So, I’ve got a license, but apparently, it doesn't support multiple devices. Honestly, I don't even care about more devices because I only ever use a VPN on one single machine anyway. Everything was working perfectly fine until, out of nowhere, I started getting this annoying notification telling me to either upgrade my plan to allow more connections or delete some old devices since this license is capped at five. The catch? I am only using it on one device. I have zero clue how or where I'm supposed to go to remove these "other" devices. I've been Googling the issue, but I can't find a damn thing that actually helps...
I’ve been using Norton 360, which includes ExpressVPN, and honestly, it’s always been solid. A few days ago, everything was working fine, but now out of nowhere, it refuses to connect. It keeps throwing this "Max connections reached" error at me. It's claiming I have five different devices connected at once, which is total BS because nothing has changed on my end. I only ever use the VPN on this one laptop. Now it’s trying to upsell me on an upgrade or asking for a license key, even though I already have a valid one. I’m completely lost here. What could have possibly changed?
When I go to Settings -> Protection -> firewall -> and look at the Cisco, I see seven different network profiles listed, and five of them definitely aren't mine. Could that be causing the issue? They’re just sitting there in the list, and there isn't even an option to delete the ones I don't need.

A moderator is targeting BlackRock in the Politics - Topic: Terrorism subforum in Europe by unjustifiably deleting posts from users—including mine. Honestly, I’m worried this is a blatant abuse of power. I’m not talking to him directly; I’m addressing the other mods and the higher-ups. I'm asking for this grievance to be taken seriously, or at the very least, for that mod to get a formal warning.
Here's the deal: today I stayed strictly on topic (!) by posting a single comment regarding that tragic terrorist attack in France and including a link to the news story. He nuked my post, and when I protested the unfair deletion, I got hit with a warning. Look, I get that part—complaining about deletions in the wrong place isn't allowed. But I absolutely cannot wrap my head around why posts that are actually on-topic are being wiped out. He claimed it was because there was "already a long discussion ongoing," even though that other discussion had nothing to do with the topic (!) at hand—just like how a news report about a psycho killing people in Japan wouldn't fit there. Yet, I was told I went off-topic when I was actually staying dead center on the subject. It's pure absurdity. But hey, people screw up.
Fast forward a bit later in the same thread: I comment on-topic again. I'm discussing that incident in Germany involving a maniac killing a doctor (whatever, doesn't matter now) and answering another user's question about the political and ideological motivations behind terrorism—which is the entire point of the thread. And what happens? That same moderator (!) wipes those posts too. This isn't moderation anymore. This is personal and it's an abuse of authority. Every single one of my posts was relevant to the topic; I'd bet anything on it. I didn't take screenshots so I don't have "proof," but if they check the deleted logs, they'll see I'm telling the truth. Other users are seeing this too.
I originally thought about staying quiet because anyone can make a mistake, and yeah, I did complain in the wrong spot once. But this repeated pattern of deleting on-topic posts is completely unjustified.
I'm asking for this legitimate complaint to be heard and for a review of the moderator handling BlackRock.

Like I already said, if someone feels offended, that's on them. We can't regulate who gets triggered by which lyric, sentence from a book, or whatever else. Where does it end? And I don't have anything to record and send to some review board. Besides, there's plenty of poetry out there that doesn't even get filmed. This isn't mocking; it's criticism. That show and things like it are a joke themselves—you don't even need to mock them. I just voiced my critique my way. It doesn't insult anyone personally. If some users feel offended, that's their own damn problem. I didn't target any specific person; I was taking a critical look at the show itself, its concept, the performers, and the audience. What's wrong with that? It's all art and expressing an opinion. You think you have the right to unilaterally censor me just because you don't like it. Well, cheers to censorship!
I posted a little poem in "The Voice" thread, and it got nuked immediately. So, I tried again, posting my hip-hop track with a comment about ending censorship, and—surprise, surprise—it was deleted again, and I actually caught a warning for it. Seriously? What kind of censorship is this? Since when does a moderator get to act like a dictator and just silence people on a whim? I didn’t break any rules; my post was perfectly fine and just offered a bit of poetic commentary on the topic. This is basically a total ban on sharing an opinion or expressing yourself.

That’s exactly what I did, but the software still can't detect the hardware (Cannot find any video capture device). Unfortunately, this gear doesn't have drivers for Windows 7, and the XP drivers won't install on Windows 7 or even in Windows XP mode. I don't know—I might just give up on this or just dual-boot Windows XP on its own partition. I'll think about it. Either way, thanks for the help. If anyone has another suggestion, I'm all ears.

The issue is I can't get these drivers installed on Windows 7, and I can't get them working in a virtual Windows XP environment either. An error message pops up and kills the installation every single time. I can install the software for the hardware itself, but without the actual drivers, it's useless. Even in my virtual Windows XP setup, I'm hitting the exact same wall as I am in Windows 7.

I set up that Virtual Windows XP mode and it works fine, but like I said, it still won't run the Microsoft software installation (for the TV tuner card). Also, what exactly does people mean by "guest additions"? All I did was install the Virtual Windows XP mode called Windows6.1-KB958559-x64-RefreshPkg.msu along with the relevant Hotfix.

Normally, you don't need anything extra besides the software itself. In a standard Windows XP environment, the installer runs without any issues. I just grabbed VirtualBox, so I'm going to give that a shot. Thanks for the tip.
I got a virtual Windows XP up and running, and honestly, it seems fine. But then I tried installing this software, and the whole thing just died on me. It throws the exact same "Not supported" error I get when I try it on Windows 7. Total letdown. Turns out even on a virtual Windows XP, you can't just run whatever you want, just like on Windows 7. :-( It feels like running a virtual Windows XP isn't quite the same as using a real one.
I’m looking to install XP on its own partition alongside Windows 7. I’ve got some old hardware that just doesn't have any drivers for Windows 7, so my only move is to run XP. My 500 GB hard drive is already split up—I’ve got the main system on C: and another partition, D:. Is it actually better to avoid installing a second OS on the same partition where my primary Windows 7 setup lives? I was thinking about carving out a new partition from the D: drive, maybe around 40 GB—is that enough space for XP? Or am I overcomplicating things by adding another partition? Any advice would be appreciated.
Alright, thanks. I'll check it out. Unfortunately, this cooler is making this weird buzzing sound too, and it keeps changing pitch. I'm guessing it might be the radiator. If that's the case, there isn't much we can do about it. If it's something else, it's probably just how it is. But I gotta admit, I'm not used to hearing that noise. It sounds kind of like a high-frequency whine. Anyway, things are looking better now. :-)
I took my rig in to get checked out, and turns out it was the CPU cooler all along. They pulled off the stock one and swapped it for a Zalman. I was actually right there when they disconnected the original cooler, and sure enough, that buzzing/whining noise stopped immediately. This new Zalman setup makes a similar sound, just way quieter.
There isn't even a buzzer or a tiny speaker connected to the motherboard.
I can't say for sure if it's the GPU. That whining sounded like it was coming straight from the CPU cooler. It’s good to know that if it *was* the graphics card, coil whine is just a thing that happens. But like I said, once the cooler was replaced, the noise vanished—well, at least most of it. People told me that's just a normal sound for a cooler to make, but honestly, it was driving me nuts. It was loud enough to be constant. Now there's still a tiny bit of that "zzz-zzz" sound, but it's much better; honestly, I don't even notice it anymore. :-)
