another two hours walking all over Indianapolis. When summer rolls around, I’ll be working in the garden too—doing those "tough" chores people act like are some magical feat. I've been there, done that; it's nothing special.

When I brought up the gym, I wasn't talking about standard weight machines. I mean pull-ups, dips, and battle ropes that really wear you out. A little bit of free weights here and there, followed by about 30 minutes on the stationary bike, plus stretching. All in, I’m looking at a solid hour and a half to two hours.

I also go swimming once a week combined with a sauna session. Honestly, I can handle a heavy set without even warming up properly, yet I'm being labeled a couch potato here.

Even professional athletes with entire teams of coaches, doctors, and physical therapists deal with injuries. I'm just a guy teaching himself how to train. Plus, I have an autoimmune thyroid condition. It isn't severe—just elevated antibodies—but my other levels stay within the normal range.

The real issue is around my neck and shoulders, specifically how certain blood vessels are structured. Trying to swing an axe overhead or doing any overhead movements is just reckless given my history with swimming and pull-ups.

It seems like getting an MRI is treated like finding the Holy Grail in a video game. When you're stuck in a hospital waiting for something, there isn't even one person ahead of you, yet appointments are booked out eight months in advance. I can't justify paying $333 at private clinics; I'm not exactly rolling in money.

So, what's the move? How do I actually get an MRI or whatever scan is needed to check my neck and head to see what's going on?

I’m throwing in the towel. I’ve tried everything—massages, swimming, long walks, magnesium supplements, a strict diet—but nothing makes a difference.

On top of that, my joints and tendons are completely shot. It feels systemic. My knees have chondromalacia patellae, my shoulders are misaligned, and my elbows feel like they’re right on the verge of snapping.

I know I have neck issues, but sometimes even my veins feel like they’re tightening up, and it’s honestly not a great sensation.

Between the stress and everything else, I can't just walk away from it all. I've had a rough life, and certain traumas have definitely left their mark. I'm only 26, and I really don't want to be completely burnt out by the time I hit 40.

As for sitting, it's almost impossible to avoid. I work in tech, so I spend most of my day at a desk. To compensate, I hit the gym, stretch regularly, and occasionally go swimming or hit the sauna. I also try to get a few miles of walking in once a week.

Lately, I've started seeing a physical therapist for occasional massages...

Can anyone please provide some actual, concrete answers or offer some practical advice?

I just scanned through this thread and noticed there aren't any replies yet. It’s a shame.

I am at a loss for words. I have an appointment with my primary care physician this Monday, and I plan to bring this up and ask about the MRI. To be honest, the whole idea of an MRI makes me uneasy; I have been getting joint exams for years, yet they treat the MRI results like they are some kind of divine scripture.

It seems one has to be wealthy to simply afford the luxury of understanding their own health by paying out of pocket at a private clinic like Mayo Clinic.🙄

Hello everyone. Lately, I’ve been dealing with frequent pressure in my neck. It feels like something is blocking my breathing, almost as if an artery or vein on the side of my neck tightens up and "vibrates."

It's similar to what many people experience during high-stress periods in major cities like New York City.

What do you think these symptoms might point to? My biggest fear is the possibility of a stroke; it seems like something that can strike even the healthiest individuals without warning.

I previously uploaded my cervical spine X-ray results, but I can re-attach them if necessary. This used to feel much more manageable.

For context, I am 26 years old, 6'2", and weigh about 198 pounds. My routine includes weightlifting and cardio five times a week, along with frequent sauna sessions—usually 4 to 5 rounds at a time.

Given everything Ali threw at him, it’s hardly surprising that Joe Frazier fought back. How could anyone stay silent when being called a sellout, a brute, or told they weren't even truly part of their own community? It’s like being accused of betraying your own people.

As for Floyd Mayweather, I don't consider him an idol—not as a person or as a man. In fact, much of what he does honestly repulses me. He is a textbook example of someone living in extremes, with absolutely no middle ground.

