You've mostly just got watches, sorry, but you're still pricier than a Secondhand Shop outlet🤷

Just one more thing though, because I feel like we might have had a bit of a misunderstanding here. Honestly, that cap caused me nothing but trouble before, so if it’s all good, I’d much rather skip it entirely. I was thinking maybe something a bit more laid-back, kind of like the model in the photo above, just without the brim. To be honest, having a hat like that just totally messes with my sense of direction, I guess.🤷

So I was asking my buddy about this whole hat situation, right? And he tells me—get this—if you just go out and buy like four ounces of whatever wool catches your eye, then boom, you’ve basically got yourself a hat. Simple as that. No big deal. Just grab the wool and call it a day. Honestly, people overcomplicate everything. It's just wool. Whatever. $20Look, if you actually want her to buy it for you, then fine. Go for it. But don't come crying to me when it happens. $23Honestly? She’d be done in like, one day. Easy. One shot and boom—finished.

No biggie. No sweat. It’s all good.😉

I used to wear the one I have in front for a little while, but honestly, it’s just such a pain now because I’m always wearing glasses and I end up getting all blinded by the glare. Don't even ask me how or why, but whenever I throw on a hat, it just clashes with my glasses, and then they start slipping down, so I’m basically spinning in circles trying to fix both at once. And of course, it always happens right when I'm driving. I mean, if I'm just spinning around on the subway it’s whatever, but I’ve realized it gets super awkward sometimes.

So, if you could make it... yeah, I’d really appreciate that. And maybe in like an off-white or dirty white color? Just shoot me a DM with the price. 🎉

edit: See how it looks a bit wider and more comfortable? That’s kind of what I’m going for. I want enough room so my head and hair actually fit inside comfortably. Plus, I need space for my headphones when I'm walking around listening to music.🙂

I totally feel you. I’m rocking glasses too, and honestly? I finally just chopped my hair short because I was done. Seriously, I couldn't deal with the constant upkeep anymore—always fixing it, tucking it under a beanie, and then the second you take the hat off, you look like a cow just licked your head. Total disaster.

So, this wool beanie? A close friend of mine actually made it. I’m gonna give her a shout tomorrow to see what she’s charging for it. Honestly, ever since I started wearing it, I feel like a whole new person. Total game changer.
The brim's actually got a bit more reach forward now, so you don't have to worry about snow gunking up your glasses. Plus, it’s huge—super comfy. It’ll swallow up all your hair easily if it hits your shoulders.😉

A friend of mine actually made this for me. If you're feeling it, I can hit her up and see what she's charging?😉

Black is just... it’s everything. It goes with absolutely anything. And that shade of black? Totally classic. I tried all those other colors too—tried everything under the sun, honestly—but nothing hits quite like black. It’s the winner. Always.😉

Look, I can't deal with this pitch-black vibe. It’s honestly grating on my nerves.🤷

So I’m sitting here reading all your posts and honestly, I gotta ask—has anyone checked out Second Shop lately? They’ve got these killer suede leather jackets for only $67, and seriously, the quality is legit. I’ve been eye-balling them for a minute now, but there's one huge catch: they're all small sizes. And you guys know me, I can't stand a tight fit; if the jacket isn't baggy and comfortable, I don't want it. 🤷😉

I remember hearing about it ages ago, but I can't seem to recall any of the specifics...

Can't recall the exact number, but it's just a block away from the Citigroup tower, near the plaza.

So I went ahead and grabbed two coats during the end-of-season sale, you know, for winter. One’s this flashy gold color, and the other is just a plain cream

nimbleheron47 said:That DP dress finally arrived last week—just haven't had a second to actually try it on yet. It’s not painfully short, but then again, it doesn't hang quite as long on me as it does on my aunt. It's a manageable kind of "short."
As for everything else—it’s lovely. A bit unconventional, exactly what I was hunting for. 😍

Today I finally pulled the trigger on something from the ASOS Curve collection. I know the Curve sizing runs larger and they use a flatter cut than the "standard" line, but ever since this jacket popped up, I haven't been able to think about anything else 🤣. Plus, the material looks like that flatter cut and slightly oversized fit won't be such an issue—at least, I hope not.

Anyway, by the time they put it on sale, the UK 18 was already snatched up, and honestly, I wasn't about to pay full price 😬. One finally popped up today (now that it's marked down), so being lucky, I scrambled to get my card ready immediately. 😳

Just so you know, I actually had these turmeric capsules custom-ordered through my doctor, though you could certainly whip up a homemade version yourself if you wanted to.
The physician who formulated them emphasized how vital it is to incorporate anti-inflammatory oils into your regimen to help tackle the underlying inflammation that seems to shadow every case of arthritis. It also seems to go a long way in calming down psoriasis flare-ups.

