I’ll probably just hop on a bus or catch an auto-shuttle—nothing via those old backroads, thank goodness—so it should be a pretty smooth ride... plus, I actually find traveling easier at night since I can just zone out, pop some headphones on, and chill.
EDIT: Does anyone know roughly how much a cheap taxi would run to get there? And are there any buses running out of the Mill area?
Do you think it’s doable if I schedule my procedure for the morning and then catch a bus out of NYC around 10:00 PM? It’s not like I’m going to do massive damage by sitting up for a few hours instead of lying flat—I mean, it's just a little discomfort, right? Plus, it’s about a four-hour ride back to my hometown. It’s honestly the easiest way for me since the bus is free (I’ve got a pass!), and I don't really have anyone in NYC I can crash with for the night...:/
The lodging near the clinic is $133/night, which—let's be real—is a total killer on my student budget!
I’m going to be super specific with him about exactly what I’m looking for. Honestly, I’ll be happy as long as everything turns out straight—that's really my main priority. I just hope it doesn't end up looking crooked or uneven afterward. That's a safe bet, right? 🙂
@urbanbadger1/">@@urbanbadger1 I've definitely decided to go see him—most people I talk to swear by his work and have had great results... plus, the price point actually works for my budget, which helps.
I definitely wouldn't want a nose like that one :/ Honestly, I’m just dreaming of having a perfectly straight, smooth profile—nothing sticking out like that tip on the guy in the photo! Do you think it's smarter to go in for a consultation about a week beforehand, or should I just show up right at the scheduled surgery time?
lol who says I have confidence issues? honestly, I’ve got plenty of it—more than enough, actually...
It's just that I absolutely loathe my nose, and the second I see it, I immediately start spiraling thinking about how it looks from a profile view. If I could just get my nose and skin sorted out, I’d be freaking ecstatic with life, seriously. 🙂
So, I have the chance to go in for surgery with Dr. Tončić on September 22nd... on one hand, I’m totally stoked because I’d actually have enough time to recover before the fall semester kicks off on October 7th—which would be huge—but on the other hand, I’m feeling a little jittery since I have to make the final call today or tomorrow!
I keep playing this movie in my head of how I’ll feel once I see my new profile in the mirror—just seeing that smooth, balanced nose—and honestly, when I think about spending thousands of dollars on something that's going to last me a lifetime and finally kill off those insecurities, it feels so worth it.😁
So, I’ve decided to go see Dr. Tončić—he seems to have the best rates around! I'm heading in for a consultation in a few days. Has anyone here had a good experience with him?
But honestly, this response I got via email a couple of days ago has me feeling a little uneasy... :/ "We also appreciate the photos you sent over. After reviewing them, looking at the nose from a frontal view, we can't guarantee that the nose can be completely straightened. However, when looking at the profile, we can remove the hump, straighten the bridge, and lift the tip."
What do you guys think? Will my nose look good from the side once they fix the hump, slim it down, and give it that little lift?
So I sent an email over to Dr. Zoran Veir—fingers crossed—and we'll see what happens. Tončić is looking for $3667, so I’ll probably just head there for the surgery if I can't track down a better deal somewhere else!
Ivana, if I were to go private—meaning, I’m still basically in that first stage of deciding on surgery—I’ve pretty much made up my mind that I'm 100% going through with it...
I'm thinking about budgeting around $10 $0.00 or so—I mean, can you actually find a high-quality doctor for that kind of money? (I heard Tončić charges exactly $10k)—the most convenient and closest option for me would be seeing B. Glušac in San Diego, but I have no clue what his rates would be? here’s a photo of my nose right now
neonstag63 says a ton, which is exactly what I was looking for! 😉
But seriously—if I have a pretty clear idea of how I want my nose to look, what are the actual odds that someone would just toss $1,500 into the wind and end up with a nose that's crooked or just... off?
Money seems a bit tight right now—so I was wondering, do you think it’d be possible to get an operation scheduled with someone by the end of September? Or am I looking at a six-month wait just to get an appointment??
Man, those prices are getting pretty steep—makes you think twice, right? Anyway, I was wondering if it’s actually realistic to get an operation scheduled with someone before the end of September? Or am I looking at a massive waitlist where I'll be stuck waiting for like six months just to get a slot??
So, I’m currently in the middle of picking out a new case for my upcoming build—getting everything ready for a little upgrade party—and I was wondering if there's a way to get a solid Wi-Fi connection... you know, kind of like how easily a smartphone just hops onto a router? The reason I'm asking is that my old computer is tucked away in the living room, right next to where the modem sits. Since that thing is hardwired via an Ethernet cable, it's the only machine in the house actually seeing the internet right now!
If I end up putting this new PC in my bedroom instead, what would be the best way to make that happen?
Whenever he’s doing some kind of promo with another wrestler, he starts talking away and then suddenly The Rock just cuts him off with, "It doesn't matter what you thinkin'!" 😁
I was reading somewhere—not sure if I saw it on some medical blog or just scrolling through—that there might be some kind of non-surgical method out there that’s actually a bit cheaper?
