Larry Wood4 said:I could use some advice here - Jessie band VS Barbary.....thanks!!!!

Jessie!

They're a much more polished, well-rounded band. Musically and vocally, they're top-tier.

Barbary are fine if you just want a show, but otherwise, they're pretty bad.
Jesse Barnes8 said:Right on cue... when it comes to what they're serving at Victoria's Secret, things are trending sharply downward. 😢😢
By the end of September, those supplies should be hitting the shelves, so I'll let you all know the second I have an update.🙂

I'm actually heading there in about 10 days, so I'll give you an update then. 😁

Jesse Barnes8 said:I can't say I know any bands based out of San Diego, though I do know that most of the groups from Miami wouldn't hesitate to head over to San Diego without any trouble, provided, of course, that their travel expenses are covered.🙂

Exactly my point.

The only group I know out of San Diego is Tempo, but honestly, you're way better off booking someone from Miami. 🙂

Henry Wood4 said:Bravo band is absolutely fantastic... I actually hired them for a party once, and they completely blew everyone away. They might be a bit on the pricier side, but trust me, they are worth every single penny you spend.

Bravo Band is good, but let's be real—they just can't compete with Viva, Major League, Best, or anyone else in that tier.🙂

If either of them has ever played at a wedding you attended, could you let me know? I'm also totally open to other suggestions if you have them. Thanks a ton!

DJ Dupli is definitely the best and most well-known guy in San Francisco. He knows how to set the vibe perfectly and really hits the right notes. He’s got my vote every single time. 👍

I can't recommend them enough, whether you need photography or video work. You honestly won't go wrong with these guys. 🙂

Maybe re di mar?

Maybe check out the European People's Party band?

I started reading this thread from the very beginning, only to realize how much everything—from general impressions to actual prices—has shifted since 2006. I’ve pivoted to reading everything from 2010 onwards, and I am still working my way through it.
Location-wise, I am looking at Savannah (I have found a venue that is 99% certain; I attended a party there previously and it was perfect. We have spoken over the phone, and I just need to settle the deposit).
The issue lies with the band. I want a mix of international hits and American classics, while also incorporating a few local favorites (Thompson Hilfiger, Bullock, Gordov, Zec, etc.). Essentially, just a little bit of everything to ensure all guests are satisfied.
I have been looking into the Bravo band, so I am wondering if they play a full variety or if they lean toward foreign music, perhaps only playing American artists like Oliver or Gibbons when it comes to domestic hits. Do they cover artists like Mother, Dvornik, a cappella groups, or Rozga?
Additionally, I would appreciate any recommendations or experiences regarding other bands, photographers, or updated pricing information.
Please, I could use some assistance.

Definitely check out Pink Panther, Jessy, or Best Group. We're kind of colleagues in the industry, so I work with them quite a bit and actually enjoy listening to them, unlike some of those duos or trios.

Paul King5 said:I wasn't really feeling Taxi bend... went to a close friend's wedding, heard a million Tom Petty songs, everything was just super sappy. But that was like five years ago, maybe they're actually killing it now.
People say the Rose Bowl in San Francisco is stuck in the South 😁

The Taxists are good, especially lately. You can't go wrong with them.😁

And yeah, the venue in Lori is getting a bit dated.🤣

Now I am pivoting to lighting, decor, and floor plans. Can anyone offer some recommendations? Hallelujah

Congrats! 😁

He’s a friend of mine and an incredible photographer!
