Best protein powders for muscle gain? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
George Collins80, if you actually know your daily protein requirements and how much you’re already getting from whole foods, calculating your scoops becomes easy. It's simple math. As for glucose, you really need to think about your specific goals and what your diet looks like. Adding extra sugar on top of a poor diet? You aren't going to build muscle; you're just going to end up with belly fat. So many people don't understand how any of this works in the body. They just drink whey because they think they have to, but that's honestly just throwing money down the drain if you aren't seeing results.

Hey everyone, just checking in. Here are a few photos from last year when I was around 225 lbs, compared to where I am now at 165 lbs. My goal is to lean out even further, but man, this stubborn belly fat is driving me crazy—it just won't budge! Imgur

Can we please use a little logic here? Whey was around long before everyone started obsessing over specific formulas, and pros were using it just like any other supplement back in the day. There weren't a hundred different brands on the shelf then, yet people were still putting on incredible physiques. At the end of the day, most of this is just noise. It doesn't matter if your shake is more or less foamy. What actually matters is your diet, your training, and your recovery. As long as you aren't consuming soy, you're fine. Real results are earned through grit and hard work; a supplement isn't going to do anything for you if the foundation isn't already solid.

You should probably steer clear of soy. Honestly, the protein you get from soy just isn't on the same level as animal-based sources. If you take a second to compare prices, you'll notice those plant proteins seem cheaper, but they aren't worth it. Plus, if you're actually trying to build muscle, soy is definitely not the way to go.

Honestly, you're better off just sticking with Whey protein. It’s easily the most budget-friendly option, and if you want to level up the nutrition, just toss in some low-fat cottage cheese, oats, or a banana. You'll end up with a much higher-quality meal than those cheap Mass Gainers that are basically just loaded with sugar. If anyone is looking to grab proteins or supplements at wholesale prices, just shoot me a DM.
