From what I can see around here, people who were absolutely crushed by their loans actually had to band together, form an association, and sue the banks just to prevent them from bearing the full brunt of the crisis on their own. And only now are those rulings finally coming back in their favor. It wasn’t a seat at the negotiating table that saved them; it was the courtroom. But looking at how these banks are operating lately? I don't see much evidence that anything significant has actually changed for the better.

Regulations have tightened up big time. Back in the day, I could grab a house at 18 years old—just a regular standalone place in the Toronto suburbs for $200k. I got approved for a $170k loan just by showing a letter from my employer stating how long I’d been there and what I was pulling in.

Now? That exact same house is $700k, and they’ll only approve you for $450k. Plus, you have to drag a mountain of paperwork from the IRS, your company, credit bureaus... some places even ask for medical records!
A young couple today basically has to drown in debt just to get a tiny slice of the pie.

When I look at Liverpool over the last 10 years versus where we are right now, the progress is massive. We’re back on the map in America, and honestly, I believe no top club wants to see us coming on their schedule.
With a little bit of luck (not that we aren't getting some love, but fortune favors the bold!), we could walk away with both trophies. On the flip side, one bad break and we’re empty-handed. It really comes down to the tiny details.
I'm just stoked that Klopp raised the entire vibe inside and around the club to a whole new positive level. He’s exactly the kind of guy we need, so even if we miss out on a trophy, there is no way I'm calling him a loser.

As for what anyone else thinks? I couldn't care less.
