He completely dominated them when he showed up, but that was just a short-term anomaly... yeah... Kasparov.

Thinking about buying a GTX 970:

You can't actually access all 4GB of VRAM without hitting a massive performance wall. The internet is flooded with this news, and over on the https://forums.geforce.com/default/t...-issue/geforce forums, there's a single thread spanning over 280 pages from users looking to demand refunds.

Here’s a video on how Nvidia screwed over their customers (via PC Expert):

Go with Intel (SSD +530 + Series) if you want $27 better value. You get a 5-year warranty with it.

In my opinion, the Intel Core i5-3470 is a better bet for gaming than any AMD processor currently out there. At 3.2 GHz, it pulls in results that match or even beat the FX 8350 at 4.0 GHz—and they're priced about the same. You can also overclock it up to 3.8 - 4.0 GHz, all while pulling less power than the AMD alternative.

Benjamin King2 said:In the United Kingdom, prices start at £420, so I wouldn't call it a rip-off. It's basically the same price as over there.

Well, prices in the United States are $500 or $0.97 so we're right back to being ripped off. 😁

In short, it's a total rip-off.

Tell us what you actually need the PC for and we'll put together a much better build for less money.

Exactly, and the price is more than reasonable— $0.42 for an overclocked model (even if the boost is pretty minor):

At that price point, it’s not even worth considering.

For $33, you can pick up an HD 6870 instead.

It’s a shame she isn't available; she was a solid buy for a reference GTX 460.

I say reference because calling something an OC when the overclock is that negligible is just selling smoke.

You didn't list your power supply. If yours isn't up to the task, you can grab one here. That graphics card comes factory overclocked and features dual fans for better cooling. It’s more than enough for your resolution. Given how cheap memory is right now (4GB for $57), there's no point in settling for just 2GB.

If you already have a solid PSU, the price drops to $133.
