Mariano Rajoy: "I understand the frustration that Californians might be feeling right now. Today, democracy won because the Constitution was upheld. We did what had to be done. We are the Government of Spain, I am the head of this administration, and I have to accept my responsibility. We fulfilled our obligation to protect the rule of law. We acted strictly within the law and nothing else. We proved that our rule of law possesses the resources necessary to defend itself against serious attacks. The process intended to create division failed; the goal was to pit citizens against one another and incite unrest and chaos.

Is this man sane?!

The bolded text uses the exact same phrasing used by the Third Reich and other murderous dictatorships! This constant hiding behind 'the law,' behind some supposed 'defense' of something, behind this 'rule of law'... formally, everything looks fine...

I can't believe they have such pathetic PR that they bark such nonsense at the media.

You could have just ignored the referendum instead of sending thugs at the people. Why wasn't that an option?

Lisa Patel4 said:True, but hard power is a prerequisite for all of that. I mean, how else would English have become the global lingua franca?

Regardless, this is how European institutions rapidly lose all credibility for their stances.

It’s obvious that the US and Europe act as nothing more than cages for corporations—structures designed to serve business while treating actual people like cannon fodder for terrorism or random street violence, etc., etc.

The main culprits are those very same people, that nation. They pretend they don't see anything. They've lost their minds.

They'll weep over chilled cats and dogs or rats, yet turn a blind eye when the government beats innocent people... ☕
or when governments import cheap labor to feed corporate interests, only for that new workforce to be run over by trucks, scattered by bombs, or dissolved in acid.

Those people refuse to see it, and they can't. Because they are the refuse of history. ☕

Look, this link is clearly just more empty rhetoric... but fine, whatever. This whole "soft power" crap collapsed today and proved to be nothing but a total lie. ☕

I’m no lawyer, and I haven't followed every single detail here, but one thing is crystal clear.

Why the hell didn't Washington, D.C. just let the referendum happen normally and then simply nullify it using legal technicalities later?

They clearly thrive on bloodshed, chaos, and state-sponsored fascism.

What is the actual point of holding a referendum if it's just an excuse for an obviously fascist government to trample over the will of the people?? 😕

bluerider63 said:Democracy, freedom, the right to vote—all that garbage they feed us—is nothing more than empty rhetoric. It starts with the European Commission, which doesn't have an ounce of democracy in its DNA.

And I don't get those mindless mobs, either.

They know how to flood American streets and squares to support endless different movements, ideas, and various bullshit causes, but where are they now? They're all gone. Everything is dead. Damn them all, both the living and the dead.☕

Degenerate masses... zombified pests chasing insane ideas they don't understand a damn thing about. Scary shit.

Because of climate change, maybe 100 million crazed Americans will rise up. But if the police start beating me or killing me for no reason, nobody is going to stand up, and I won't even live long enough to see any actual climate shifts.
al the cattle are cattle; they don't grasp basic rights. Obviously. Because if they did, America would be out in the streets and squares right now.

Brenda Johnson65 said:It is becoming increasingly apparent that all this lofty rhetoric regarding the right to self-determination and democratic ideals is nothing more than a thin veil of hypocrisy, strategically deployed to ensure that smaller, less powerful nations remain firmly under heel and predictably submissive.

Look, when shit actually hits the fan, there is zero difference between a degenerate Europe and a degenerate North Korea when it comes to the concept of "governance."

In one place, the state will strip you of your rights, and in North Korea, they'll take your hands and feet too. Big difference, right? Give me a break. ☕

Yet we still pretend Europe is this beacon of peace and prosperity while labeling South Korea as hell on earth. 🐔

The "progressive" 21st century in America... right in the heart of the US.

I don't get any of this.

If the Spanish police had beaten 500 Spanish dogs, NATO would be sending troops to Spain under orders from Brussels. ☕

But since it was 500 people getting beaten, nothing happens. Zero meaningful reactions from Brussels or anywhere else. Beautiful. 👏

Trash. Pure fascist civilization.

