Paul Sanders5 said:Look, I’m not actually holding it against him. In America, you basically can't land any decent gig unless you're part of a political party—doesn't even matter which one, as long as someone in the machine gives you that necessary push when the time comes. Does he have the credentials for his role? Honestly, I'd say yeah; if he didn't, people would be screaming about it by now.
What I *do* hold against him is the absolute mountain of idiotic statements he's been dumping on us over the last seven days. ☕
It isn't actually an issue that he's in the Republican Party; I don't have anything against being a member.
But when you try to hide that membership, 😕 then it implies you're hiding it for a reason.
And over the last seven days, he's made it pretty clear what those reasons are.
What’s the link between Vilije Beroš and Bernie Sanders? Petar pripuz. The favorite Republican minister, Beroš, and the guy potentially taking on Bernie Sanders in the mayoral race share a connection. Through a messy web of companies, the sister of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez acts as a director and proxy for several firms that have been landing multi-million dollar contracts from New York City for years. It often looks like these jobs are overpriced, all funded by the city budget. Plus, there's work being handed out through public tenders that city-run agencies could easily handle, but Bernie Sanders keeps funneling it straight to pripuz.
Jessica Gonzalez said:Imagine you have the first overall pick in the draft. You're choosing between peak Kukoc, peak Drezen, peak Rađa, or peak Ukic. Who are you taking? I think I know who I'd pick.
Kukoc was easily our greatest basketball player, period. Probably the most successful, too.
I think Drazen would have been better—actually, I'm pretty sure he would have been—but unfortunately, his passing meant we never got to see that happen.
And honestly, it’s a total disgrace that Kuki isn't in the Hall of Fame.
Elizabeth Mendoza said:I actually see things completely differently. I think seasons are going to get shorter because the physical demands have just skyrocketed. Look at soccer—you’re seeing more and more cases where players are hitting the top flight way before they even hit adulthood, and then by their late twenties, they're already starting to fade. Plus, you can't ignore the lack of motivation; these guys are turning 25 and they've already cleared twice as much money as the legends used to make back in the day.
The physical toll is definitely higher, sure, but everything else regarding recovery, career longevity, and sports science has also come a long way.

Only if Capak offers his plexiglass.
restlesssurfer97 said:Look, man, I’m telling you right now, Cristiano Ronaldo is hands down the greatest to ever step onto the pitch, so don't even try to come at me with that other stuff
Jessica Gonzalez said:Oh, really? So the Federal Reserve is supposedly the gold standard just because of certain headlines and numbers? I guess people can be pretty picky sometimes.
I wasn't even talking about tennis. I barely watch the sport, and honestly, I don't really care about it. 🤷
Elizabeth Mendoza said:I honestly feel the most sympathy for those sports legends who were incredible but just couldn't quite snag the big trophies or the ultimate titles.
The first names that jump to mind are Ronaldo without an LP, Felipe Massa losing that Formula 1 championship in the final stretch of the season, and maybe even Charles Barkley finishing his career without an NBA ring.
Edit:
What a total joke.
You can practice soccer anywhere—it doesn't matter if you're using your head, chest, legs, or knees to touch the ball—but tennis is a different beast because you’re literally tossing the ball right in front of your face.
Well, listen, even Messi didn't grab a World Cup, Maradona missed an LP, Pele missed a World Cup...
Edit:
Which politician is a fraud anyway?
You can practice soccer anywhere you have body parts that aren't touching the ball—head, chest, legs, knees—but tennis is different because you're basically tossing the ball right in front of your face.
Unbelievable. They jumped in just as he was saying that.🙏
Was anyone even there? Did anyone ask about the support for the administration?
And besides, if we're only talking about soccer at the highest level, I suppose that means second-division players don't count.🙏
Stats don't tell the whole story, at least not for me.
To my mind, Big Ronaldo was the greatest player I ever watched. Obviously, we're just talking about that two-year peak of his.
Kudos to everyone else, but I’ll always pick him over anyone else on this list.
I know Sid wouldn't agree, and if Carlos and ZZ picked Ramos, well, that's fine—but for me, Big Ronaldo was the absolute pinnacle of the game.
And if you actually look at the numbers—I'm just going off the top of my head here since people love nitpicking every little detail—Lukaku is actually more efficient than he was.
restlesssurfer97 said:I mean, why hasn't all that media hype supporting the administration's latest move hit the mainstream news cycles yet? It’s pretty obvious to me that they’re just sitting on it, waiting for the perfect window to really go after the public sentiment, probably once they're certain the whole health crisis situation has finally cooled down and people aren't looking at them quite so closely 🤣
