Arthur Hill2 said:Lin under 21

I wonder which sportsbook this is from? Personally, I took the under 19.5 at Supersport.🙂

Just being a bit silly, I suppose; I’ve spent my whole life rooting for Jeremy Lin as the main man, and then suddenly the NBA rules decide he's just a supporting character.😵
Well, there you have it—just a little insight into me and my questionable basketball expertise.🤣
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Dirk Nowitzki finished the half with 21 points 🙏 , which feels like it

Jeremy Lin had 11 points plus 4 personal fouls... I'm really hoping he stays out of trouble after what happened last time
Amar'e is struggling a bit right now, but I am still holding onto hope that he pulls through

but the real star of the evening is definitely
Deron Williams 🙏 x100 times over
shooting 8/13 from the field, 8/10 from the line, and adding 6 assists on top of that.

Arthur Hill2 said:Sean Sullivan87, I suppose it’s quite clear that my excitement stems from the passing of the single rather than any actual injury, though I must say, you were rather bold to go ahead and edit my post like that.🙂

A little bit of lighthearted joking and some well-intentioned teasing at this late hour couldn't possibly hurt anyone... I don't see any reason to get worked up about it.

-------
I suppose if I were to look at the matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland, I might lean toward the Lakers at 1.60, though it feels like a bit of a toss-up depending on how you view their current momentum.
I suppose if we are looking at the matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Washington Wizards, there might be some value in considering the Phoenix Suns at 1.50. It feels like one of those games where you have to weigh the possibilities quite carefully, but I guess the odds seem to lean a certain way.
I suppose I might lean toward the idea that Amar'e Stoudemire will come in under 19.5 points, though I can't say for certain given how things tend to fluctuate. It feels like a possibility, I guess.

I suppose we're looking at odds around 4.44, if my math serves me correctly. It’s quite a substantial number, isn't it? I guess one might say it offers a certain level of intrigue, though I'll admit I'm feeling somewhat cautious about it. Maybe there's something to be found there, but I'm inclined to tread carefully.

I might give this one a shot as well, though I have to say, those odds for the Los Angeles Lakers seem surprisingly high to me. I suppose they're likely pricing it that way because of their supposedly "poor" recent form, even though they've actually managed to pull off four wins in their last four games at home.

I suppose finding some joy in someone else's misfortune 🤷🤣 is just how things go sometimes; honestly, I feel a bit of relief myself, since I actually have him on my roster 😉

Nicholas Chase34 said:I’m leaning toward Amar'e Stoudemire under 19.5 at 1.85, if I had to make a call right now. It feels like a reasonable play, though I suppose there's always that lingering uncertainty with players of his caliber.

I am following you, I think you understand me.😉

I suppose I might add my own two cents to the conversation...

I suppose I’m leaning toward the idea that Jeremy Lin might come in under 19.5 points, maybe with those odds sitting around 1.85. It feels like one of those situations where you have to be quite careful with how you read the momentum, but my gut tells me the under might be the more measured play here.
He really is a remarkable player; I must say, I am personally quite impressed by just how much guts the guy shows on the court.🙏 I suppose there’s a certain sense that once the momentum shifts, things might just fall apart, but I can't help but feel like Carmelo Anthony is due for a massive comeback. It feels almost inevitable that he’ll be forcing things today, though I find myself feeling a bit conflicted about him being included in the betting options at all. If he were playing a bit less, perhaps the dynamic would shift, especially since we have Amar'e Stoudemire and that fourth guy—that newcomer—waiting in the wings. To be honest, everything about this lineup makes me lean toward the under. Looking back at the last seven or eight games, it seems like almost every single one went over, with only one exception. Please, feel free to correct me if my reasoning is off.

I suppose one might consider looking at Dirk Nowitzki at over 23.5, perhaps with odds around 1.85.
It seems to me, perhaps I'm just imagining things, but he appears to be finding his rhythm again; it feels like he might finally be returning to his old form, especially after those recent rough nights.🤷I suppose he could easily drop thirty-plus points tonight, if I had to guess... maybe even more.