As for the psoriasis, mine went straight for the joints, my left elbow, and my nails. It was a mess.
And don't even get me started on the arthritis, n
I know the feeling all too well. There are mornings where the pain is so intense I can barely even make it to the bathroom without feeling like I've been run over by a truck.

feralcanyon97 said:My grandmother is also battling psoriatic arthritis, though her case was triggered by post-operative shock. It all started with a bout of pustular psoriasis that manifested exclusively as blisters on her hands and the soles of her feet. The onset was so sudden and aggressive that her doctors initially mistook it for dyshidrosis. Since there’s no history of psoriasis in our family (as far as we know), nobody suspected the true cause until she underwent a skin biopsy. Following that, the joint issues hit hard. The pain became so debilitating that even a quick trip to the corner store or using the restroom felt impossible; poor thing, she wouldn't even ask for help, she would just try to crawl through the pain herself. She eventually had a bone scan which showed "radioactive uptake" around her ankles. She was prescribed Salazopyrin by her specialist, who is wonderful, but the side effects are brutal and she struggles to tolerate it. Because of that, I’ve started getting her turmeric oil capsules along with anti-inflammatory oils like black currant and hemp to take twice a day. I’m really hoping this provides some relief. These "mainstream" medications can be incredibly harsh and loaded with side effects. If the turmeric helps her turn a corner, I’ll definitely post an update here.

thanks🙂

Andrew Kelly says:
First thing that hit me was my hip joints. It got so inflamed it pinched a nerve—classic sciatica vibes—and I basically couldn't walk. Doctors were clueless, too. They spent two whole months telling me it was just standard sciatica while I was literally dying from the pain. Then, out of nowhere, my finger joint swelled up, and they finally connected the dots that it was a joint issue. Sent me off to the hospital for tests, and boom: psoriatic arthritis. I'm doing okay now, mostly. Sometimes my hip still acts up, and one of my finger joints is swollen and doesn't work quite right. My immune system is a total wreck. I exercise every single day and eat everything in sight. Some days I forget I even have this, then suddenly the pain hits and I get all depressed thinking about how I’m stuck with this for life. I haven't had kids yet, so I have no clue how that's gonna play out. Did you actually get an official diagnosis?

I'm basically taking meds meant for rheumatoid arthritis because there isn't a specific cure for this version. Rheumatology is still such a black hole, honestly. At first, they tried telling me it was genetic. I even did an antigen test, but it showed absolutely nothing.🤷>
I've got an appointment at Mayo Clinic in 12 months with Dr. Jajić. Are you seeing them?

Andrew Kelly said:I have it too. I take Salazopyrin and some Voltaren when things get bad—I was officially diagnosed earlier this year. It first showed up in my index finger on my right hand, and it's actually warped it quite a bit; I can't even move it properly anymore. It's also hitting my sacroiliac joints in my hips. Luckily, I'm in a bit of a good phase right now... though I am only in my twenties.

Man, you're pretty young. Did they have to keep you in the hospital while they ran all those tests?
It hit every single joint for me. Started with stiffness and that finger on my right hand, but now my other hand joints are killing me, and my neck is a mess too...

coppermaker19 said:Thanks. It's not far at all, so I think I'll actually head over there. I haven't really stepped foot in any of those SH shops before.

Ever since I started being out on medical leave, I’ve been hitting them up constantly. You always manage to find some new gear still with the tags on.😉

Across from that Visoko grocery store on Badaličeva—you know, just one block over from the Trešnjevka market heading toward the Citigroup Tower. There’s a Kraš shop right next to it, too.😉

I am honestly obsessed with this DP dress. I’ve been hunting for a long black maxi for ages—something totally basic and casual, but with just one little interesting twist.

I love how this back cutout looks 😍; it's closed enough that I can actually wear my padded bra underneath 🤣. That is always my struggle with summer dresses—those tiny spaghetti straps just don't work with a standard bra, or—*good grief*—trying to go strapless.

So happy with this find. 😍

It won't be floor-length like the lady in the photo—typical for DP stuff—but it hits all the right spots, so I'll live with that. 🙂

Btw, my leather jacket finally arrived. Just like I thought, it looks a hundred times better in person than in the pictures. 😍 I don't have a second to snap a photo right now, but I'll get to it in a few days. 🙂

It's stunning and looks really classy.

So I hit up this thrift store yesterday and snagged these black pants, size 14, for just $3.25, 😉
