Believe it or not, I've never actually stepped foot in a thrift store. 😬

Not gonna lie, those kinds of stores aren't really my scene. But after hunting for a basic maxi dress for ages and coming up empty, I’m honestly ready to walk into a Spencer’s just to find something.

Got any suggestions on where I should dive in?

If you’re hanging around the downtown area, there are about three spots right there, or maybe two if you head toward the outskirts.

I can't do that... I need everything to be just right, otherwise, I’ll honestly lose my mind.😁 🙄

Look, are you heading to the coast for yourself or for everyone else? Who cares what people think, seriously. It doesn't matter. All that matters is if YOU feel good.😉

cosmicnomad6 said:Where do you guys shop for swimwear? There’s absolutely nothing in my town that can handle my curves, and honestly, it’s driving me crazy. I won't even go to the beach because of it.

Man, you're stressing over nothing. Just throw on a tank top and hit the water.

James Martin4 said:I guess their pants just don't really work for the most part, neither in terms of the fabric or the cut, and it's not like the sizes aren't huge either. I haven't seen any decent plus-size pants in quite a while.

Look, if you head toward the downtown shopping district from the local farmer's market area, there's this boutique specifically for fuller figures right on the right side—it’s near that big bank building. Their stuff is actually pretty $33, they have a solid selection, so I’m betting you’ll find something that actually fits 😉.

It’s on El Paso, on the left side if you're heading in from the west.

Look, if you're in a major city, just hit up a Kohl's or a Target. They usually carry pretty much every size under the sun.😉

Jeffrey Edwards5 said:Hey, where can I find a maxi dress? Looking for an XL or maybe even an XXL.

Online shopping is out—I really need to try things on first. Buying blind just doesn't work for me.

I checked out C&A, but aside from this one image
nothing else looked decent.

Any ideas?

Why aren't you checking out thrift stores? They’ve got every size under the sun, and half the time they still have the tags on. It's basically brand new stuff from Europe.

So here I am again, stuck on this Medrol and Salazopyrin routine. My right arm is absolutely killing me—mostly the hand and elbow area, just constant tingling all over. >I went in to get some bloodwork done today, so hopefully the results from the lab will be ready in about a week.
If anyone else out there is dealing with similar issues, hit me up and let me know.🙄

Just gonna throw this out there: I finally got the green light for those 14 days at the medical spa,

They said they’d give me a call by the end of November, otherwise I’m stuck back on the salazopyrin twice a day and popping Indomethacin just to deal with the pain. My left arm is basically useless right now, 😢

I'm convinced there's a solution out there, because nothing happens in the body by pure coincidence... Of course, some people are born with certain conditions, but if you were perfectly healthy growing up and things only started changing later on, it suggests that something internal has shifted...

It's either something that hits you as you get older, or it's genetic—that's when it shows up.

I’m 42 years old, and I’ve been dealing with psoriasis since I was 33—something I actually managed to get under control through orthomolecular medicine. Since I was 35, I’ve also been living with Sjogrenov syndrome, and over the last few months, psoriatic arthritis has started to really take a toll on me. I’m feeling it in my hand joints, fingers, knees, and heels; it tends to be asymmetrical, which I understand is what distinguishes it from rheumatoid arthritis, where you typically see symmetrical joint involvement.
I was prescribed some NSAIDs, but I’ve decided to stop taking them for now because the side effects were just too much for me to handle.
From what I’ve gathered while researching PA lately, the most effective natural approaches seem to involve turmeric and ginger, alongside fish oil (omega-3s), vitamin C, and zinc, as well as doing a heavy metal detox and maintaining a regular exercise routine.
If anyone here has gone down this path with natural remedies, I would love to hear your thoughts—do they actually make a meaningful difference?

Look, exercise always helps, but I haven't messed with any herbal remedies yet. As for the skin issues, I've heard angelica root cream is supposedly good.🤷

wiredotter12 said:Before my urethral swab came back positive for Klebsiella pneumoniae and Enterococcus faecalis, my internist gave me this diagnosis:
  • Arthritis reactive in remission &
  • Polyarthralgiae

I'm not sure if that's still the official status, 🤷but I finished my 10-day course of Ciprofloxacin 500mg and I'm currently just taking one 500mg tablet of Salazopyrin daily.

The swelling in my knees and joints is down about 30-40%. It hasn't vanished, though. I'll need another swab to confirm if the Ciprofloxacin actually killed off the bacteria.

So far, my blood work, urine tests, CRP, and stool samples have all come back normal.
Do you have any suggestions for further testing? Maybe seeing an immunologist or an infectious disease specialist?

Man, I honestly don't know. I had my blood drawn, checked my liver, kidneys, all that stuff, and everything comes up fine. Right now I'm taking Salazopyrin twice a day, morning and night, Voltaren Rapid for the pain, and 5mg of Normabel to help with the muscle tension.

A urethral swab came back positive for Klebsiella and Enterococcus faecalis...
For the next 10 days, I’m on Ciprofloxacin 2 x 500 mg, followed by one 500 mg tablet of Salazopyrin daily for the next 3-4 months.

Has anyone dealt with similar issues or heard any firsthand accounts?
Feel free to DM me. Thanks.

So, you've done all the testing, but what’s the actual diagnosis?

Just bumping this thread because I finally had my follow-up with the rheumatologist. Still stuck on the Salazopyrin twice a day, and even after trying those thermal springs in Colorado, absolutely nothing has changed. Honestly, it’s a joke. To top it all off, I just noticed some weird skin changes starting up on my right thumb too.

So I popped into KIK the other day, and honestly? Total shocker. I am absolutely not feeling it. It’s just endless piles of cheap plastic and synthetic junk everywhere you look. Seriously, you’re better off hitting up a local flea market or a roadside stand if you actually want something that isn't going to fall apart in five minutes. Total waste of time.

I guess I'll take a peek at Ariat then.

I checked out Macy's, but nothing really caught my eye.

Hey, I sent you a DM, but I think the forum glitched out on me. I might have like two skirts in my closet, but I'm still on the fence about them. 😁
Give me a few days to wrap my head around everything and I'll hit you back. 😁

Planet Footwear has a killer selection and the prices are actually decent.😉