I suppose we’re looking at odds around 6.33, if I'm reading that correctly. It feels like quite a long shot, doesn't it? I guess one could argue there might be some value there, though I'm inclined to be cautious. Maybe, just maybe, it's worth a look, but I'd certainly hesitate before jumping in blindly.

"Well, I suppose I’ll still be the one taking that final shot when things get intense. That last-second attempt should probably belong to me. It’s what I’ve been doing for years now, and if I do say so myself, I think I handle it quite well," LeBron said.

Look, I have nothing against LeBron—the guy certainly has guts, I'll give him that—but let's be honest, Melo is still the king here. 😉

Two specific moments have always stayed etched in my mind... I believe they both happened back in 1999. First, there was that intense Yankees-Red Sox matchup ending in a 1-1 draw, where I remember Jack Nicholson getting hit by a pretty brutal slide tackle in the 92nd minute... and then there was Joe Montana stepping up to convert that penalty in December. They were truly one-of-a-kind moments... just two instances of pure, unbridled madness 🙏

Ron Artest offering fashion advice to Jeremy Lin 🙄

"No, I don't personally wear them, but he really ought to. He seems like the kind of guy who should be rocking leather pants and some sharp sneakers. You're Jeremy Lin, for goodness sake! You know what I mean? You follow me? Put down those legal textbooks, stop reading the New York Times, and start picking up the Daily News. I've always found those papers much more appealing because they're just so full of color. What else... oh, right, try wearing your cap backward. Show up to practice in some oversized baggy pants and just say, 'I'm not really feeling practice today,' you know? Practice? And maybe throw on an Iverson jersey. Just roll up to training with a cigar in your mouth and declare, 'I am Jeremy Lin!' A little change is necessary." Otherwise, everyone is pretty hyped for the game. Even Kobe Bryant is excited. He's looking to drop 50! He wants to welcome Jeremy to the next level of basketball !"

The night ended: Jeremi 38 vs Bryant 34

I find this Artest absolutely insufferable; his arrogance is just overwhelming...

Watching Detroit right now is an absolute disaster. Honestly, I’ve been making it a point to catch one game every single night since the season kicked off, and I can't help but wonder if it's just me or if anyone else has noticed this massive dip in overall NBA quality. It feels like we aren't even watching basketball anymore... there are nights where I'll be watching a game—I might not even know who's on the floor, to be honest—and for some reason, maybe four minutes pass without a single basket being made. It's just baffling. We're talking about elite athletes here, guys pulling in $10 million a year, yet they struggle to find the rim like that.🙂 Ugh, and now this Detroit squad is driving me absolutely crazy.

If you bet on the under, it feels like they always go over, and when you play the over, they usually end up missing one🙂. I might have to go see a psychic at a roadside clinic in Vegas😍

Call him right now so you can make it to Miami by 1 o'clock 😂

The assholes over at SS didn't want to include Jeremy Lin in the props... I'd honestly be curious to see what the margin would have looked like there.

I'm taking Dallas, and I really like the Griffin-Nowitzki 2 1.70 matchup.

Between the Lakers, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, the Orlando Magic, and Portland, I suppose half the league deserves 🙂

I have to hand it to this little guy, Jeremiah; he certainly has the guts to say what's on his mind.

New Jersey Nets vs Detroit Pistons
Detroit @ 1.75 - 9/10 - Pinnacle
Detroit -8.5 @ 3.3
- 1/10 - DraftKings

There is something I am wondering about... you have laid everything out quite nicely here, and I suppose I will follow along with these picks, but I am a bit confused. Major sportsbooks like DraftKings and others have access to all this same information, yet they are still offering odds of 1.75. It doesn't seem to make much sense to me, and I can't help but feel like there might be something fishy going on. I mean, these betting houses aren't exactly foolish; based on this analysis of Detroit, an odd of 1.40 would practically be a gift, so why are they sitting at 1.75?🤷 😲

It looks like we aren't seeing much from Chris Paul tonight... we're halfway through the second quarter and he's only managed two baskets on a 1-for-5 shooting night.🙂

EDIT: Actually, hang on, he might be heating up—just hit four.

