Request to remove an insane moderator

A pseudo-moderator of that caliber would certainly be a welcome addition to the Religion section on the Adobe PDF. 😬

Has there been a sudden shift toward moderation excellence? Are they just sitting on their hands now? Or have we all collectively matured and decided to stop disagreeing with everything? Perhaps everyone is just too exhausted to complain anymore.
Personally, I find myself lamenting the lack of complaints; things have become rather tedious here. It used to be easy to gauge the pulse of Reddit.
Then again, I could easily step into those moderator shoes myself. You all know my ambitions. 🙂
Casey Bennett said:That rule dates all the way back to 2006. As most people here are already aware, using clones is tacitly permitted as long as you aren't abusing them.
For instance: if you find yourself banned and decide to start posting via a clone, that is a massive "no-no."
Or if you're using multiple profiles within the same thread—absolutely not, unless it's an extreme exception where you've cleared it with a moderator first.
It gets even worse when you're not just using multiple profiles on one topic, but actually patting yourself on the back to artificially boost your own rating (LOL. Goodbye and send a postcard).
Using different profiles within the same subforum but on separate threads is tolerated, though it’s wise to notify the mods to avoid any misunderstandings.
Any situation where you've forgotten your password or lost access to your email and can't reset it is easily handled through the forum help desk. Furthermore, if a clone is created due to one of those situations—much like what happened with mellowbadger0—and you continue posting solely from that account, there is no issue at all.

Technically, you can maintain two accounts as long as your primary one hasn't been banned.
I used my first account extensively on the spirituality and mysticism boards, and I eventually found myself overwhelmed by an influx of private messages, which became rather exhausting over time.

Casey Bennett said:After looking into this—essentially running some consultations—here is the breakdown: you are perfectly free to maintain a list of users you have muted, provided you don't wrap it in a layer of unnecessary provocation.
For instance, saying "Here is my ignore list: User A and User B..." is completely acceptable.
However, framing it as "The idiots on my ignore list: User A and User B" is where we draw the line; that simply isn't okay.
I trust that clarifies things. 😁
Casey Bennett said:There aren't any official rules right now—Andrlon just pulled them down temporarily—but don't think that means anything goes.
Stick to the old standards: keep signatures to a maximum of three lines using the smallest font size, absolutely no insults, no advertising, and if you’re quoting someone else on this Forum, you have to include a direct link to their post...
If anyone needs help tweaking their signature—say, hiding a URL behind some text or shrinking the font size—just ask here in this thread.

Not really sure where this fits, so here goes.
You guys might not get it. Ehh, how do I even start this?
Back in High School, I hit a massive depressive slump—couldn't drag myself out of bed, couldn't focus on school, couldn't deal with friends. Plus, the classes at my school were incredibly dull.
Just total depression.
And then what happened? I bullied a few girls back then, and now, somehow, it’s like I can’t move forward in life. And I’m 30 now.
I’m talking about work. Finding a job feels impossible. I’m not exactly a "people person"—I get bored with things too fast—and the people I actually meet tend to avoid me or stop calling.
Can't find a decent guy either, just guys looking for sex.
I could live for another 150 years and still not find anyone worth keeping.
I've held a few jobs, but they were all temporary gigs.
At my last job, they treated me like garbage—constant criticism, making me feel small, just constant nonsense.
Even when I'm just walking down the street, I feel like I'm hearing sarcastic comments from everyone.
I honestly feel like all of this is happening because of those mean things I said in high school.
Like karma. A boomerang hitting me in the face.
What do you think? Is this because of those messages from back then?
For context, I started withdrawing into myself pretty early—around 7th grade. I just didn't want to hang out with anyone anymore.
I even saw therapists, but nothing really helped.
When I graduated from High School, a few former classmates added me on Facebook just to verbally attack me. In the end, I was the one made to look like the villain again.
Maybe it would have been smarter if I hadn't said anything to them.
I don't know.
Is there anyone here who actually has an answer? Someone who can make sense of this?