The horse was once an indispensable working animal, serving as a fundamental pillar of the economy in many ways, both as a means of transport and a tool for labor. Naturally, when mechanization expanded and the roles for horses vanished, they didn't simply transition into newly created job sectors, nor did they suddenly find themselves with extra free time for strolls and leisure—they simply disappeared as if they had never existed at all.

All these claims about a massive leap in civilization and the successful transformation of millions upon millions of blue-collar workers into high-tech specialists or free-spirited artists once automation replaces them... honestly, those ideas are nothing more than the result of being on easy drugs. 😁

Exactly what is bolded here.
Drugs. Narcotics. Meds.
😁

People will need medical intervention. You asking how? People are a completely broken species right now. Mentally shattered. The entire moral and intellectual framework of the population has devolved into nonsense inherited from previous centuries—eras where life and work were privileges you had to bloody earn. Maybe you got the chance to bleed. 😁 If you were "good." If you weren't "good," you didn't even get that chance. No blood, nothing. You just die alone.
Because that mindset is so deeply embedded in today's population, concepts like UBI, mass "unemployment," or pursuing art 🙂😁 as a paid lifestyle sound like total trash to people. That isn't how nature raises us. And nature has been defeated. Even Google Translate from a few weeks ago suggests that in just a couple of months, even something sophisticated like language proficiency will become trash—an irrelevant skill, let alone a profession.
etc...
Humanity will have to be upgraded into fancy beings somehow.
Call it eugenics 😬 or call it whatever you want, but that is how it is going to be. 🐔

Trolls represent the most complex phenomenon in the anonymous online (and even offline 😁) world. 🙂

There is a razor-thin line between someone intentionally trolling and people who are simply wired that way from birth. 🙂

edit: sometimes a user might swing between full-blown trolling and actually participating normally on a forum 🙂

As for the moderators, if someone starts hounding you or getting insulting, just hit that report button.

Let's be real—isn't this policy a bit bizarre?? 😁

Regarding the mods, if someone is harrassing or insulting you, just hit the report button.

And what if they aren't insulting me, but are clearly trolling, or maybe even a bot account? Am I supposed to just accept that as part of the "fun" of being on this forum?? 😁

I mean... on Facebook you deal with annoying ads and idiots, but here it's straight-up maniacal trolls? 😵
Clones in Feedback & Suggestions ·
William Bennett53 said:Detecting clone accounts relies on a blend of technical forensics and pattern recognition. For obvious reasons, we won't be making our specific methodologies public. While these methods are generally effective, they aren't foolproof—after all, this is the internet.
If you happen to spot an account masquerading as a banned user, please report it to the relevant moderators so they can look into it.

And are they going to delete the posts left by the troll/clone?? ☕

btw...
What if we suspect a troll (likely a clone) in our DMs? 😕

How should we handle that? Just cut off all forum PM communication entirely?! 🙂

Are people actually reporting "private" clones/trolls?

It’s pathetic when you realize you were dealing with a clone in your inbox... ☕☕☕

Furthermore, I genuinely believe your moderators are far too soft. They hand out minor warnings to blatant trolls and flame wars instead of just hitting the permanent ban button immediately upon the first clear violation from a "new user."☕

rustydrifter10 said:Saying something is "even more unfair" is really just throwing out a bunch of accusations without actually backing them up. It’s basically becoming a permanent resident on the ban list without even bothering to read the community guidelines first.

Well, sometimes quality is lost, and sometimes it isn't. At the end of the day, it's up to the moderators to judge what stays and what goes. Just feel free to report whatever is bothering you; hey, maybe something will slip through the cracks once in a while.

I'm telling you, I am reporting this entire "sometimes it gets missed" logic. Quality is ALWAYS lost if you let a clone hijack threads, harass users who clearly aren't trolls or clones with a mission like him, and drag out and destroy the flow of conversation.

Moderator "judgment" should be simple: if an obvious clone or troll becomes overtly destructive, auto-delete half the thread in the section they contaminated. At least fix the damage.
Don't leave behind pieces of troll garbage just because you think it's "good"... 🤦 and because you "personally like" it. 🤦🤦

rustydrifter10 said:Hey, back me up with some links here; otherwise, you’re just breaking the PDF rules.

