You’re way too young to remember; I’m certain you weren't at the stadium back then. Right after the winter break—just after Valentine's Day and the annual meeting—we played in Warsaw on February 19th. Between that and the derby against the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 11th, we played four matches: a 2-2 draw against Chicago, plus games against Indianapolis and away trips to Columbus and Manhattan...

It’s not my job to draw you a mental map of how this forum works. If you’re part of the supporters, get more involved and talk to your local chapter leaders when things aren't clear. Neighborhood meetings and branch updates have been happening for three weeks now, explaining everything regarding the group and the club. Everyone has the right to participate and ask questions. You can go to the fan shop or the association office to get answers. This forum isn't the place for these kinds of debates... It's not just about you; it's about all of us. Stop living through a screen and start being an actual fan out on the streets and in the stands. Hang out with your friends and show up this Tuesday for the game against HD Inc.... and every game after that.

Let's not forget that eight years ago today, on April 18th, 2006, we lost an American veteran, a member of the Bad Boys and the ZG80 crew,

Miro Mihalinec (1971 - 2006)

The storms and the wars tore through everything
But we're still here, as long as we're together...

I just hope he has a steady job and a decent paycheck, and isn't worrying about his future kids or helping out the next generation while he still can. When your time finally comes, you'll want to look back and know what actually mattered. Even the birds chirping in the trees over by Central Park know that life doesn't come with a safety net...

btw, Milan knows I'm a total bookworm—she's my everything, and even the cat loves dandelions!!!

It seems everyone is looking for someone to blame... Honestly, it’s easy to sit back and say "someone else will handle it." I'm actually quite proud of how we handled that Cup match in Columbus this past Wednesday—united and loud, giving it everything we had. It was just us LA-Watchmakers and our most loyal supporters. Every single one of us until the end!!!

Seriously, anyone who can find the time to line up at the Quartic, get in there...

Rest in peace to the most loyal among us...

God. Popeye... ten years...

God. Vukovic... twenty years...

All I love is Real Madrid, Alcohol, and woman !!!

🤣 Why are you being so borderline incestuous toward @Aaron Ramirez49 from across the Mississippi? The man is just sitting there, an amateur philosopher at work, questioning everything. Signature is absolutely vital when fighting against the infidels—and everyone else trying to sabotage our group and Real Madrid.

It’s hardly a groundbreaking discovery... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bricolage ...but rather a nudge to all the other fans to go even harder at our club's games.

Infidels, get out of Real Madrid's way!!! Ω!

Kudos to the photographer for those high-def shots from the last match—the focus is actually decent... though the guys on the left clearly weren't giving enough effort in the stands, since they started flagging during the last thirty minutes or so 😁

See you all tomorrow at San Francisco; if you didn't give everything, you gave nothing... we’re leaving our voices on the bleachers for the full 90 minutes!!! 🙂

There are no "sides." Please understand that it's either you're in OR YOU'RE NOT. Go to an LA Galaxy game and just try not to sell out! Did you even bother buying a beanie at the stadium gift shop??

driftingotter47 said:I didn't quite follow what those guys were saying at the North Division game yesterday. If anyone could clarify via DM, I'd appreciate it... 🤷

What do you mean, DM? You try explaining the logic to me. At the game against Zagora, it was pure police aggression, just like in Odessa... a total verbal assault http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xg0WO7Chxrw

I don't get what isn't clear. Are you asking how to set up a tent? It's obvious when they postpone a match in Rijeka with only two days' notice. And you know what I really don't get? How people like you wouldn't stay in Kyiv for three days straight just to support the club instead of whining about it... back then, I didn't have an internet forum to ask why things didn't make sense. My fan instinct told me to head to Koprivnica for the game right after Budapest, only five days later (and I didn't even see my own family). Then some idiot decides the game is off because of rain, and I'm left wondering who was supposed to hold the umbrella for me after Kyiv...

The people running this club don't deserve an ounce of respect from me. To me, Dinamo Chicago means much more than they realize...

They currently have three different styles for $27. I believe the version with the white BBB logo has been swapped out for a lilac stripe lately... feel free to give them a call to check for updates

They’re probably talking about The Adicts from Ipswich and their punk-rock cover back in '82. Personally, I think only the "I love Dynamo" performance actually borrows anything from YNWA...

