Looks like they'll have to save him all over again. Only this time, Ryan will be some veteran diplomat stationed in Washington, D.C., being rescued by a grizzled Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, and the rest of the crew.
Hi there. I’m in my early 30s and looking for someone to grab a conversation with and get out of the house. A little about me: I love a good chat—whether I'm doing the talking or just listening to someone else's story. I'm big into sports, cycling, and long walks. I also enjoy a good movie, reading, and staying informed about what's happening in the world. Music-wise, I lean toward rock and indie. I'm always down to grab a bite or a drink, whether we're out and about or just sitting somewhere quiet. Personality-wise, I’m a pretty calm person. I value being honest and I’m not afraid to speak my mind, but I really dislike unnecessary drama, harsh language, or any kind of attitude. If this sounds like your speed, feel free to reach out. : ) Bye!
My plan is to catch it. I have a lot of respect for how Tom Cruise keeps jumping and running without using stunt doubles; even as he gets older, he still pushes himself, though he might rely on a bit more assistance this time around. ☕
The trailer looks pretty pathetic, but I guess they went for that vibe thinking it would grab some attention.
The real issue here is that, in my opinion, Clint just can't pull off this kind of melodrama. He has his limits when it comes to being overly emotional while still keeping the movie grounded, much like he did in Unforgiven. If you make it too sappy, it just doesn't work—he’s simply not that kind of actor.

I’m just totally over how she runs things over at John Doe and the way she keeps personally targeting me. Alright, now that we’ve finally settled on the reasoning behind why we broke everything down like that:
Look, everything the entire admin team and all those mods who banned me already know—and honestly? I’m not even going to sit here and complain about getting banned. It is what it is. Whether I agree with them or not isn't really my main concern. Honestly, I don't spend much time complaining about it because I get that sometimes you just catch a bad break. One day the call goes your way, the next day it doesn't. It’s like when you’re watching a game and someone makes a clear play that should be a penalty, but the ref lets it slide—and then later, they call a foul on a totally clean move. You just have to accept that there's a certain kind of cosmic balance at play. Everything eventually levels out. 😁 At the end of the day, this is just a damn forum—a place to hang out, debate stuff, and basically just socialize. I really don't feel like wasting my time or ruining the vibe of this space by getting into petty arguments over some cardboard. And just to be crystal clear—this isn't some petty complaint about someone getting a card or a ban. It’s really more about the way this mod is actually handling things and how they conduct themselves on the job.
I haven't even bothered complaining about those boxes from Zlee... honestly, I just couldn't care less about her or her packaging. Especially those first few shipments. Just so everyone can get a clear picture of what I’m actually talking about, I figured I should show you the nonsense my wife has been throwing at me lately:
12.04. Cardboard. Insulting other forum members - 45 points
30.04. Cardboard. Rule violation—that's a 25-point deduction.
02.09. Cardboard. Insulting other forum members - 45 points
04.09. Cardboard. Insulting other forum members - 45 points
It looks like there’s more than one version floating around—they've got stuff from her and some from the Cats too. It's like two of the exact same thing just showed up at once.
I figured I’d just put these out there so everyone can see exactly why I ended up getting flagged for "insults." Honestly, I mostly wanted to show how some woman just keeps coming at me out of nowhere—it feels like she’s got some personal vendetta against me that nobody else even understands. So, my wife managed to rack up four full boxes of points in just five months—that's 160 points total—all thanks to my constant posting over on John Doe. So, after that red card on April 30th, I honestly just lost my cool. I ended up snapping at her, telling her she needs to go find somewhere else to work through her frustrations, and then I just walked away. I haven't typed a single word on John Doe or Gossip for months now. Just to clear things up regarding why there’s such a massive gap in her posting history during that period—I haven't actually written a single post on that moderation board in months. It looks like she was a bit distracted by her summer vacation, which I suppose makes sense, but the second she got back to reality, she immediately started getting under my skin again. It’s like she didn't even need a transition period; one minute she's relaxing, and the next, she's right back to being a total headache.
Look, let's get one thing straight—I’m not about to deny Zlee her right to think I'm an idiot, a nuisance, or just plain simple-minded. She can wrap her head around whatever version of me she wants; honestly, she's more than entitled to her own opinion. Honestly, why should I even care what she thinks of me? It’s really not my problem. Look, I’m not really here to post for the sake of posting. The way I write and the stuff I share—it's not about performing for an audience. Honestly, if I were trying to impress her, or someone like her, I'd be acting a lot different. But truth be told? I couldn't care less if she likes me or falls for me or whatever. It just doesn't move the needle for me. Honestly, they’re just a non-factor in my life. Not even worth a second thought. Until they start jumping down my throat. Look, if Zlee is having a hard time separating her own personal likes and dislikes from her actual moderation duties, then she really shouldn't be stepping up to do the job. It’s just not fair to anyone else. And honestly, if she only decided to take on a moderator role because she thought it would give her some kind of status or make her feel important, then those are pretty shaky motivations to start with.
