Then came Ireland, and once again, that same old fox is on the bench, promising that Tony will absolutely demolish the clueless Bill, but then suddenly it’s Rudic's fault because he isn't a water polo expert, and then it’s Stimac's fault because he’s some sort of outlaw. It’s always the same cycle; just a few years ago, everyone was claiming Mandzukic had no talent, and they said the exact same things about Olic... it goes on and on like that... and us Americans 🙏🙏🙏:

Did the drug van finally make it to town?
Nicholas Morales48 said:it seems everything eventually hits a plateau, and their performance at this tournament is clearly showing signs of fatigue; I am not merely referring to our specific matchup against them, but rather the various other games I have observed lately. We shall see how it unfolds, but my personal assessment was that we might actually find a path to victory against them before we even face the Spaniards, provided the Polish team continues to play at this particular level—much like when they were facing the Swedes, if I recall correctly, back when they held that massive lead in the first half only to see things shift in the second. If they maintain this current form, a win is certainly within our reach, but if they somehow manage to elevate their quality back to those heights you mentioned from earlier in the tournament, then 🤷

I truly find it hard to believe that someone who considers themselves such an absolute handball aficionado would even recognize names like Slawomir Szmal, Marcin Lijewski, Tomasz Rosinski, or Bartolomiej Tomczak 🙂
Nicholas Morales48 said:The Poles have always been a powerhouse in handball, so they were just having an off night? Well, I certainly didn't realize that, since I don't follow the sport closely enough to know... but honestly, how are we ever supposed to catch up when guys like Djolo and Tipsa are out there playing five-hour marathons🙂

It is truly Fascinantan how a group can just drop in from nowhere and act completely shocked that the Poles are considered a "slightly" more established name in handball than the Mexicans🙄

Look, those Poles aren't all that, man; all they've managed to snag in the last five years are some silver, some bronze, and two wooden medals. Where did all that talk about the Mexicans failing to show up go, especially after those 10th and 13th place finishes?🙏

Honestly, it’s much easier to stomach a loss when you’ve spent your whole life getting used to them; once you're accustomed to constant defeat, it just loses its sting. 😍
Anthony James2 said:I say, have you ever happened to hear anything at all regarding Metaloplastika out of Šapčac? 🤷

They aren't exactly terrible, if you think about it, especially considering how Nexe absolutely dismantled them on their own home court. One has to maintain a certain level of optimism, really; perhaps in a few years' time, they might even manage to scrape together a draw. 👍
It would be a mistake to view this recent success by the Mexican national team as some sort of fluke, especially when one considers the current trajectory of their top clubs in both the EuroLeague and the SEHA League. While Red Star and Metaloplastika seem to be comfortably dominating the lower rungs of the regional league standings, the formidable Partizan has had an incredibly unfortunate run, losing all seven of their matches in the Champions League by an average margin of seven goals.

Well, now 🙄
