Hey silvercanyon7, I am so incredibly sorry. These moments suck so much—losing people we love is just brutal, but that love stays with you forever.
Lily, I am so incredibly sorry. I know you’re going through it right now, but we just have to hold onto hope and believe our loved ones are in a better place now.
Taylor Jackson14, I am so incredibly sorry. I know exactly how much this hurts. I’d give anything for just one more moment with him, too. I really like to believe he’s in a better place now and that we'll cross paths again someday.
Lisa White54, so glad you checked in with the good news. Fingers crossed for those test results!
Hey Jane Doe, I’m so sorry to hear about your dad’s diagnosis. I don't know a ton about that specific condition, but I've seen people on Reddit talk about getting really solid care here, so I'm rooting for him to pull through this. I know things are rough right now, but wishing you guys nothing but strength and luck for everything ahead.
Hey Lisa White54, I know this waiting game is driving you absolutely insane. I'm pulling for you and really hope everything turns out okay.
You’ve got plenty of info right here if you actually bother to look at the previous posts. Honestly, that propolis, the beet and carrot juice, and the beta-glucan are all solid, but don't go overboard with it. Just pick a few of those supplements and see what works for Dad without upsetting his stomach. Hoping for the best for him.
Angela Wright, honestly, reading what you wrote brings me some kind of peace in all this sadness. When my dad first got sick, I was constantly at church praying for him to get better. As things got worse, I went back and just asked the Virgin Mary to do whatever she thought was best for him (I’ll admit, I’m not exactly a regular churchgoer). Not long after that, he passed away. I spent so much time blaming myself—wondering what kind of person I was, knowing how much he loved life. I felt so selfish, like I just couldn't take the pain anymore, or like I hadn't prayed hard enough. I just wanted to say that your perspective actually helped me a little.
mistyjackal842, I'm 100% with you on this. Honestly, the way they’re reaching out to you during such a brutal time just proves they're guilty. You should definitely take action—I know it won't bring your mom back, but those people need to pay.
I totally get where you're coming from, mistyjackal842. Nothing is ever going to make up for what you and your dad went through. Just do whatever you feel is right, but they should be ashamed of themselves. I really hope they get what's coming to them.
mistyjackal842, I know things are brutal right now and nothing can bring Mom back, but honestly? You need to report this and go public. This is absolute garbage and a total disgrace!
Hey mistyjackal842, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. It’s just devastating what happened. I know things are heavy right now and words don't mean much, but try to believe your Mom is in a better place now (that's how I cope, anyway). Just stay strong like you've always been—our loved ones are watching over us now.
Angela Wright, I wasn't trying to be mean. It's just that when I almost died once, the doctors did the exact same thing—they didn't take me seriously until my Mom showed up and absolutely lost it in the hospital. Only then did they actually start doing their jobs. I'm not usually the type to make a scene; I'd much rather just settle things quietly, but clearly, that doesn't work sometimes. Unfortunately, that's just how the system works here...
I honestly don't know what smart advice I can give you, but if you've got the energy, get down to the hospital and start a massive scene. Threaten them with the news, threaten them with anything... just make sure they finally do everything in their power right now, because I truly believe Mom has a fighting chance. If you don't mind me asking, which hospital is it?
Man, mistyjackal842, what you're going through is seriously brutal. I know words don't mean much right now, but hopefully things start looking up soon. Sending strength your way for everything ahead, and hoping Mom's pain stays minimal. Hang in there!
Ashley Murphy, I am so incredibly sorry for what you and your dad are going through right now. It's honestly unbelievable how broken our healthcare system is. I actually have some Medrol left over from my own illness sitting here at home—if you need it, just let me know and I can get it to you. Really hoping your dad starts feeling better soon, and sending you all the strength in the world to get through this.
Unfortunately, I don't have a lead on a good facility either. I heard there was one near the Staples Center where people actually seemed happy, but I don't have their number to check. Maybe try searching online? Hope you find something—and seriously, I hope your Mom feels better soon. I know what it's like being the only one looking out for them, because I am too.
mistyjackal842, you'd better explain it that way to Mom. I know it’s gonna be rough on her, but make sure she understands she needs to recover there because you guys just can't handle it at home. Ask the nurses at Villa Brezovica to tell her the same thing. Let me know how it goes.
Hey mistyjackal842, glad to hear Mom is doing better. I've heard this facility is actually decent, so I think you're making the right call with it for now. Hang in there!