I mostly spend my time over on the politics boards, where it’s basically constant warfare over different topics every single day. Because things can spiral out of control in a split second, there are always at least two moderators on duty at any given moment to keep an eye on things. It's pretty intense, but I never deal with any disciplinary action there—the moderation style is actually quite professional and structured. But here? It feels like some random user is just using me as a punching bag to vent their own personal frustrations. Don't even go there...
What actually leads to her getting moderated over on John Doe and Gossip... I remember back in the day, maybe ten years ago, we were practically tearing each other apart right here over that exact same PDF. It was intense. For weeks—honestly, months—it was just constant fighting, heated arguments, people throwing insults around, and getting banned left and right. It all boiled down to the moderation issues. It’s honestly because every once in a while, some high-and-mighty woman shows up on this John Doe thread, convinced she’s the absolute center of the universe. She acts like she’s going to totally reshape the whole sub-forum, thinking hundreds or thousands of us ladies hang out here just for her. She thinks she can dictate what we can say, what we should talk about, or what topics are "appropriate"—as if we all live by her personal set of rules and whims. ..we've dealt with all sorts of eccentrics over the years—one lady who would shut down threads just because she couldn't stand people mentioning kids, another who took offense at something else entirely, a third who thought a certain topic was just "tacky," and so on... she wants us to chat one way, then turns around and demands we talk another way. Why do some people write certain things, or why do others use words she finds "unpleasant"? (Good grief, when I remember the names you all used to throw at the moderators... honestly, it felt like we were living in an outpatient ward at a mental hospital 🤦)..
...the bottom line of the story —after all those endless arguments and clashes that even someone like Anderson had to step into, it was decided that moderation on the John Doe thread would be much more relaxed compared to the rest of the forum. Not exactly without any rules or boundaries, but meant to be a "light" version. Over the years, that has included everything from "you idiot" and "get lost" (copyright ☕) to "screw you"... basically, typical lady behavior, right? People would fight, make up, apologize, and everything would just work... ..at least until last year, when Cats showed up and, thank heaven, told everyone to back off and took over moderating the front end of ZK. Then we were left with Zlee, who has just kept riding our backs with that condescending tone of hers. The woman actually banned a user on the John Doe thread just because she mentioned wanting to charm a celebrity like Julia Roberts 🙏 Simps, I’m talking to you—I’m fighting for you and for your freedom 😳 She gives me a warning because she doesn't like how I "jump in" to reply to another user and says she won't permit it; she gives me a strike for "insulting a member" simply because I said I was going to stir the pot regarding "ofarban Lujka." ...she ruins the Gossip for us every few days, constantly splitting things up or shutting them down because "it's not the topic" or we went "off-topic." And this is on a thread where the subtitle literally says "Irrelevant and chatty topics" !!! For crying out loud.
In short—please, I am asking you, get her off our backs. Not only is she destroying the vibe and the whole point of this thread, but she’s also clearly enjoying picking on the women here, using her moderator powers to vent her own personal frustrations. I highly doubt that's what anyone looks for in a moderator. Thanks in advance.
So, essentially, you’re positioning yourself as if you’re speaking for everyone by demanding her removal, yet every single person who joined this thread is saying they don't agree with you.
Amanda Kelly said:A second per lap, give or take. That's way too much. ruggedhawk20 was insisting it all comes down to the drivers. McLaren and Aston Martin look noticeably weak (unlike Mercedes), and Sainz completely fell off on the hards...
Exactly, which is why we need those new cars to arrive. It’s nearly impossible to catch the leaders unless there’s a major shift in the technical landscape. Even Red Bull and Max wouldn't be breathing down Mercedes' necks right now if the regulations hadn't changed.
