The power button on the case might just be acting up. I’d say try swapping it out with a reset cable and its corresponding switch to test things. If everything runs smoothly after that, you've found your culprit.

If you're struggling with a tough question, you'll probably find an answer faster if you ask it in a few different places. Different types of people hang out in different corners of the web.
After six years on this board, I think it's time to go looking for a new community.
That comment really shot yourself in both feet... The moderator IS the authority here, they aren't just pretending to be. Just look at how you handled your post... and there's plenty more where that came from. Not to mention the supermods and admins. You can complain all you want and head for the exit. There are endless forums out there where you'll run into the exact same thing for double-posting, or even get banned for insulting the staff.
So, best of luck to you...
Does that docking station support ATA drives? Are you positive the drive itself isn't faulty? Just because it's spinning doesn't mean it's functional. Try putting them back in that bin and see if the drive works. While you're at it, try burning that data onto about five Blu-ray discs... Do you even have a burner? On that old PC of yours, I mean...
A minor tweak to the PC Modding on the side panel...
Compared to the original...
I picked up the acrylic for next to nothing in Pittsburgh, so I won't be running any ads for them, but they cut it to shape right then and there... same goes for these side strips. I’m thinking about adding some engraving, though I haven't quite decided on a design yet...
As for lighting, I found LED modules at the same spot for $5.00 dollars per unit (each module has three LEDs and you can chain them together, 12V). I'll post an update once I get everything installed.
That's about it...
That’s it! At least I hope so, since I'm away right now, but everything is running smoothly here (E6600)...
Thanks!
Good day!
Does something like this actually exist? I've searched everywhere and found a few tools that require Core Temp or something similar to run in the background. What I'm really looking for is a standalone gadget—I'm asking because every suggestion I've received so far has been Speedfan, Core Temp, Real Temp, or similar apps... I need something that works entirely on its own.
Has anyone found a lead on where to find something like this, or is anyone else using a tool like that?
That's right, pulling the battery resets the BIOS settings.
I think you can make it work, provided the heatsink doesn't get in your way—though if it’s larger, it might be an issue. Personally, I’d clear everything out first. Metal shavings are a nightmare; they get into everything, and I just don't like mixing live electricity and sensitive electronics with flying metal particles. You'll thank me later...
Regarding the cutting itself... Drill some pilot holes at the corners of your intended square. It’ll make maneuvering the jigsaw much smoother. Just ensure the holes stay within your cut lines...
Edit: Just noticed you have an H80, so the heatsink shouldn't be an obstacle. Still, spending thirty minutes to strip it down and put it back together isn't a huge ask...
Well, whatever works for you. It can look great depending on how it's done.
Just a heads-up, if you're working on a case (not just a webpage), I’d strip everything out before you start cutting. Metal shavings are a total nightmare...
I wouldn't suggest using an angle grinder. You're better off with a jigsaw, provided you use a metal-cutting blade. That's how I handled it. It’s much more precise, and you won't have to worry about the grinder slipping and ruining the finish. Honestly, getting a clean finish at the end of a cut with an angle grinder is a real struggle. Just take your time; there's no rush. That's my process.
Are these the kind of grilles you're looking for?
Protective grilles for the vents
Good morning!
So, who exactly asked me to make a mess of these threads? Here’s the actual issue: after uninstalling everything and reverting to the Windows 7 defaults, none of my programs show any icons in the Open/Save dialog boxes. Icons in Explorer look perfectly fine, though. I’ve tried just about everything, and it’s getting so frustrating that I’m considering a clean reinstall. Does anyone know how to fix this? I would truly appreciate the help!
I honestly thought the overclocking community was a ghost town... where have all the PC Modding enthusiasts gone?
Just wanted to share that I spent yesterday working on a plexiglass panel. I needed a side vent because my Twin Frozr GPU blows hot air inside the case instead of out. I tried using a jigsaw for the cut, and let me tell you, it’s a total nightmare; the plastic melts and you have to stop every couple of inches.
For long, straight cuts, use a circular saw with the blade reversed so it scrapes rather than tears. Watch your speed, though, or the edges will chip.
For curves, a router or a handheld router is the way to go. It's incredibly effective. I cut through a sheet of plexiglass perfectly smooth without any issues.
Here it is:

What's the deal with Crossfire? 🤣
Hi there!
I'm looking for a rough estimate on the value of this setup:
EVGA 780i, Q9550, 4x2gb ddr2-800(OCZ gold), GTX 460 MSI hawk, Xilence eco 550w.
It isn't up for sale right now, but I'm curious about the price...
Thanks!
