The choreography was fine; nothing groundbreaking, sure, but it fit the vibe of this match perfectly. Look, I have high standards—I'm the kind of guy who's impossible to please—and even the best can always improve. So, come on guys, just push a little harder and... the Champions League is ours. 😁

He’s a cornerstone player... one of the best in the world. There's no way he just pads his stats in the last 15 minutes of a blowout when the game is already decided—which actually happened in previous championships. He can't have this many high-stakes games and play below his level.
If you want to win a tournament, plain and simple, Duvnjak has to dominate every single game.

It was the same story with Balic—remember when he started for the first time in Belgrade? It wasn't bad at all (not by a long shot).

I think Karacic adds a whole different dimension to the offense. He’s a different breed than Duvnjak—more like Balic, a real 1-on-1 specialist—and he can completely shift the tempo when Dule isn't the primary option. They just need to support him better, especially the guards.

Duvnjak is pure class, but when he gets shut down or forced into tight spots, you've got to feed Karacic.

The US welcoming party for 👍👍

George Ward7 said:Yeah, sure—comparing one of the best power forwards in the world to this absolute void.

He should just grab some Canadian citizenship and head for a quiet life in the Midwest.

Based on his career so far, comparing Alilovic/Stevanovic - Sulic/Maric is actually pretty spot on.

Haha, whatever.

There’s this tired old myth that America would’ve walked away with ten more gold medals if we just had a better goalie.

Personally? I think maybe one more gold with a better keeper—but honestly, two more if we actually had a decent pivot (looking at you, Stevanovic - Sulic...).

Take that game in New York, for instance—if Balica hadn't been sidelined by that injury, we definitely would've been in the finals... But hey, you can't pin one tournament on him, just like you can't blame Cupic.

And what ever happened to that goalie Sunjica? Where's he playing these days?

George Ward7 said:Maybe you're the only one who thinks Babic is the obvious choice here.😁

You’ve got a goalie who actually dragged us to a semifinal, yet you still opt for the biggest liability in the tournament. And I don't just mean this championship—this slump has been going on since the World Championships 2005 and Belgrade 2010. He burned through his chances a long time ago, but sure, let's keep trying; he's our "number one."

Maybe—god knows why—I trust the first-string keeper at Vezprem more than the backup over at the big club in New York. It’s like saying I’d trust Sulica over Marica.

Oh, and I almost forgot—yesterday, during those critical moments, it looked like the referees were practically handing favors to the opposition. That might have just tipped the scales of the whole game.

So yeah, looks like the medal is headed straight to that smug jerk.🙂

And what’s with all this bashing of Cupic? It’s unbelievable—after everything he's pulled off in recent tournaments, now suddenly he's playing like some amateur who can't find his rhythm. I can wrap my head around the criticism for Alilovic, sure. But Cupic? This guy has carried the whole squad more times than I can count—even when Horvata wasn't around or when he wasn't even at his best. But this 😵

What a bunch of nonsense 😵

Before the pre-championship, half of you didn't think we'd make it past the second group stage—now, three months later, suddenly everyone’s an expert 😵

Goalkeeper Alilovic might be worse than most keepers on other national teams, but he's still probably better than Stevanovic. Those guys from Ademar Leon or Vezprema aren't idiots.

A career speaks for itself.

That was clearly why Babic chose him to start the semifinal. You try using someone more proven—though honestly, he should have pulled him sooner once it was obvious things weren't clicking.

Babic actually put together a decent game for the most part; blame it on a lousy prep match against Spain (that defense...) and that's that. And then there's all this stupid commentary!

If you ask me, third place for Team USA is a bit above what we actually deserve. Realistically, there are still a few teams with more talent, but hey, everything just fell into place.

Team USA can dream about chasing the gold from Canada 2004, maybe even World Championships 2005 and Belgrade 2010—anything else is just pure wishful thinking. You've got the French who are better, the Danes who are probably better, and the Spaniards who are right up there.

Aiming for the semifinals is the realistic goal every time (except for this year 😁), so anything beyond that is just a bonus.

jadeotter said:So I hear some of you are whining about the turnout at the protest—or maybe just some mindless idiots who think if we were all showing up for Real Madrid, there’d be three hundred thousand of us. Honestly? I'd take 300 real ones over a massive crowd of fake poser types who wouldn't know a game from a World Cup unless they filmed twenty different iPhone videos of it first.

What's the point of this?

Any actual fan—doesn't matter what team they follow—would back you up here. All you're doing with this attitude is making people sick of you.

Good luck, and try being smart for once.

casualrider43 said:That’s the bottom line. Honestly, though—does it even make sense to pour money, health, and everything else into a club when the players are clearly just chasing a paycheck? They only give a damn when there’s a win bonus on the table...

If everyone took that stance, football would be dead in the water. Look, a club isn't defined by Mamić or some corrupt suit—it's not about the individual owners or whoever happens to be playing today.

We fans love to say "we are the club," but we aren't. A club is an ideal—it's a force you believe in, something that pulls at you. It’s basically a religion. Even when things go south—whether you're in the minor leagues or sitting at the top of the standings while some guy decides he's God—the club stays the same in your eyes.

I'm Catholic, so yeah, I get served crooked priests and thieves in robes every single day. But am I going to stop believing in my faith just because of one idiot who's only passing through? No. You aren't going to stop believing in Real Madrid just because of Mamić and Carlos.

Don't let them get to you!

They’ll touch anything else except the actual criminals 😁

It’s about time they finally picked him up—though I’m betting this whole thing is just a formality. You know, the usual "everyone is looking the other way" routine... kind of like how people brushed off those shady stock buyouts involving the brother of some big-shot executive...

BUT, it’s honestly pathetic that they’re only moving on now because he went after a Cabinet Secretary. They didn't care about the millions stolen or the absolute disgrace he brought to an honest man...