The gap between the top three and the rest of the field is just too wide. It’s something I find myself thinking and writing about constantly—the true pace always reveals itself eventually. Most people focus on the delta to hide how fast a car actually is, but watching Max and Lewis battle it out yesterday really drove home the point. That gap is much larger than most people realize.
urbanfox said:Max was smart enough to keep a close eye on what Lewis was doing and adjust accordingly. That’s one reason he managed to hold onto his lead. But let’s be honest: Lewis is still the one setting the tempo of this game, even if he didn't take the win this time. For Max to truly dominate, he needs to step up and outmaneuver him strategically. He has the grit and the heart for it, but Lewis has a more powerful car and possesses a certain level of cunning—making those calculated moves that Max just doesn't attempt, despite his occasional streak of arrogance. Regardless, it was a well-earned victory for Max. He lands on that podium based on his own merit, whereas Lewis relies heavily on massive team support and a significant personal sacrifice from Valtteri.
Sometimes Lewis sets the tempo, but yesterday he definitely wasn't calling the shots because he simply lacked the pace. When Max hit that traffic, his gap shrank from 4 seconds down to 1.4, but then between laps 54 and 61, he pushed it right back up to 4 seconds. If you look at the gap intervals between Max and Lewis, it’s clear his goal was to hover right around 3 to 4 seconds behind Lewis. He kept himself in that pocket the whole time. It was the same pattern at the start of the race—Max broke away by 3 or 4 seconds and focused on clawing his way back to that specific margin whenever Lewis tried to turn up the heat.
If Lewis had actually been leading a lap, he wouldn't have allowed Max to pull away by over 3 seconds at the start. It was obvious from the jump that Max was running maximum settings to chase down the fastest possible times. The folks at Mercedes probably anticipated something like that, but they were left completely speechless by Max's pace during those first ten laps.
Red Bull showed some serious pace on this track, but both Red Bull and Sergio Perez really dropped the ball during Saturday qualifying, which cost them a shot at those top three spots. Looking at how Red Bull handles braking, they might not be left too far behind at Indianapolis, though I’m still bracing for them to be down by a few tenths per lap, whether we're looking at race pace or qualifying.
Did Sergio Perez make a mistake at the start? It felt like he dropped back a notch at one point. Still, it was a solid drive from him considering how tough it is to overtake on this track. Max was incredible, and Lewis Hamilton was right there with him, constantly putting pressure on the Red Bull Racing pit wall.
Pierre Gasly had a predictably great race. For him, the secret to consistency over these last three races has been crushing qualifying—getting the heavy lifting done on Saturday so he can just close it out on Sunday.
Fernando Alonso looked great, while Esteban Ocon seemed to struggle with how slow Alonso was during the opening laps.
There’s talk about a two-stop strategy if tire degradation hits harder than expected, but I honestly find that hard to believe. My gut feeling is that most teams will play it safe and opt for a more conservative approach, sticking to a slower delta just to see how long those tires actually hold up. Overtaking is such a nightmare on this circuit; every pit stop feels like a setback, leaving you stuck in a grind trying to move up through the field where even a fresh set of rubber might not give you the edge you need. That's my take for anyone driving outside the Top 3.
Jason Campbell70 said:If the main straight had more length, we'd basically see a repeat of Portugal—nothing too exciting, just endless DRS battles on the straight.
We should wait for the race first. Then we can judge.
My take is that the issue in Portugal was the DRS zone being placed too late. If it had been positioned differently, there would have been more overtaking. Here, the DRS kicks in right after the corner, which is an improvement, but I still expect very few passes. This track feels like Monaco without the walls.
I’m really curious to see how Red Bull Racing performs at Indianapolis. It seems to be becoming a predictable pattern where they just struggle on the straightaways. Even with the slipstream effect, they aren't gaining much ground. Max Verstappen likely held a decent advantage heading into that final corner and through the start-finish line, but that's exactly where he started losing time on that stretch.
Red Bull Racing just ran a simulation using Max Verstappen to tow Max Verstappen at the end of his lap. It’s entirely possible we might see a similar tactic during the Third Qualifying Session if they both make it through.
It feels like Ferrari keeps throwing away solid results on tracks where they actually have a shot at a top five finish. We saw it with Charles Leclerc in Monaco, and now we're seeing it again with Carlos Sainz here.
wiredseal7 said:So, the news just dropped—he’s under investigation for allegedly cutting under the red flags, and now he’s been hauled in to face the judges. Just another day in the circus.
Norris got hit with a draconian penalty in Baku just because he didn't dive into the pits the split second that red flag popped up. You have to allow for some reaction time once the info actually hits the driver—it’s not instant telepathy. If the notification is late, you penalize the crew, not the guy behind the wheel.
Looks like they were waving blue flags right as Stroll was passing by—classic.
It’s reliable when the results come back positive—but completely useless when they're negative, since it misses half the people actually infected.
How do you penalize a team without them just repeating the same mistakes? A fine? That doesn't mean much in this sport. In my eyes, the team and the driver are one and the same.
