...just put numbers on the flares😢 and register them with an agency. Look, damn it, the USSF has plenty of money from all those fines, who gives a crap!...Besides, it's risky, might get me picked up by the cops...heh, what a joke. Do you honestly think there's any difference between just holding them and lighting them? And why do people throw them onto the pitch (mostly)? You should know that based on your own experience in your group???!?...In a stadium like our local minor league park, you can still hold them, but at a massive place like an NFL stadium, it's a whole different story...No way!

And yeah, it doesn't matter if the USSF has the cash...Not right now, it doesn't. Have you ever actually been in the stands where it isn't just the ultras? Like, went to see a game or heard people talking after things go down (like flares on the field/in the stands)? Again, it shouldn't matter what non-ultras think, but in this moment, it does... Because if 95% of Americans think we're just hooligans because we set off flares on the field, then that becomes the headline. It distracts from what companies like Pepsi or whatever else are actually breaking laws; they love that narrative. That idiot Davor Šuker once said, "if flares are the only issue, we'll allow them in the stands, just not thrown on the pitch"...It was obvious he was playing dumb with that line, knowing full well the real issues are corruption and legal violations, but they also know that if flares stay in the stands, nobody looks at it as hooliganism. To me, keeping flares in the stands doesn't look like we're defying the USSF, because flares are meant to build atmosphere and make the stands look better. That’s how it should be. I’m saying this specifically during this fight against the USSF, because this stuff hurts fan groups (public opinion + more bans) and helps the USSF. Without numbering everything, it's hard to push back, and whenever they're asked about anything, they just point fingers and say, "they're the ones ruining the sport, they're the ones throwing flares on the pitch." As ridiculous as it sounds to us, most people don't think deeper than that—they just agree with them...

Robert Adams6 said:That’s the signature Black and Gold Army flag they bring to national games. If you actually watched the tournament in Germany, you would've seen it flying there.
The Black and Gold Army are the only crew that refused tickets from the Federation; they went out and bought their own seats in the south stands through general sales.

They aren't the only ones... I mean, if you wanted to say they're the only major group, then sure...
It was cool seeing your flag next to the UV one. Based on these comments, it feels like it won't be long before everyone ends up in the same section anyway. 🙂

Unbelievable. Absolute joke. 😁

If it actually comes down to it—and I really hope it does—watch out, because we don't want to end up fighting the same old fight. Why wouldn't Jerry Jones just think of dropping $0.00 or whatever amount is necessary to buy off some people to vote for him? There’s way too much room for shady business here. Then there's the question of the bylaws. What if they write into the statutes that anyone who joined in the last six months or a year can't vote? I don't know, but you have to watch those kinds of details...
And despite how much I despise everything this party stands for, I hope they don't collapse before the USSF leadership finally gets kicked out, because that's honestly the only decent thing they've done lately. 🙂

EDIT: Someone already beat me to it...

This fan legislation is way too aggressive... If you tell a cop to get lost at the stadium, you’re looking at a year-long ban and $1667 because they consider that straight-up disorderly conduct at sporting events... 🙂

It wasn't even at the football game, just handball, but whatever...
So yesterday we had this handball match, Columbus vs. Palm Springs... It was intense, and the refs were straight-up stealing. We’re all there screaming our heads off, and then these guys pull the game and tell us if we insult anyone else, they'll shut the whole thing down for good. Ridiculous. At this rate, how many years until we're all forced to sit in our seats clapping with those pathetic little noisemakers? 🙂

junk.

Look, if you don't want to end up in jail but you're broke, you can always ask to do some community service instead.🙂

Frank Kim26 said:They just toss you in holding until you see the judge in the morning. Honestly, thank God the game was yesterday. If it had been today, they’d still be sitting in a cell waiting for Monday.

I guess it just depends on the situation. I know some die-hard fans got picked up at the station in San Francisco and were out in an hour, let go to head back. Maybe it’s just a matter of how much room the precinct actually has.🤣

So we’re standing here at the stadium waiting to get in, and some smartass tells us if anyone starts talking trash about the USSF, they're gonna kick us all out. 🤣
Seriously? What, did the fan law change overnight or something? Back in the day, if you were causing trouble, they'd just hold you at the station until the game was over and let you go after the final whistle. I’ve got a guy from the stands sitting in the station right now because of this bullshit.

