How to live with scars? in Psychology & Therapy ·
vividorca9 said:Man, you kids are getting crazier by the day. 🤣

Come on, seriously, are you even sane? On a psychology forum filled with unstable people, you're sitting here talking all passionately about how you cut yourself and how great you feel now.

🤣

And with a scalpel, no less. 😲

Yeah, I'm satisfied with them. I still remember when I cut myself; blood was getting everywhere and I could barely stop the bleeding. 😁😁😁😁😁

Importing from China in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Can someone walk me through this rule about duty-free goods under $50? It mentions free shipments, but I'm confused about what that actually means. Does it mean shipping is free, or does it mean the items aren't taxed because they were sent as a gift from a friend?

Are you even realizing how many people out there think exactly like you? It’s like, "Yeah, I want to be loaded, but let's make it easy." Just a heads up—you're basically walking into a crowded room thinking you're special when everyone else is chasing the same shortcut.

You wander into an online spirituality forum and basically admit you just want the money without doing any of the heavy lifting, and then you go ahead and imply that spiritual growth is just a waste of time. Talk about a bold move.
Look, I’ll be the bigger person here and give you a little pointer. Why don't you head over to a subreddit for guys looking for get-rich-quick schemes and post about wanting easy money? I'm sure you'll find your tribe there. And once you actually strike it rich, then maybe pop over to a finance sub and brag about having more money than you know what to do with.
Good luck with that. Let us know how it pans out.

Yeah, I think that's just a waste of time.
But this frustration with how things are right now is starting to take a toll on my mental health.
Money can be made through hard work and struggle, but I haven't found the right job yet. Here’s twenty bucks. $0.00 You put in twelve hours of work. If you don't like it, just go home.

And I am waiting for her.😢

It seems like people get so dissatisfied with their actual lives that they try to offload that entire emotional burden onto the idea of "luck" or "winning."
Besides, happiness and satisfaction are two very different animals.
Satisfaction is something you manufacture through focus, whereas true happiness is really just the byproduct of feeling fulfilled by that sense of personal satisfaction across most areas of your life.
So, while satisfaction is built (usually) through hitting tangible, material goals, happiness is more of an ongoing process.

Of course I’m going to blame luck. Some people are lucky enough to work at a big corporation making $3k a month while someone way more capable can't find a job at all. (Example: the US government)

Jacob Sanchez7 said:Just a thought—meditation isn't necessarily about spirituality. Think of it like defragmenting a hard drive. If you don't do it occasionally, the system gets overloaded. Just like you need to train your body and mind, the mind needs defragmentation just like the body needs sleep. 😉

Anyway, the book I mentioned provides tools and processes that require leaps of faith, and from there, it's up to you. Do you actually want to hit that jackpot, or do you just think you want it while your subconscious is pulling you elsewhere? You have to clear out your internal world first—and that's where meditation helps. If you don't believe me, go ask science.

Maybe sleep is enough.🤷

What would you actually do if you hit a massive jackpot?

If I hit a serious jackpot, I'd put it into various projects that I believe have real future potential.

Winning would definitely make me happy. I haven't played the lottery in quite a while, but it got me thinking: out of all the different games of chance out there, why does it feel like I have zero luck?
If winning the jackpot were truly impossible, nobody would bother playing. Some people have been playing the lottery since day one. They might never see a cent, but they keep going because it gives them hope—that one day, things might finally go their way. It made me realize that I need to work harder in life, though I'm still struggling to figure out where to channel my energy to actually make some real money.

Just checking in here after reading through your comments. I’ve actually started working on a new web project. I won't go into too much detail right now.
I noticed some of you think I have a gambling problem. That's not the case. I just wanted to see if my luck would hold up—you never know unless you try. I haven't lost much money; I don't really care about the cash. I even tried playing the stock market, but luck wasn't on my side there either, so I'm moving on from that. I need to focus on making steady, reliable money instead. As for spiritual stuff, I'm not buying it. It's all nonsense to me. I don't see any point in wasting time on meditation or anything like that. Life is too short to waste time.

I just need to get this off my chest.
Honestly, I’m struggling with the feeling that I just have zero luck in life.
I always dream about hitting it big on a lottery ticket. I played for a couple of months, but I eventually quit because I actually save more money when I don't play. Then I tried poker for two days. No luck there either, so I stopped. I even gave roulette a shot a few times with some small change, but nothing happened. Even when it comes to romance, it's a total bust, despite a few brief flings here and there.
The only thing I have going for me is my job, but I really don't want to spend my entire life working for someone else. Why does the universe feel like it's against me? What am I supposed to do?
