hey ladies, listen up. if you’re out near the plains—you know, by that big bald monument with the disc thing—there’s an outlet store. they've got two items left, and honestly? the prices are a total joke. like, ridiculously cheap for any size. if you're hanging around the Maximilien area, you probably already heard the rumor.
Appeal for permanent ban from New York City in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, nobody’s perfect, and nobody’s born flawless either. I’m with everyone else here—I think you should lift that permanent ban. Honestly, there are way worse people out there getting a free pass just because they play nice with the right people.
Thanks so much, Rachel Palmer56, big hugs to you too!🙂

Thanks a million, you too. I just want everyone to be happy and full of life, you know? Just glowing, without that heavy sadness hanging over your eyes like it is for me right now. This is my first Christmas without everything feeling right, and honestly, I’m not even looking forward to anything. Nothing is ever the same once things change. I'm sitting here typing this out, and my eyes are just streaming tears.😢🙂
Angela Wright said:I think it’s more accurate to say that life just throws crap at you sometimes, but if you've got people you love—and who actually give a damn about you—especially if you still need more time to learn how to love and be loved, then you gotta fight for it and live life to the absolute fullest.
We're all just fragile little butterfly wings, really. The only difference is the style of flight we choose for ourselves.
May she rest in peace. Forever.

thanks, it dragged on for 8 months
Sadly, my sister lost her fight. She passed away on September 11th.

What started as one person's plea turned into this beautiful movement on Facebook...

Even the folks over at AllRecipes jumped in to help...
http://www.allrecipes.com/slika/2284987/

Let's all get behind this...
this is about moral support...for sick kids...their parents...real moral support for everyone fighting an illness...
Back in my 7th month...I survived a pulmonary embolism. On the third day when things finally seemed stable...pneumonia with effusion hit me. I had such incredible support from family and friends...my doctors...honestly, I don't know how I would've made it without that support...In the ICU, you often feel like you're nothing more than just a body...people talk to you, sure, but most of the time...it's just doctors and nurses...working themselves to the bone...just trying to keep your body functioning....I was practically begging for those thirty minutes of visiting time like it was sunshine...those moments fly by in a blink...every single phone call...made my day....every little chat about mundane, everyday stuff...that's what life felt like to me....Even though I'm still recovering...I'm a mother, a wife, a friend, a godmother...once I walked out of that hospital...I stopped being "the patient"...
My story...http://www.allrecipes.com/clanak/u-jednom-trenu/
Later....

I'm honestly just glad her outcome was good, but my sister ended up with the exact same symptoms, only they diagnosed her with cancer, and unfortunately, it's already spread.

The only thing we can do is show up every single day and hold her up, watching her literally fade away right in front of us. It's brutal to watch. I really hope fewer people have to deal with something like this.
Angela Wright said:Look, what can I even say... that's just life. People get sick, people age, people drift apart... but honestly, life is also about how you deal with this crap. No matter how much it sucks, it's all part of the natural order, and we've got these built-in survival instincts that somehow keep us upright.
Just try to stay rational and, like I said, don't go staring down the barrel of the future any further than tomorrow. You tackle obstacles when they actually show up in front of you, once you recognize them for what they are. Nothing and nobody can ever truly prepare you for absolutely anything. But look, we all carry this strength inside us that we don't even realize is there. That's just my experience. I've lost a ton of things, but life finds a way to pay it back—mostly through my kids.
Be brave. It'll work out somehow. The main thing is to keep your cool and stay composed, because if you lose that, you lose your dignity too.

thanks for the advice😢
Angela Wright said:Apparently, she’s got some kind of blood clotting issue going on, which is why those clots keep popping up... nobody can say how much longer this will drag on, but she's definitely in that high-risk zone. Man, I am so incredibly sorry. Honestly, when things get this heavy, you can't do anything but take it one day at a time and just deal with whatever hits you next. She's at the hospital, which is the only place she can actually get help, and they're doing everything they can to stabilize her, so we just have to put it all in God's hands and hope for the best.
Just stay by her side and try to keep your head up. It's a good thing she had the surgery; that's really the best way to tackle the root of the problem.
Don't go looking down the road. Don't think about anything further than tomorrow. It's totally counterproductive.

