Look, here's the deal:
I've got this 17-inch laptop running Windows 10, and occasionally I just unwind by playing Asphalt 8: Airborne.
The game was running smooth as silk until last night.
Last night, I fired up the game and out of nowhere, the resolution just reset itself from 1600x900 down to 1024x768.
I tried switching it back to 1600x900, but now it’s flagging 1024x768 as the "recommended" setting.

Now, every time I relaunch this game, the lag is so bad it's practically unplayable.

What do you guys think?

The laptop is an HP ProBook 4720s

The battery is tucked away in such an awkward spot that I’d practically have to gut the entire thing... even the screen

I've got this laptop and I was trying to tweak some BIOS settings, but the damn thing is password protected.
Tried a few different workarounds myself, but nothing worked. If anyone actually knows a reliable way to bypass this, I’d appreciate the help.

An i5-520m is barely an upgrade over something like a T9500. Honestly, you might be better off paying more to go the other way. Not to mention how much higher the build quality is on an EliteBook compared to that Dell.

Core 2 Duo t9550 2.66 GHz, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB HDD...

So he's just offering a slightly better hard drive and a marginally better processor, then wants $120 for it 😕.....plus his graphics card is 1 GB while mine is only 250 MB ...how much should I ask him to pay me, Benjamin King2? 🙂

How much extra would you guys pay for a Dell Inspiron 15 (i5, 4GB RAM, 1GB graphics) if you’re currently rocking an HP EliteBook 6930p? I'm talking a straight-up trade.