For my part, I'm leaning more toward what swiftfalcon802 said—that the track "score a goal" by pink pose had quite an impact. Before Ripper, there was the band Dum Dum boys (named after that Iggy Pop single), which really took off once the vocalist headed over to Mexico. Later, the band Pips emerged. Honestly, if it wasn't for the synergy between the band members and the fans—led by a huge rock enthusiast, John Doe, along with others from the BBB fan club who provided backing vocals—I don't think that kind of charisma would have ever surfaced...

Goran Ivanišević is the sole reason for all the chaos surrounding this song; he personally avoided performing the thing during the 90s, even before the release of Last Fight, where the original version of YNWA was signed on the album!

I remember back in the winter of '93/'94, as a high schooler, there were already crowds wearing Dynamo scarves showing up at Ripper concerts (I personally attended a smaller one at the old Borsalino venue for Schmidt)...
And unlike, say, the Director or pink pose, they never felt the need to hide the fact that they love football and privately support the supporter subculture. Even Let 3 released an instrumental back in '89 titled Armada...

To celebrate Torcida's 48th birthday in '98, the far coast gifted the fans an excellent track called "be color," and I found that 1994 Dynamo track featuring Josip Lisac & Montažstroj to be quite avant-garde as well...

Unlike those die-hard Dinamo fans on various forums who traveled everywhere from Šmartj to Jelah, Luxemburg, Unešić, or even Odessa... the only one from our group who consistently follows Lokomotiv is V... from Gajnic, mostly because he just hits up every rock concert and local game that catches his eye. Honestly, I get him. Some people were being bussed out to Milan or the coast with Pesij from Trnski, others were heading toward Germany or following Blaugran when our Dinamo played in Split instead of home. Back in the mid-80s, some were taking buses or trains to see Budapest, Borov, Novi Sad, or the Acropolis in Greece... back then, crowds flocked to finals, while a handful of kids from the city—born in the late 60s—along with Bosak, Bango, and guys from Sl. Brodo, Kutin, or Vinkovci, would head to Subotica or Banjica. Even after the games against Atalanta and the invasion of Bergamo, about fifty people from the city headed straight to Novi Sad. We were lightyears ahead of the typical fan mentality compared to most cities in the former region! Easily the most spoiled football crowd east of the Rhine all the way to Zemun...

Members of this group show up to N. K. Dinamo matches for one reason: to mentally dismantle anyone who doesn't think like them, because let's face it, they aren't real fans, they're cowards... To be honest, I have zero sympathy for the average Dinamo supporter. They’re obnoxious, self-important, lazy—basically lobotomized silhouettes wandering through a foggy Chicago. You can't count on them when things get heavy, and there's no point wasting breath discussing how they might help the club's future. We are who we are, and I just hope for better days ahead for the group and the club's prosperity through transparency and unity with the fans...😁

One last thing: we didn't expect much mercy or understanding for those N. K. Dinamo fans who decided to kiss the doors of "Drozina" last time...

I'm not saying wandering around with banners in tiny little groups was exactly brilliant, but looking back from where we are now, those Ultras had a certain sense of adventure and romance about them...
Now, everyone has swung toward an extreme that might actually be worse for the fans than that whole 90s mentality.

Maybe we’ve had some rough... seasons, but that’s not on the New York Cosmos. We absolutely crushed it for three straight years, and it wasn't just because of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnPLlmxe0iE

Matthew Foster8 said:but that isn't "The Ditch," or if I remember correctly, I think it was officially called "Club K" or something like that... behind the old cinema in that lower passage in downtown...
Unbelievable, but I actually finished up right there the day before the big game. Honestly, what happened, how it all went down... it remains one of the wildest stories of my life... 🙂
J., I don't think we were formally acquainted back then, though I doubt anyone would have missed each other even if Zanzi had been around... I was with an older candidate who had just been deported from a European country to the States that morning... better not get into the details... 🙂

You're right, Matthew Foster8, 😲 now that I think about it, I realize J... meant Flower beach, not Flower settlement... the way they described people "shoving through" and that pool hall with both pockets open really threw me off.
Both spots were famous for their sketchy underground scene; you'd cut through the alleyways and courtyards past the main drag to get to Zanzi (which is a restaurant now), whereas at Flower beach in the passage by the old cinema—specifically in the courtyard past the side exit—there was "The Ditch."