Larry Campbell33 said:Nisan mentioned a massive crowd showed up in Indianapolis just for the flares, and yeah, there was a pyrotechnic display again. Honestly, I have no clue if they're lighting as many as we are, but in all of Europe, they're definitely top 5 for pyro

Yeah, it's a mess, especially for the smaller groups. I don't see how small crews are supposed to light anything when they're playing away at Miami. First, they frisk you until you're naked; if you're lucky, you won't leave with a broken finger 🙂 . It's damn near impossible to get in. Even if you somehow pull it off, the cops are breathing down your neck—you've got some jerk filming everything on camera, plus the guards and the police blocking your way. Sure, you might manage to light something, but you know damn well you're getting a year-long ban. The fine isn't even the worst part; it adds up, but who gives a damn when you can't watch your own team for a whole year? It's just as insane back home. If someone sets off a flare, the cops basically decide ahead of time who's going to take the fall for it. So, you're standing there thinking about lighting a flare, knowing your buddy is gonna end up with a fine and a ban just because of you, even if he had nothing to do with it. You wouldn't believe it if you didn't see it, but it's the truth. Before the game even starts, they call someone over and tell them, "You're the one responsible if any flares go off." They don't even need proof. A cop's word always beats a fan's...

Larry Campbell33 said:It only lasted two or three minutes before that sign went up. Fourteen years of systematic destruction and rigged games, all under your watch—that’s the peak of your administration. Markovic is finally out. And when the power cut, people just lit up their lighters and started singing. Now it's goodbye to this whole mess along with those bastards.

👍
You guys couldn't see anything, but over on the south side, someone was flashing a flashlight. 😁
They wouldn't let us bring our signs in, and security was being extra aggressive too—total joke. Btw, props to the electrician. 🤣

mistywolf4 said:I haven't personally, but a buddy of mine got hit for the exact same thing last year. And since we're talking about it, a few friends of mine were stopped at the parking lots this winter... and the cops actually suggested they could face a year ban. They're still waiting on the official paperwork.
What a joke.

You dodged a bullet then... This whole thing about getting flagged at the parking lots is sick. There isn't even anything in the fan law about being drunk outside your house, and they weren't even at the stadium or near the grounds.🤷 ...I remember back home, when we got searched at the parking lot, they found a flare and just sent us on our way. No fines, nothing. I mean, come on, we weren't even inside the stadium...

mistywolf4 said:Thanks for the input, everyone. Honestly, I’m drafting a lawsuit against this ruling. They’re trying to make me pay $733 just because I had a few drinks outside the stadium during an away game. I wasn't even doing anything stupid. I'll be sure to bring up Medvescak in my defense too.

So, did you actually get banned? A buddy of mine got a ban and a massive fine for the exact same thing...

vividbison47 said:I was looking through this new fan law and I don't get it:
it says you can't "disguise" yourself in the stands, so what? Does that mean we can't wear our band tees or pull a scarf over our faces when the flare smoke gets too thick??

I guess nobody bothered to ask them about that. 😁

The bans started hitting us way back in the first pro season, long before this law even existed. Specifically, at one game, two flares were lit, and four people got blamed for it. Two of them were actually detained just because they had scarves over their faces while the flares were going off (even though they didn't light them).

Patrick Martin12 said:Look, my advice? Get yourself a lawyer. I got screwed over once too—they claimed I lit a flare when I didn't even touch it, and of course, there was zero video evidence to prove them wrong.
In the end, all I got out of it was some community service hours.
Good luck 😉

What really kills me is my shoulder. It’s completely wrecked. My whole arm is wrapped up in this cast, I can't even slide my hand through the sleeve. I'd love to know how they expect me to light a flare with one arm... They actually tried to claim I used a match 🤣
New fan laws: What do we think? in Fans ·
I’m guessing someone here might actually know the answer to this... Question: Is it possible to get convicted in court for setting off flares if the only person who saw it was a cop? If there’s video footage, it might show some other guy lighting them, but honestly, I doubt they even caught the person responsible on camera. Basically, can I be found guilty based solely on a cop's false testimony?