Thanks. Just when you think things are finally turning a corner, boom—total shock. It's just me, my mom, and her. My sister is 58, and honestly, I have so much respect for people who have the strength to face this stuff, but I'm terrified for both of them. My mom is 83... if she goes too...

I don't even know...
I’ve been lurking here for a while, reading everything you guys post, and honestly, my sister just got hit with liver cancer. She had surgery a few months back—they said it went well, they managed to take out part of her liver and gallbladder.
She spent a month and a half stuck in the hospital. It was a nightmare. She had one stroke, then caught a pulmonary embolism and spent five days in the ICU because she keeps developing these blood clots.
They finally let her come home five days ago so she could recover enough to actually start chemo, but then today? Boom. Another stroke. Now she’s right back in the ICU. I called the intensive care unit, but all they’ll tell me is that the left side of her body is weak. That’s it.
Can anyone tell me how many times this can happen? I mean, seriously, she’s never smoked and she doesn't even drink. How does this even happen?
I just can't wrap my head around the idea that she might not make it. It feels impossible to accept.
Maybe I’m just being irrational, but I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this kind of reality?div>

That one over in Westgate is kind of a joke—there’s basically nothing there, just a few hangers and you're done. I liked the one above the grocery store near the CCO West mall, but does anyone know if there's another spot like that?
Personally, I think KIK is decent; I picked up some cotton pieces and they’ve held up okay. I have this sweater that looks brand new even though it’s a couple years old, whereas my stuff from C&A was like three times the price and started pilling after literally three wears.
Not sure if people know this, but you can actually get Bonprix stuff through eKupi.
Also, sometimes you can find gems on that Bfashion site—right now they've got some OVS work trousers for like $6 or so.
Is there any shop around town that isn't in a huge mall and isn't overpriced places like Max Size or Gjuro XXL?

There's a spot in the city just one subway stop past the Citigroup Tower. You cross over and walk toward the Trešnjevka market. It’s a small shop catering to fuller figures, prices are solid, and the stuff is actually cute.

Look, you don't argue about taste. If you hate something, fine, but maybe someone else thinks it's the greatest thing ever. That's just how it works.

Check out Target, honestly they’ve got a massive selection in pretty much every size.

copperfox172 said:Hey @Chloe Garcia98, what kind of ankle boots or winter footwear are you wearing these days?
I’m pretty athletic—mostly just live in black tracksuits or joggers.
I was thinking about picking up some Ugg-style boots, but everyone keeps telling me that look doesn't work for someone tall and curvy like me.🤷
Anyone got any advice?😉

Honestly, these right here are the absolute best for winter. Most comfortable, warmest things ever.

And the best part? They actually have grip so you aren't sliding all over the damn sidewalk.
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Scott Martin51 said:Does lard work on internal hemorrhoids if you just rub it on the outside?
If not, how the hell am I supposed to get anything on the internal ones?

Just put some ointment on and shove your finger in there....

Scott Martin51 said:"you can't eat anything spicy or too acidic"
Is that because the hemorrhoids are just gonna come right back, or is there some other reason to skip the hot sauce and citrus?

Nah, it’s more about watching what you put in your body overall. The cold hard Fact is they flare up because of super spicy food. I've dealt with both the external and internal kind, and honestly, applying Fact cream and using those suppositories works wonders—but yeah, you usually need a prescription to get them.

Alright, here’s an old-school remedy I’ve actually tried and it really works; just rub some homemade lard on your hemorrhoids every single time you have a bowel movement.

It worked wonders for me and they're totally gone now, but listen—you can't be eating anything spicy or super acidic if you want results.
Mine flared up while I was pregnant, but after 20 days, they're completely vanished.☕

Look, I know this place is supposed to be about clothes or whatever, but I gotta ask—does anyone actually know where I can snag some decent, budget-friendly winter boots around here?☕