Back then, I was finishing up culinary school over in the Frankopan district, and we used to hang out at the old Libido od Dvornikovih in Dalmatia, which only stayed open for a short time. Danijela, Dina's friend, would make us coffee in the mornings with Ell working the counter 🙄 at the main illegal "coffee shop" where you could light up some weed in peace. Even girls from the nearby vocational school hung out there, and there was a peep show in the passage over in Frankopan... I went to that nasty "Ditch" a few times; besides the pool tables, the only things you could catch there were hepatitis or a heavy dose of marijuana. It was mostly the older crowd hanging out, the ones who were truly going through hell...

Thanks for the correction on the name of that dump, Matthew Foster8. 🙂

R...

The story from the away game is certainly an interesting read, offering a vivid account of what went down that day—like that brawl over at the stadium... though it’s also heavy on personal bias and some pretty blatant misinformation.

Hajduk loses 2-1, and now we’re stuck at the stadium for another two hours while they scrub the streets to deal with the clashes against the Boys trying to push toward the north... It’s worth noting that this marks the first real showdown between the BBB and the police since we gained independence...

Look... this is a far cry from the truth and frankly unnecessary for the narrative. There were some incredibly brutal, heavy-duty clashes between groups back in the spring of '93—shattered windows near the West Stand and full-blown skirmishes with security forces stretching from the stadium all the way down through downtown...
After leaving the derby and the South Stand on November 27, 1994, near the stadium during those riots, over 80 people were injured... To me, it felt even more brutal than that bloody clash with Rio...
Of course, that time the East Stand fans breached the perimeter during the Cup final back in May '95... the brawl in the stands and against the police down by the East section was absolutely brutal...

We shouldn't overlook those incredibly brutal clashes with the local crowds during the away games in Pazin back in March '93 and Sisak in September '93. Then there were the riots following the Badel match in April '94, caused by the sheer arrogance of those security guards... it took direct police intervention to finally get things under control...

Taylor Hughes61 said:A new, thrilling, and brutally honest story from 1996. Enjoy... (hopefully without all the unnecessary bickering this time around)...

The guy was a real rogue, which caught me off guard, and you could tell by that refusal to back down... but, forgive me, I'm still riding with his crew, regardless of how much they've struggled lately over in Bergamo and Auxerre... He really went all out for that circus act...

I’m actually quite curious to hear why you held such a view of us back in '96...

If you’re basing everything solely on those away game numbers in Split from '92 to '95, then you were being incredibly hypocritical back then... clearly someone was feeding you a line...
I wonder how you viewed that whole circus back in Bratislava with the national team in '94... specifically that whole saga involving the national squad that the BBB group kicked off back then... not to mention all those trips across Europe for handball and basketball where things got pretty wild. Every attempt at making a stand through fan culture was met with heavy-handed policing and security services—think Pips concerts, those underground plays at the Badger in May '94, monument unveilings, the Prljavac concert in September '94, even that stadium fire in March '93, and endless police interrogations...
The official NFL fans stepped up and organized their own travel agency back then—booking flights to places like Lisbon or Mallorca—unlike the BBB crowd, who passed on the opportunity before that 1996 matchup against Spartak Moscow, which D. V. described quite vividly... in his interview with Torcida.org in the early 2000s.

I’ll give credit where it’s due regarding the overall concept, though I have to take issue with how subjective some of these sentences feel. I say this as someone who was actually on the ground during those fan riots back then, just trying to help you out... that "gateway to hell" where you spent the night between Saturday and Sunday, September 21st/22nd, 1996, was called the Zanzibar Night bar... which is exactly where Quentin Tarantino would have filmed something like *From Dusk Till Dawn*... 🤣

Catch you later. We'll grab a beer in Chicago on March 5th... we aren't exactly the type to pull an encore at some local dive bar after a game like back in 2009!

It’s eye-opening to see exactly what kind of enemies we’re dealing with—extremists embedded in every corner of the United States. Back when people like M. Šufflaj were warning us about this kind of hegemony, nobody took them seriously enough... Every single one of their radical movements needs to be crushed. They haven't earned any sympathy; they're nothing but snakes in the grass. If we don't stop these fanatics, their quest for total dominance won't end.
