I remember once placing an x bet on a France vs. Denmark matchup, primarily because I figured a draw was the most logical outcome for both sides. They’re playing each other, and currently, Belgium sits in second place simply because they hold one fewer yellow card. Since the runner-up gets a much more favorable draw, there's a lot at stake here. Just imagine the bracket: if Senegal or Japan takes the top spot, they'd face them in the Round of 16, followed by a Switzerland vs. Sweden matchup in the quarterfinals, eventually leading to a semifinal showdown between teams like the US, Germany, Spain, or Russia. Alternatively, if Colombia clinches first, the path shifts slightly in the early rounds, but the rest of the bracket remains identical. It seems highly unlikely that England and Belgium would intentionally throw the game, though. Perhaps they might settle for a draw—a result where everyone walks away satisfied. In such a scenario, those yellow cards become the deciding factor. And who can really argue against someone picking up a card that doesn't look suspicious? Even though FIFA has stated they will penalize such behavior, 🙂 you're absolutely right that those cautions can cause serious problems before they're ever cleared from the record. But then again... 🙂 nothing in the world of sports surprises me anymore.

Mexico grabs a corner in the first minute and then absolutely nothing happens. Disappointing.

Psk has Mexico at 3.5 corners. The over is @2. I haven't been watching closely enough to see if there's an option available with a lower line. If you look at the statistics, it's clear that Mexico tends to rack up a high number of corners. Of course, nobody is going to question that logic. When they played last year, Mexico ended up with 11 corners. It’s obvious that their specific style of play naturally generates plenty of corner opportunities. 😉 I won't be putting any significant action on this one... just tracking the movement. 🙂