"Dirk Nowitzki: I don't deserve an All-Star selection..."

The article mentions that fans are actually allowed to cast their votes, which makes me wonder if that's also how things work over here in the States—does anyone know if we can vote and where exactly we go to do that?

Arthur Hill2 said:I suppose if I had to make a call on this one, I might lean toward the idea that the Chicago Bulls could cover a spread of -8.5, though I'm really trying not to be too certain about it. It feels like one of those situations where you have to weigh a lot of different factors, but perhaps there's enough momentum there to justify looking at them in that light.

It seems like the Brooklyn Nets are going to be facing some significant challenges, especially considering they’ll be playing without Robin Lopez, Zoran Okur, Stevenson, and Jordan Morrow, not to mention the absence of Brooks. I suppose it's going to be quite an uphill battle for them given those roster gaps. I believe he was the one who received permission to take some time off due to a death in the family.

It seems like the Chicago Bulls have managed to get Luol Deng back into the rotation, which is certainly a boost for them, though I suppose my only lingering concern might be that they're facing the Brooklyn Nets—a matchup that historically hasn't gone particularly well for Chicago.

I suppose one might consider taking a chance on Deron Williams going over his projected stats, especially since he seems to be the only truly capable player left on that roster right now..

I suppose if we're looking ahead to the matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and the Chicago Bulls, there's quite a bit to consider regarding how both squads are shaping up. It feels like one of those games where you have to weigh the individual matchups very carefully, as neither side seems to have a definitive edge that jumps out immediately. I guess you could argue that the momentum might swing toward one side or the other depending on how the rotation settles in, though it’s hard to say for certain without seeing how they handle the pace. Maybe the Bulls find a way to control the tempo, or perhaps the Nets manage to disrupt their rhythm early on. It’s a bit of a toss-up, really, but I'll be watching closely to see which direction this one leans.
I’ve been looking closely at the upcoming matchup, and if I had to make a call, I think I’d lean toward the Chicago Bulls covering that -8.5 spread. It feels like one of those games where the momentum might just swing heavily in their direction, though I suppose there’s always a chance things could go sideways. Still, my gut tells me Chicago is going to pull this one out by a decent margin.

I suppose the odds are sitting at around 1.87, if I'm reading that correctly.

Log entry: May 10th.

I suppose it’s fairly obvious to anyone paying attention that the Chicago Bulls are a significantly better squad than the Brooklyn Nets. It seems like common knowledge at this point, doesn't it? It seems like there might be some questions regarding whether Derrick Rose will suit up for tonight's game, but from what I gather, he actually intends to play despite dealing with some pain.It seems that the only injury on the Chicago Bulls roster right now is Carmelo Anthony.

I have a quick question for Arthur Hill2 and James Taylor3... I’ve been following your moves for a while now, and since you've been more or less successful so far, I suppose there isn't really any reason why tonight shouldn't be the same.

If I’m looking at this from a casual observer's perspective, I suppose the home team is currently struggling with four players missing from their rotation. It seems like Deron Williams is really the only legitimate threat left on the floor, and since he usually puts up around 20 points, my gut feeling is that almost everything is going to flow through him tonight. Given that, I wonder if hitting the over might be a realistic play here. I noticed they set the margin at 21, which feels a bit strange to me, though I could be mistaken.

It seems like the Chicago Bulls might end up breaking up the Brooklyn Nets roster quite soon. I suppose Derrick Rose is dealing with a bit of an injury issue—maybe James Taylor3 is onto something there? If the Bulls manage to grab a lead of, say, 15 points, I really don't see any reason why they would continue to push Rose so hard. In my estimation, he’ll likely see about a 30% reduction in his minutes. Plus, with Luol Deng making his return to the lineup, it feels like Rose might naturally take fewer shots. Honestly, looking at him lately, does he even look like he's under 25 anymore?

Thank you.