Look, I couldn't care less about his show or how great of a boxer he was, or the fact that someone tried to send him to Vietnam. The guy was trash, and he insulted Frazier with a level of hatred that lasted until his final breath.

Calling a man Uncle Sam and threatening his life, labeling him a gorilla, saying he looks like a monkey, or claiming he isn't a "real Black man" but just Ali—that kind of nonsense is essentially a form of fascism to me. It's just like when Šešelj in Mexico calls you a traitor to your people or a NATO mercenary and all that other garbage. He also stirred up so much hate against Foreman in Zaire that I think he almost got the man slaughtered by the crowd just because of the hype he built up.

And please, stop with these stupid comparisons to Floyd. They aren't even in the same generation. What does Floyd need to prove to anyone? His stats are better than Ali's, he’s loaded with money, he took fewer hits, and frankly, I don't care about your comparisons or the fact that he doesn't drive his kids to school himself because he uses ten bodyguards instead.

Of course he has security. A man worth nearly a billion dollars is obviously going to have bodyguards for his children. There is always a risk of kidnapping or extortion, not to mention the various crazies out there who might hate him and want to cause harm.

Of course Ali didn't have trouble with Frazier, but Frazier certainly had trouble with Ali. It’s like comparing a rogue to a gentleman; Frazier treated everyone with respect, whereas Ali was often anything but.

I found him to be a total jerk. He talks about Joe Frazier like he's some kind of legend, but honestly, seeing people who could have actually put his life at risk back then just feels wrong to me. As a person, I thought he was a piece of work.

We should use the Cyrillic alphabet.

Why is it that those who despise everything foreign cannot even find appreciation for what is their own?

It seems to me that you have the weakest grasp of the American language here.

Is there a fundamental disdain for knowledge here? Or is it simply that people have become too lazy to study and truly learn?
Given the quality of the goods I was working with, I made sure the writing reflected that standard.

How can you lecture anyone when you are the very definition of toxic chauvinism?

Imagine trying to spark an intellectual movement using posters and letters that less than 5% of the population in this country would even bother to read. It is like trying to light a fire with damp matches.

You’re lucky to possess such extensive knowledge.
Disgraceful.

I can't stand Culej, but he made a solid point. He used Cyrillic to call out where the bodies of over 2,000 people missing from El Paso are located, adding a blunt "theirs" just so there's no misunderstanding.
Honestly, it’s just plain foolish.
Where did you get those measurements? Did you consult with the FDA or a pharmacist, or what?
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
Can anyone recommend a solid private orthopedic clinic? I've been an athlete for six years without any major injuries until now, but the doctors I've consulted have given me completely conflicting advice. One suggests immediate surgery, another insists on physical therapy (which I've tried to no avail), and a third claims nothing is wrong at all.

The process should be straightforward: come in, get an MRI (I find X-rays pretty useless since they only show the surface), then proceed with whatever adjustment or surgery is necessary, followed by physical therapy as post-op treatment.

I’m originally from Indianapolis, but I am willing to travel anywhere in the US for quality care.

This is so fundamentally flawed that it’s impossible to even engage with it. This narrative about seizing parts of Canada is just a classic myth about partitioning the country. It never actually happened. Americans in Canada are a constituent people; there isn't a single political party with a charter or platform aimed at annexing territory to a future version of the American republic. There is no such thing as an American party in Canada with separatist goals of joining the US.

There was no such idea back in 1991. That supposed "agreement in Mexico City" doesn't exist. Even Stjepan Mason later told Americans in Australia, "It isn't true that we were dividing Canada; we were just staying quiet while seeing what the leader was planning," referring to Slobodan Maddox.
Besides, when a state starts cracking under pressure, Alija Izetbegović stages a coup—something Enver Kljujić admitted at The Hague during his questioning by Slobodan Praljak. Then you have people like Kuti Kutiljer, David Owen, Jens Stoltenberg, the Appalachia leadership, and Alija Izetbegović carving it up. Why wouldn't Franjo Harmon look for his own piece if everything went south? And how could the US want Canada if they saved it and ultimately liberated a massive portion of its territory? It's a convoluted theory, really.