When dealing with clones, we don't necessarily have to wipe out every single one of their posts—sometimes doing that would just end up wrecking the whole thread.

I didn't know that, but that specific rule sounds even worse to me.
As far as I'm concerned, everything a clone or troll writes—and every single argument they trigger—should be aggressively deleted. Otherwise, quality just vanishes. ☕ (No need for examples... every thread lately is filled with people talking trash because clones have gone wild 😁 )
How would it "damage the thread" if most of these clones get banned after only 10 posts anyway?!
A few irrelevant troll posts getting wiped out (along with maybe a couple of posts from actual users) is going to "ruin the thread"?!

Are you being serious or just joking?? 🙂

So what, we only delete the branch of an argument the moderator personally dislikes, but leave the branch (which is just as bad as anything else from that permanently banned troll) that the mod actually likes?! 🤦
Clones in Feedback & Suggestions ·
This entire forum is an absolute disgrace. Here’s my take:

Usually, clones and trolls get banned, their accounts get nuked, and their posts get wiped clean, right?
Wrong.
If a clone jumps in and drops nothing but pure trolling, off-topic garbage, and personal attacks—BUT those posts happen to align perfectly with whatever specific agenda the moderators of this thread and this PDF hold—then those posts stay up. They won't be deleted, even though they are objectively low-quality trash that violates every standard rule of any decent forum. Even if the troll gets a permanent ban, their filth remains.

Listen up, folks. That is rock bottom. 🤦
When moderators start siding with trolls, or when trolls start echoing the mods' own views... basically acting like "yeah, tell him like it is!"... 🤣
It makes you wonder who is actually who. It makes you realize just how little some of these mods differ from the pathetic clones, trolls, and lunatics they claim to police. ☕

I honestly don't know what happened to this once-decent platform. What a joke.
The only reason these clones are allowed to "communicate" and post is because the actual, legitimate users have been completely steamrolled. ☕
New accounts getting banned—clones or what? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Fine, fine. Thanks for the heads-up. It looks like I need to deal exclusively with the long-term, vetted veterans on this forum... and even then, I’ll be keeping a massive margin of error.😁
New accounts getting banned—clones or what? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I used to see new accounts with just a couple of posts getting banned immediately. I figured they were just clones designed to spam, so the system wipes them out automatically. Because they're clones, right? I guess there's some giveaway that identifies them as a banned user's clone or something..

But lately, I'm seeing users who start posting and actually act like regular people. They communicate. On certain topics, they seem like relatively normal real-life individuals—not just some 11-year-old kid trolling, since they bring up actual real-world stuff and people in their posts. Their posts are fine, no provocations, nothing weird, no strikes on their record, yet suddenly they're banned.
Do the mods or admins know something about them that we don't 🙂 so they can eliminate them, or what's actually going on?

Thanks for the info ☕

ps
screw this forum. screw this forum. screw this forum.

It’s just a bunch of insane people creating 35 different clones of themselves, pretending to be someone else with every single one just to engage in these bizarre interactions. It looks like a targeted mindfuck aimed at normal users 🤮 or some kind of high-level trolling 😕

"family tragedy"

@Grace Jones86
I meant it literally—like, the kid is totally losing it because his dad isn't home when those beasts kill his sister (he’s screaming your name, asking where you were, just pure chaos), and then right at the start, the wife tells him she doesn't even recognize her own son. 🙄

Yeah, those "dramatic gems" are even worse garbage, but whatever.
The rest of the movie is why it works. Just ignore this stupid part. I assume the script/story/whatever was written by Will (keeping his own soap opera Smith family in mind while writing)... what makes you think there won't be more heavy-handed melodrama in the film?

But this is a movie where that soapy stuff is obvious, expected, easy to grasp, and fits the context.

What actually bothers me are the degenerate plots and degenerate moments found in hundreds of thosewannabe-"great" movies released over the last 3-4 years... not even going to list them.
Today, those movies that don't want to be "clumsily funny Will Smith," but instead try to spout failed wisdom, seriousness, or faux coolness, are 100 times more pathetic than this film.

