Adobe InDesign tips and tricks?

Anyone here proficient in InDesign? I need some help putting together a few practice exercises for my college coursework. Happy to pay whatever is fair.
Anyone still running Windows 7?

Can I actually install Windows 7 on a brand-new laptop? I was told it wouldn't work on my current machine, but nobody bothered to tell me why.
She didn't wake up this morning
It’s been about three or four months since I was here asking for advice regarding my father-in-law, and unfortunately, he passed away just two months after his diagnosis. So, here I am again, though I suppose it's too late for any advice now. I'm sitting here by my sister's bedside, just watching her breathe. She was diagnosed a month ago—bronchial cancer with metastases in her brain, lungs, and bones. She's been at Rockefeller for about twenty days now. In the beginning, she had periods where she'd be awake for an hour or two, but for the last three days, she hasn't woken up; they've been ramping up the morphine. They tell me she isn't in pain, that her heart is strong and she's a fighter. But today she ran a fever, and her hands have started to swell slightly. The doctors won't give us a prognosis. How long can someone stay in this state? It is absolutely devastating to watch someone so young go through this.
My brother-in-law passed away yesterday morning. It’s only been two months since he got his diagnosis. He was truly one of the good ones—a soul so kind that I honestly believe God spared him from even more pain and suffering.
In my experience, Dr. Samia proved himself to be a top-tier expert. He managed to pinpoint the diagnosis just by looking at the discharge papers, and it turned out to be spot on. The PET scan—which was the first major test done a month after we discovered the brain metastases—showed how far things had spread: nodes in the neck, above the collarbone, under the armpit, the lung lining, and a massive pleural effusion. Starting PET radiation today, and then they’re planning to discharge him. We're at the Mayo Clinic. Honestly, I can't shake the feeling that there were too many lapses here, maybe some serious miscommunications. But I don't know; they just seem to have accepted that this is simply how it is.
Yeah, I noticed his prices aren't exactly cheap. Do Dr. Cepulic's patients actually go to him for their treatments, or does he just refer them out to a hospital in Chicago? I'm wondering how that works if we aren't local to Chicago.
wiredbear81, honestly, I'm looking for some insight here.
Has anyone here dealt with the Pimezon clinic? I noticed they offer second opinion reviews where an international medical board looks over your files. How long does it usually take to get their verdict? We’re unfortunately running out of time on our end.

Dexamethasone: Side effects and experiences?
in Health ·
It’s been pretty quiet on this thread lately, so hopefully someone jumps in. Does anyone know if someone with a stomach ulcer can safely take dexamethasone injections? It’s being considered to help reduce swelling during brain radiation treatment. I’ve actually had two different doctors give me completely opposite opinions on this—one says go for it, the other says absolutely not. If anyone has any insight or has dealt with something similar, please let me know.
Has anyone here actually gone through treatment at Aria? I'm trying to figure out how the whole process works. Do you send them your test results first so they can decide on a plan and order everything, or if you have the funds, can you just head over there for testing and treatment in person? I know my question might sound a bit clunky, but I hope you guys get what I'm asking.
What would you guys suggest for boosting the immune system? My brother-in-law is about to start radiation, and they mentioned chemotherapy too, though we’re still in the dark about the specifics of what he'll be getting. With this massive sea of supplements and products out there, I have no idea where to start. Honestly, price isn't an issue right now.
Female sterilization: What are your thoughts?
in Women's Health ·
Lola 27, I’ve been in that exact same state of panic before, and it was honestly the moment I made my decision. Of course, I talked it through with my husband first. He’s the type who won't even step foot in a dentist's office unless he's in actual pain, let alone anything else. But I was the one who was absolutely certain that I didn't want any more kids. In Cleveland, they don't just do tubal ligations; they go straight to salpingectomy—removing the tubes entirely.

Betty Nelson71, you might want to check which private clinics in the area offer laparoscopy. It’s worth giving them a call directly to see if they handle sterilization as well.

Personally, I feel that if a woman is certain she doesn't want more kids—or just doesn't want them at all—she should be the one to handle the sterilization. I mean, we can get divorced, sure, but why should he be the one penalized by being unable to start a new family down the road? From what I've heard, hospitals in Cleveland make the whole process pretty straightforward.
I forgot to mention that I’ve also got this really bitter taste in my mouth.
Doc says it isn't even related.

Hey everyone. Two days ago, I noticed something felt really off on one side of my face. I went to see my doctor, and he basically told me to just deal with it, claiming it’s facial nerve paralysis. Besides that, I’ve got this nagging pain in the back of my head and my jaw joint is killing me. So far, all they've given me is some Vitamin B12 and a referral for physical therapy. Is it even possible to make a diagnosis that quickly? Honestly, I'm freaking out—I'm terrified this might be a stroke or something worse.😢
Does anyone happen to know the hours for the Quest Diagnostics lab over on Vuk Vrhovac, and do I need to book an appointment ahead of time?
Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and ICU: Q&A
in Health ·
Hey everyone, I have surgery scheduled under general anesthesia in just a few days. I’ve already finished my pre-op consultation with the anesthesiologist. Back when I had thyroid surgery two years ago, they gave me something to take to calm my nerves before the procedure. I remember swallowing it, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in the recovery room. Honestly, I have zero memory of actually walking into the OR or talking to anyone—even though people tell me I was wandering around and chatting my way to the operating suite. All I recall is feeling totally buzzed, like I was drunk, and apparently being a bit of a nuisance. I can't remember the name of the medication. Personally, I thought it was great because I always get hit with massive panic right before entering the OR. I completely forgot to mention this experience to my current anesthesiologist. Does it really matter if they know? Should I specifically ask to speak to someone about this once I get to the hospital?
