Greetings. Does anyone happen to know if our lovely FedEx actually moves things over the weekend? (To be more precise, my package was dispatched on Thursday... is there any realistic chance I might see it by Monday?)
I won't go through the trouble of quoting everyone right now, but regardless... I’ve finished these workouts, and honestly, I feel like I could push even harder. I actually found someone to hit the gym with. I suppose I’m a little intimidated, if I’m being honest; this whole thing is still quite foreign to me. However, the consensus seems to be that having a partner is vital just for those initial sessions, and after that, it doesn't really matter much. I am going to head straight to bed now so that I have sufficient energy for the entire day tomorrow.
In any case, thanks for the advice. I’m definitely keeping a gym membership in mind. Does anyone else have recommendations for stuff I can just do at home? I was thinking about picking up some dumbbells or maybe a resistance band?
I don't have much to work with here. I'm quite slender—about 120 pounds at 5'7". And honestly, do you really think I can just waltz into a gym right now? I haven't the slightest clue what any of the equipment even looks like. I actually had to search Google just to figure out what a deadlift was.🤦
So, I am sitting here Googling away, but I can't seem to find anything that actually hits the mark. To be perfectly honest, I am a beginner in the most extreme sense of the word. I haven't done any real physical activity since my high school gym classes. Well, technically, I tried indoor rock climbing for about two months back in the day, but I had to quit because of a move. That was when I realized just how much I had neglected my body. During those two short months, I saw some minor progress, but the instructors kept telling me I lacked strength—especially in my legs. I’m quite thin, weighing about 117 lbs at 5'7". What I really want is to get back the curves I used to have. I want to get rid of this flabbiness! My goal is to pack on maybe 15 or 20 pounds of muscle so everything goes to the right places. Ideally, I’d like to tone up my entire body. For now, though, I don't want to join a gym; I have zero time, and frankly, I wouldn't even know what to do there. I'd probably just end up standing around feeling ridiculous and never go back... Can anyone recommend an actual workout program, a specific video, or honestly, anything? I truly have no idea where to start. I'm not looking for those light, breezy morning stretches you see on local TV news; I want to actually work hard. I want to feel exhausted. Also, would you suggest running along with this? I suspect that if I start running, I'll just lose even more weight, which is the last thing I want right now. Please, help me out. Just walk me through the basics, and then I can gradually increase the intensity, try something new, perhaps pick up a sport, or eventually hit the gym.
I realize I might be a bit of a bore to all you experts, but half of what you guys are discussing on this forum looks like total hieroglyphics to me. 😵
About ten days ago, I was having absolutely no luck trying to find a movie anywhere. I ended up downloading some random torrent, but I couldn't get the file to open at all. Did you guys end up streaming it instead?
Well, sure, if a police officer actually asks for it. But my real question is whether the bus driver is just going to let people off on their own whim without me being able to report it... this isn't even a police matter, it's a Customs issue.
I am planning a shopping trip over to Canada, and in the past, I’ve successfully filed for tax refunds at the border whenever I returned to the States. However, I usually drive my own car back. This time, I think I’ll be taking a bus instead. Is it actually possible to claim a tax refund when traveling by bus? Has anyone here dealt with this before? I am a bit concerned about whether the drivers will even allow it—since you supposedly have to step off the bus to sign all those papers in a little booth, I’m worried they might deny the request just because of the inconvenience to the other passengers.😵
I picked up a laptop just a week ago and got Windows 8 installed on it, but now my hot corners have completely stopped working. You know, when you move the mouse to the edges or the corners, nothing happens—no menus pop up, and I can't get back to the main screen. Instead, I'm forced to click Start, then go to the Start screen, and once I've opened an app, I have to rely on the Windows key just to snap back to the desktop. I did some digging online and apparently this can happen because of an update... though I haven't actually run any updates myself. I just want them back. I've grown quite fond of using them! 🙂
Jason Morales88 said:I own all her CDs; she definitely has some killer tracks, but honestly, it gets repetitive after a while. There’s this certain wail in all her songs that eventually just starts to grate on my nerves.
Exactly. That's the thing... you finally feel like you can breathe once you switch to something else.
I really love her 🙂 ...she has such an incredible voice... though I find I can't listen to her for too long before it starts feeling a bit overwhelming... "May It Be" remains one of my absolute favorites.