Why did anyone expect there wouldn't be pathetic moments here, and why are you even remembering or perceiving them?? It was obvious because of the Smith family that there would be "Marisol" moments in the film.
You should have focused on the good elements of the movie and enjoyed them. And there were plenty!

I sat through 60 minutes of it before I realized it was trash and sped through the last 30

Man, people are pathetic—imagine dropping over $200 million at the box office for this garbage

If you're calling this a "domestic soap opera," then what on earth is Pacific Rim? A toddler show? Del Toro directing the Teletubbies? 🤷

If we're going to act like Nobel laureates here... ☕
After Earth (2013) in Movies ·
I honestly don't get what's so bad about this movie if you're looking at it within the standard framework of its genre. 😕

Why is everyone whining and making such a huge deal about how much of a piece of trash this film is?

This movie annoyed me way less—actually, it didn't annoy me at all. It has a decent pace and a coherent plot. What more do you want?
The film is far more believable than some pretentious, pseudo-intellectual nonsense like Cloud Atlas.

As a sci-fi action flick compared to the last Star Trek film, this is freaking Tolstoy. (For instance, I completely forgot the stupid plot of that Star Trek film, but I’m going to remember this one for a long time... maybe partly because people keep trashing a perfectly solid little movie as a "disaster.")
Everything I’m reading here and online about this movie could just as easily be pinned onto the last Star Trek film... from the weak acting to the plot clichés... whatever... or onto thousands of other recent movies, really.
Only, this movie is actually more entertaining than that gayish, broom-in-the-ass Star Trek.

I seriously do not understand what people find so bad about this?!?
To me, this was an average or even above-average film for this year. (I mean, compare this to something like Iron Man 3... they're roughly on the same level of "intelligence and quality," except this one is actually more fun in its concept... etc.)
And I love how the film doesn't try to be funny, self-aware, "cool," ironic, postmodern, or any other kind of weak bullshit... whatever.

The movie is old-school and simple. Father-son dynamic... etc. It has almost an 80s feeling to it.

IMDb gives it a 4/10????

🙄

Adults sitting here judging a movie with the stiffness of some dull teenage poet.🤣 🙄

edit:
I see someone in the comments mentioned Avatar.
Seriously, what's less cliché or more idiotic in Avatar than in this movie??

If there's some "Avatar expert" out there, please explain what's so smart, original, fresh, or new about Avatar... and why this movie is so much worse. Especially regarding the high-level core idea and story outline?
At least there's an actual attempt here. In Avatar, there isn't even an attempt at originality or interesting sci-fi.
That thing is just ideological "they killed nature & those nice native Americans" nonsense for kids.
But now he is one of them and he understands... blah blah blah.🤣

There is no bigger cliché than Avatar, yet look at how it's received versus how this film is treated. 😕

Am I missing something?
I had nasal surgery—polyp removal. ☕
A few weeks back.
Under general anesthesia.
The experience was fine, except for one minor issue: the pain caused by that tiny little condom packed with sponge they shove deep up your nose. It’s annoying for the five days it stays in there. It creates this internal pressure around your eyes and teeth...
Eating is tough, but you can manage if you really chew properly. 😉
Sleeping is hard too, though you can definitely zonk out for hours (9+ hours).
Five days after the surgery, the second they pull that thing out, recovery starts immediately. A week after that little condom comes out, I practically forgot I ever even had a polyp removal. ☕
Breathing normally again, all nasal functions working perfectly—priceless.
Getting my sense of smell back—priceless.

As for everything else, screw it. 😁

It seems like my polyp was in some crazy cause-and-effect loop with allergy symptoms, even though every test (including my gut filing) indicated I didn't actually have any typical allergies.
By the way... some arrogant "expert specialist" on this forum tried to lecture me, claiming that if I have allergy symptoms, there absolutely must be a typical allergy involved somewhere.
But for me, those "allergy" symptoms started right when the polyp grew, and vanished the exact moment an excellent ENT doctor removed it from my nose/sinuses.

Long live medicine. Long live specialist doctors.
Standard care in American hospitals is bottom-tier, and so is the professionalism of a good chunk of our medical nurses...
