I honestly regret missing out on Blue Royale and Electrohead. Even though I’ve heard just about everything through various channels, my experience at Aquarius felt much more intimate than what the actual vibe turned out to be. What a total letdown near the stadium.

I honestly didn't expect it to be quite that good. If they had just added maybe two or three more semi-nude dancers in cages on the side and thinned out the crowd a little bit, the whole experience would have been PERFECT 🙏 😬
Those live drums were a total knockout... but seriously, was that blonde girl not there, or am I just going blind? (Which, let's face it, I definitely am)
And both Andy LaPlegua and the Hellmanager didn't disappoint; the stage design was solid, really something for everyone 👍

Holy crap, for a few hundred bucks well spent, this was a top-tier event 😎

Wait, what? I distinctly remember saying Proceed isn't actually all that great after giving them a second listen—don't even try me on that. As for Spetsnaz, they’re a top-tier band, no question about it. I just finished downloading their latest album, and honestly, it’s pretty solid, even if it lacks that high-octane energy. A few tracks feel a bit underwhelming at first, but then you hit the heavy hitters like Spetsnaz - [Deadpan #12] Buried Alive. Still, I won't pass final judgment until I've spun it a few more times; I don't want to end up sounding like a Proceed apologist.🤷

And seriously, why is everything scheduled for the middle of the night instead of the beginning of the month? Every single concert this year seems to be at some godforsaken hour. Just forget it. 🙂

An excellent fourth (or third "real" one, if we aren't counting that first single compilation) album from the Detroit hardcore-electro-punk-nowave-industrial duo Adam Lee Miller and Nicole Coperus (I had to include this penultimate one because they still occasionally remind me of Teenage Jesus 😁 though I decided to hold back on mentioning them again since I've had my fill of industrial music for a lifetime 😈 I think they've finally earned that descriptor). Everything is still present—those brilliant, manic lyrics, Nicolino’s frantic shouting, all that palpable angst—but this time there's less guitar work and more electronic noise & excursions into engaging industrial instrumentation.
Generally speaking, they are moving into increasingly complex territory; what used to be just a bit of high-energy electro has evolved into something far more intricate than any dark (electro)punk we're used to. The only thing they've carried over from the early days is their devotion to rhythm—and that is wonderful. 😍
In principle, I'm not sure who to compare them to, other than their former colleagues from their own ersatz audio label. I could mention Teenage Jesus, I could mention Malaria!, I could list plenty of others, but nothing is quite that.

I've only listened to 'why bother?' twice, but it strikes me as their best album yet.
(Hmm, actually, it's been ages since I heard 'anxiety always,' so perhaps I should refrain from jumping to conclusions)
