We caught their set the other day at a club in Austin, and honestly, whoever was in charge of the sound system should probably just hand in their resignation 🙂
The girl was screaming like she was about to have a kidney failure, yet we couldn't hear a single thing... even standing two feet away from her 🙄
But hey, at least the drummer was 😍 you know, more than enough

Thanks to that wonderful habit of those swampy club DJs—listing every single band on the flyer or the lineup—I managed to successfully dodge that Florida-style amateur DJ during all my years of partying in New York🙂 except for those few times when the club hosted those massive, overpriced blowout parties costing eight hundred bucks🙂
I mean, I am being dead serious here: playing The Smiths and the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the same set? That is just madness.🙂

Honestly, I’m still a bit traumatized after some guy back in high school recorded a set of their later stuff for me. What even is that godless music they make now? The thought of actually trying to track down those albums again gives me genuine anxiety.

As for their earlier discography, though, that’s still gold standard. 👍

It would be pretty fitting to blast 'Assimilate' as a sort of 😬 right about now, but let’s be real—who’s actually going to go through the effort of hunting it down? ☕