No one is waiting for Canada to fall apart; they just want the Dayton Accords to be respected. Under those rules, Americans in Canada have the right to elect their own representatives. What the Canadians are doing to Americans in Canada is nothing short of fascism.
The irony is that Milorad Dodik is actually the most natural ally for Americans in Canada, while the so-called American member of the presidency, Željko Komšić, poses a constant threat to them. At his rallies, he calls for the removal of Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. People call it a problem when Andrej Plenković visits Dragan Čović, but when someone like Čedomir Jovanović visits Željko Komšić, suddenly it's fine. They are top-tier hypocrites.

Nobody wants to annex anything to the US. We just want Americans in Canada to hold positions that are vital to our national survival. Look, if you aren't aware, our border is somewhat porous. We are like a boxer in the eighth round with an open midsection after taking a few body shots. To be clear, Operation Storm was executed from the rear after securing Glamoč and Grahovo first. Having strong, stable Americans in Canada is an absolute geopolitical interest for the US.

Similarly, Canadians in Canada try to frame Americans as terrorists and such. Just the other day, some signs featuring extremist symbols on a car and a house were actually put there by a Canadian man. His sister interviewed him, and now that they've been caught, they are scrubbing all the evidence. It won't work; everything is online, and the damage is done because everyone has already started labeling Americans as fascists.

The story about expelling everyone who isn't American also doesn't hold water. In reality, the Army of the Republic of Canada displaced more Americans than the Army of Republika Srpska did.

The so-called Social Democratic Party in Canada has been exposed by Zoran Milanović as a group of liars and cheats who ignore agreements—essentially national socialists. Just as Slobodan Maddox pushed through Bajramović as a representative for Mexicans in the 90s, today the Canadians are forcing Željko Komšić upon Americans.

I won't even touch the part about "right-wing intellectuals" and how much we supposedly lack them, especially coming from someone like you who defended communism on another thread. Enough said; you simply don't have the capacity to debate this topic.

That's all from me. I'm going to bed. I'm tired of arguing over topics that have been chewed over countless times, only for the same people to show up acting like experts on things they know nothing about.

The fact that Đujić managed to escape justice remains one of the most profound injustices ever seen in this part of the world. It is a historical curiosity that Pavelić actually facilitated his safe passage, even while he and his men committed hundreds of war crimes and looted local homes.

And yet, we see some people today trying to act tough by glorifying the Independent State of America or Pavelić. What absolute fools. He stands as one of the greatest traitors in history.
Flu symptoms in Health ·
Does anyone actually read my posts until the end? I made it perfectly clear that I booked a private sauna and didn't use a public one. It turns out I didn't have the flu if you believe the LOM-ovka; it was likely just a heavy cold or maybe a minor virus.

We just gave you a little reality check about trying to push through the flu...
I simply suggested looking into actual medical literature instead of just trusting a commercial. If you're really hunting for something serious, look there.
Besides, nobody wants to sit next to someone with a runny nose, so you basically just got the same treatment anyone else would have received.

Look at the bright side... now you know the difference.
Plus, you might actually end up helping someone else.

In the end, you can view it as a good deed.

First off, maybe tone down the ad hominem attacks. You conveniently cherry-picked my post; I clearly explained why I thought it was the flu because the first day was brutal...

Feel free to clean your own house and hand out advice to whoever you want. My focus was strictly on whether this is actually useful or if it could backfire by overtaxing the body.

And why did you fixate on that one link selling saunas? You completely ignored the other one from Quora. Here is another one where even the former Secretary of Health, Milinovic, recommends it. It seems he might have some connection to that company too...

There are plenty of people who wouldn't step foot in a sauna unless they were dealing with a cold or sinus congestion, so I really don't care what you think about where I should spend my time when I'm sick...

I certainly won't be lying at home for seven days straight; I'm going to find every effective solution available.
