Having technical issues on Reddit? Ask here. in Forum Help! ·
Since I’m pretty much tech-illiterate, I’m at a loss for how to fix this. I’ve got a modest
tablet—an iPhone 15 running iOS 17—and for the last two days, I haven't been able to access Stack Overflow. Instead,
I just get those annoying "site is not secure" warnings. I noticed some friends on their phones aren't having any issues at all.
I tried
Google searching "Stack Overflow won't load," and I found about a dozen articles linking to the issue. I clicked one, and it took me straight to Reddit, but the thread was from 2018. I scrolled back up to the top and
clicked the link for Stack Overflow to try and jump back into the present day, 2023. From there, everything seems to be working fine.
The whole thing feels incredibly bizarre, so if anyone has any actual advice...

I once had a boss who was a bit younger than me, originally from Little Rock, and she insisted on addressing me with formal titles even though I'm only 40.
Is that just a cultural thing from that part of the country?

Back when I was in middle school about 55 years ago, my physics teacher always wore a suit and tie,
and he would address all his students very formally. I've also heard—though I don't know if it's actually true—that in Mexico, using formal titles
is more about being wealthy rather than being older or smarter.😀
Of course, using overly formal language can also be a way to mask some sarcasm. I'll let you guys be the judge of that!

Thanks, Casey. Looks like that worked! (Spacing, new punctuation, etc.)
